We bought the Olympus C3040 for the office, and it has been successfully used by both experienced photographers and complete novices, with equally good results - it never produces less than crisp, sharp images. This versatility is what we needed, but even if you don't, it's a very good piece of kit. Recommended....

“If you have used an SLR camera and want to have...”

If you have used an SLR camera and want to have control over your pictures, then the Olympus C3040 camera does it all. You can still take pictures with the minimum of fuss just by switching on and pressing the button; but when you want to be more creative or need more control for difficult shoots, then the options are there on a straight forward menu.

If however you want to replace a point & shoot compact, then you'll probably not be interested in the features and go for a smaller automatic...
