    purchased a leather vienna suite within 2 days of dely the leather on the
    seats started to sag and harveys say this is normal 3months old now and looks 10 years old has anyone else got same problem?

    Well, in fairness this all happened a couple of years ago, we took my 80 year old mother into Harveys at Silverlink, North Shields to buy a new dining suite inc Glass display dresser, dining table with 4 chairs and 2 carvers.

    I won't go into great detail as being awhile ago, I would not wish to try to be specific after so long. Cost was in the region of £2700

    very poor services from Harvey's furniture store, 8 weeks for wardrobes to arrive when they did they were all damaged, spent 3/4 hour trying to get through to them to be told we will have to wait another 4 weeks for the damaged parts to be replaced, I wish I had listened to friends who have in the past made purchases from Harvey's and warned me not too buy from them, I wont be using them again.harvey's need to adresss thier delivery policy if I had been told how long it would take and what would ...

    I must admit I didn't read any reviews until after I placed my order. After reading through pages of reviews I felt very uneasy about my purchase however I must say they rang me last week to confirm delivery today (Saturday) and requested the balance to be paid at least 3 working days before.     After 4 months of phone calls registered letters and emails Harveys are getting a solicitors letter from me.
    Keep away from this company as all they do is pass the buck from one person to another...

    DO NOT USE HARVEYS!!!

    I wouldn't even recommend this company to my worst enemy. I cannot stress how bad harveys are!!

    I was very pleased with the service I received at the Lakeside store on 06.04.09 so I ordered a 3 seater sofa and chair. I paid in full and waited a while for these items (which wasn't a problem) and was excited to receive a call to arrange delivery for 13.06.09. I even received a text the day prior to confirm delivery between 8-11AM, which I thought was fantastic organisation. ...

    After ordering a sofa and chair ('Castillo' range)from Harveys online on 30 August 2009, I read several negative reviews of the store and its customer service.     About a week ago, we ordered a set of oak furniture for the living room from Harveys Furniture. Yesterday, realizing that the order was incorrect - we wanted a plasma tv unit instead of the corner tv unit (identically) priced, we asked to change the order.     Received my order damaged. Rang Harveys and was given a number to ring as this department did not deal with damaged goods. Rang the new number given and was told to ring the orginal number. This went on for an hour between the two numbers. Talk about fobbed off. I only got a response when I asked for Head office address to start legal action.     I decided to leave a review since the ones I found when I searched were all pretty bad and I wanted to highlight our good experience. After much consideration we decided to go with a bed frame from Harveys, we preferred a mattress from elsewhere so only bought the bed frame.     Harvey's Furniture are possibly the worst retailer I have had to deal with. Placed an order for furniture back in May 09. The table arrived with two screws protruding through top of table - dangerous. Ignored our original request for a replacement, only until threat of legal action did they place a new order.     Waited ten weeks for our furniture, on time.Told delivery would be between 1pm and 4 pm, arrived at 5.30pm, on putting the furniture together, they had a problem with the three seater, finally got it together and left.

    Sofas arrived on time from harbeys, however both the 3 and 2 seater were missing their feet. Phoned to get some sent, got told I'd have them in a week. Week and half later called back, got told a further 2 weeks. Table arrived damaged however as we didn't report it within 3 days the aftersales are not prepared to do anything and the insurance we took out of the items does not cover damage done before delivery!     Veneer on Table broken down and we are now taking them to small claims court as they ignore our letters and tried to fix the veneer with furniture oil! I will absolutely not go to Harveys Furniture ever again.

    bought a new suit from Harveys Furniture in april when it arrived it was damaged so rang up for a new bone and was told i had to have it repaired which the new covering has to come from china.this was 8 weeks ago and now been told it could be another 8 weeks because the factory in china is closed for holidays

    Me and my parner baught a turin 2+3 seater sofas and a table and four leather chairs from harvey's on mayday bank holiday weekend, the prices were fantastic and the guy who sold it to us seemed nice enough and stated that the sofas would be on express delivery between 3-5 weeks and that the tables would be about 7 to 10 weeks, the sofas turned up on week 7 minus one set of feet and the table and chairs are still nowhere to be seen. we have contcated them twice a week since the delivery of the so ...
