Good Points: Food, service and wine were perfect

General comments: Chelsea, Italian, Frantoio: We had the exceptional pleasure of dining at Frantoio this past Sunday with friends from Chelsea, while visiting London from San Francisco, CA. In San Francisco there are many fine Italian restaurants - however, I would put Frantoio up against any of them. The atmosphere was lovely, service was perfection and the food truly surpassed all expectations, by any standard. We had the salmon salad, asparagus and parmesan salad, 3 out of 6 of us ordered the roast lamb and I had the chicken. Every single dish arrived was prepared with great care, perfect presentation and substantial portions. The red and white wine recommendations were wonderful and everything was an exceptional value.
The owner and chef stopped by our table to make sure everything was going well. We could not give them enough praise!
I would highly recommend Frantoio to anyone that wanted a superb neighborhood restaurant experience at a place that wants to make sure your every need is met. I would also recommend that a person go out of their way to seek Frantoio out for a fine dining experience.
