Quite surprised by the lack of positivity regarding running in the Nike Air Max. I tend to run approx 8 - 10 km, three or four times a week in this shoe. I weigh approx 95 Kilos / 14 stone. The shoe is very comfortable, especially for long distance, i find they are a good shock absorber, light weight and fast drying. The only negative point, made quite a few time here is the price, i do feel Nike over charge for the shoe and that is why i generally only buy this version when it goes on sale.
My current pair i have owned for over 4 months and look as good now as when i first bought them. I only ever run in them and find the shoe lasts approx 18 months before i need to consider buying a new pair.

Nike Air Max are great looking shoes, but less comfort than my Saucony's and asics.
I bought these for the styling (so for the wrong reason)but after a while they began to fall apart, what i never have had with my other shoes.
After 3 months the where totaly broken. the bottom fell off and the nose split in half.

no not a quality shoe but a great looking!

the shoe is nice and stable with good cushion but it is very firm. the initial step not soft. great shoe for heavier runners.

i run 25-30 miles per week and weights 163lbs. i find the Nike Air Max to be too firm. i also use a plastic orthotic under my factory insole. i think this shoe would be softer if i did not use my orthotics. the heel would most likely benefit from the air cushion design.

I wouldn't recommend the Nike Air Max, they aren't very comfortable, i found that they restricted my feet and caused some pains further up my leg. Ive been told that they were probably trapping a nerve.

They may be better for other people but i just couldn't get on with them and went to a running shop for advice, rather than a sports shoes where they don't know what they are selling.

I think these are really good Trainers even though these are quite expencive they last for a long time so you don't have to keep buying new trainers. I have just bought some of these trainers and my daughter love these type of trainers. We have bought these trianers 3 times before. I recommend these trainers for parents who are looking for strong, comfortable and stylish trainers go for Nike Air Max Trainers.

Why are you guys bashing it? You don't run in these shoes anymore, they are more for looks than for running. For running you go for Brooks, ASICS, New Balance, any company except for Nike. These are great shoes for walking, comfortable, but don't expect them to last more than 2 months tops if you plan on running in them. Again, this is a very old design, and they look cool and "retro" just for walking around, not for jogging.

Do not purchase. After running in these shoes for only 2 months, my knee started hurting. After 2 weeks of pain, I decided to inspect these new great shoes. I had a FLAT TIRE. I took the shoes back to Footlocker where I was told, we warn everyone who purchases these shoes that this can happen. I would not have paid as much as I did if I had known this was a possiblity. I have mailed back the shoes to Nike and am waiting for a response. Oh yeah, my knee still hurts.

I have no idea where to start with this, so I am going to follow these bullet points and eventually arrive to a climax where I rip this particular Nike Air Max Trainer to bits.

1 - The Price - For some reason Nike continue to charge extremely ridiculous high prices for a training shoe that doesn't last more than 10 months. The average shoe hits the market at a whopping 90 quid and is no different to the abominable Nike Air Max that originally came out more than 10 years ago (1991 to be exac ...
