Good Points: Size of the phone is just sufficient. The single line lcd has an advantage that it is always protected when the phone falls etc. So overall a sturdy handset.

Bad Points: Battery weight is somewhat more.

General comments: This is a great handset of it's time. A sturdy one. The character size is somewhat bigger so it is clear to read. Nearly every parameter is displayed in this screen so no problem. Composer is helpful in creating latest ringtones.

The Ericsson GF768 is a great little mobile phone but I had a few little problems with the battery and the lack of ring tones but other than that this phone is faultless.

(second post after using the phone for a while) My previous post made mention of the Ericsson GF768 phone being somewhat too basic, mainly because i couldnt find how to delete a phone book entry. After reading previous posts on here i noticed someone with the same comment, and a reply to it, just find your phone book entry and hold down the CLR key and it will prompt an ERASE? to you.
After using the phone for some time now i find it quite a nice phone to use and the have found no real problem ...

Having just recently got my ericsson GF768 i have noticed some faults, as mentioned earlier the ring tone is too quiet, i find the plain mono tone ring is the loudest so leave it on that. The phone is basic with it's features- in fact a little too basic. The single line of text is a touch annoying, and also for the life of me i can't find a way to delete phone book entries, i can only modify them (this may be something i'm doing wrong). Another annoying thing is if you recieve a call but go out ...

Lucky I got this for free. The one line display is atrocious, and the battery doesn't last very long at all. A horrible little phone, except for the fact that it looks semi OK. Wish I hadn't drowned my Nokia 6210 :(

I have been using this mobile for the last year and apart from battery problems i did not face any other problem and find it very easy to operate as i compare it with other mobiles available in the market.

Some people criticise the one line display. I think the Big characters used are also an advantage. The "deep" placement of the display protects it from scratches (after two years of use not a single scratch on the display, without using an ugly leather pouch).

I have had this phone, must be nearly two years now and it has never let me down until recently. The aerial has started playing up and I get no-network more often than I should.

This was my first rea phone and I am going to have trouble parting with it, but I fancy one of those T28's, even smaller.

I even lost it in my local high street and someone handed it into the police.

You can erase names in the phone book, by holding down erase, very easy really.

This is an awful phone and I will be glad when my contract expires to buy a new phone.

Sound quality is awful and the one line display is very unfriendly.

It's now shown me you get what you pay for - so I'm going to buy an 8210 soon.

Okay the phones small, but the screen has got to be one of the worst seen on a UK mobile for a long time. Thank heavens the phone is now discontinued (even on one2one pre-pay)
