What is there to say on the best handling car I have ever owned. The performance of my 190 is superb it is well equipped and has been fitted with the sports suspension pack (my only mistake) this gives it exception handling but a boneshaker ride over rough surfaces. But you forgive it everything every time you turn the key or enter a fast bend it's a real drivers car with rugged good looks. They are one of the best-kept secrets of motoring a barging ... ...and only last about 20 -25k budget on...

Had a Rover 620ti before this is much better, I know people say "its only a Rover", But they have not driven it, they would change thier mind. What a car, glad to own one....

Love it. Comfy, enough gadgets, holds the road like glue, practical for everything and sporty. The mesh grill looks best....

Great car. I used to own BMW's and this to me is better. I'm smitten. Its never a dull drive in the big old MG. You won't be disappointed. At 3500 RPM the engine note changes and it flies! Not as quick as an M3 but just as rewarding....

I bought my 05 second hand Silver ZT 190+ with 18,000 on the clock in June 07, what a car! I live 80 miles from the garage where it was for sale, in this neck of the woods this is an extremely rare car, the garage agreed to bring it to me to view, it went past me as I was sitting waiting to view it in my old car, unbeknown to the salesman I had already decided to buy based on its looks alone! The drive is an awsome experance, what power & grunt from the V6, the noise high rev is sensational, no...

Mg (Rover) ZT 190+ in solar red 2005 bought with 18k miles now26k . I have owned the car for 13 months and have waited this long to place a review so it would be objective and accurate (in my opinion of course) for any reader who may be thinking about purchasing a ZT The reason i said I had waited is down to the fact that the review i would have given say 10 months ago would have been very different for this review. Hear go's The car looks absolutely stunning in red with the 18inch alloys and...

I found this review helpful because...it was comprehensive and covered all of the question marks I had in my mind following a recent road test.
Especially useful was the comment about the tightness of clutch and engine up until 25 k miles.
I noticed the same thing on my test drive and it put my mind at rest.
<br/>many thanks....

Got the car 18 months old with 15K on for £8K a bargain! It had a water leak on the thermostat (repaired by the garage I bought it from for free). Then the wheel bearing went and the warranty tried to say 'fair wear and tear'. The parts were a nightmare to get hold off had to wait 2 weeks!!! The washers packed in for no apparent reason and then worked again. I couldn't wait to get rid of it then. Now got a slightly older (53reg) 2.7 Hyundai Coupe and although the engine is not as sweet,...

I was looking for a new car, mainly BMW or Merc, but saw the MG Rover ZT, a 190+ in X-power grey at nearly half of what we were expecting to pay for the others, test drove it and fell in love. Since owning it we have had no problems with it at all. It has all the things we were looking for on the other makes of car, and best of all we have saved a lot of money both in buying it in the first place and keeping it going....

Awesome car, have had some good times but my wife hates it the clutch is to heavy and it goes to fast, I have absolutely no complaints about this car and I will be so sad to see my baby go, but my wife says it must, so it must.

Overall the MG Rover ZT 190 V6 is a great car, really good fun to drive, pretty quick, and remarkably practical too (the Rover 75 underpinnings shining through, I suppose). There are a couple of small issues with build quality (the doors need a real slam to get them shut, and the inertia reel on the passenger seatbelt is temperamental - several passengers have ended up sat in the back because the front one wouldn't behave!), but so far it's reliable, and my only real gripe is the cost of running...

Faultless in the year that I have had my latest 190+ which follows on from a 260SE and an earlier (Y-reg) 190. Service intervals at just one-a-year are twice as long as for the V8 260 version. A well built car, and you don't see (m)any of them in hedges, unlike the ZRs!...

I bought a new MG Rover ZT 190+ recently and what a super car! I looked at BMW`s, and this car is a much better and under rated choice. It is reliable and a joy to drive. Value for money is good at £24,000 new. Now brand new registered car`s are at around £14,500. Try one please!!...

I have had my ZT190 for 6 months in which time I have fitted a power flow exhaust K&N race filter and a bigger throttle body it is now about 204bhp not that much more power but watch all the little boy racers sink lower into their seats when you pull up at the lights and they hear the big v6 roaring at them. I have owned 3 BMW's a VW and 2 Audi's and I would say its the best all rounder for looks, power and handling if not a little thirsty....

2nd Rover ZT we have had in the family - both delighted. The car has been faultless and I have enjoyed every minute of driving it. I bought mine for much much less than an equiv German car and having owned several I can say this is every bit as good - just look at any user satisfaction survey or owners forum. Running costs not too bad - 28-31mpg, 15k service interval, belt change not due until 90k - only 18" tyres pricey but last 20k & getting cheaper now. Chassis so capable (uprated engine, gearbox,...

I've owned one of these MG Rover ZT 190+V6 Executive Cars for 2 1/2 years. Aside from running costs (which if like us you only run one car) this is by far the best car I've ever owned. 100% reliable, fast (when gunned), great looks, and exclusive. It amazes me that people who've just spent £30K on a dull BMW look at it ruefully! By being stupidly badge conscious they have done themselves out of a seriously great bargain car....

If you can afford the running costs, the MG Rover ZT is a family car for grown up 'boy racers'. It's got the looks, its well speced and has a lively performance.
The front sports seats combined with a stiff suspension make this a very uncomfortable car. The build quality of the interior trim is also suspect - the 'leather-look' plastic seat trim cracking in several places after just 3 years and 60,000 miles. Mechanical reliability has been excellent.
Residual values are an absolute...

Just bought a ZT190 SE in monogram Twilight (New shape). What an amazing car, I just love it. Only had it for 1 month and put 2k on the clock. Any excuse to drive it!!! The build quality is fantastic and the number of toys on the SE model is enough to satisfy anyone. This includes Satellite navigation, cruise control, 6 cd player, rain sensitive wipers, xenons, leather heated electric seats etc, etc. All this for 27K, try getting a BMW or Merc for that price with that kind of spec. The colour has...

Wait until you try to sell it then you will see the difference between Mercs/BMWs and the huge losses on your ZT.
Written on: 25/09/2005
who cares about depreciation, when you drive such a great car in the first place. I have no intention of selling it. I've had my ZT since 2001 and even if it is in boring silver, it still looks great.

The MG Rover ZT 190+V6 is one seriously quick A to B motor. Handling is superb, brilliant!. While a Subaru or Evo is faster they don't exude the sheer class and quality of the ZT. I have to say that the ZT is a joy to drive and own, a fast family car for grown ups who dont wear their baseball caps back to front or believe that a BMW is the only car in town. Of course its not perfect, a better boot, more interior room would be great but as a whole package its very hard to beat, a car for the discerning...

If you like plenty of power then when you rev this beast it will fly. The design of the seats in the MG Rover ZT 190+V6 are excellent and they will not allow you to be thrown round the cabin. Their could be a little more room in the boot if you have a family.. Why not by the 5 door tourer.
Why did MG Rover not add some of the extras that are availiable. Perhaps if you like all the toys then get the Ghia x mondeo v6 not as quick but a bigger car around.
But The MG ZT 190+ is a still a good...
