“1st and last time using Harveys”

Ordered several pieces of Furniture early October having been assured 5 to 6 weeks delivery time ,finally got part of order on 16th December ,Dining table and 6 chairs, but not chairs that we ordered ,informed the store whilst delivery driver still here to be told will get back to us in 10 mins,as Drivers were anxious to get off and expecting guest for Xmas we kept the chairs hoping to get it sorted in New Year.First week of New Year phoned store who told us Customer Services responsibility… Read Full Review

“Buyer beware”

Darlington branch, great deals and prices are no bloody good if you don't get the goods, ordered suite, agreed delivery date between 12-7.. Took day off work, gets phone call, sorry wont be getting suite today, in fact as its the Friday before Christmas it wont be coming till new year some time, Now 10th of jan and im told they cant deliver because the computer shows no order and they have lost suite. customer service none, once they've got your money. up yours. will never buy from Harveys… Read Full Review

“Stressful experience”

We visited the Straiton store near Edinburgh to purchase a sofa suit and dining table suit. From the minute we entered the showroom the staff were like vultures. One member in particular was there each and every time we turned round or showed an interest in a piece. So much so that we felt we had no choice bit to leave the showroom to go elsewhere and spend our money. Exactly the same as us. Bought a suite in Livingston arrived on time but this is the only thing that we can say as a positive. Our complaint is one where the footstool / ottoman arrived damaged and with the weave running off from left to right on the top of the unit. The cushions on the two sofas are supposed to be firm but they are not any where near as firm as the cushions on the showroom model.

With in ta week of raising our complaints already received an email advising that according to the 'independent technician' there is nothing wrong with the sofa cushions.
Absolutely raging very dismissive email which basically said 'do one your getting nothing' this is despite the customer service individual advising that the footstool would be replaced due to the damage.. Never again and will never pay cash for anything again as I intend to check out the insurance that comes with my credit card..

Did you buy from the Lullaby range by any chance?

I have the exact same issue as you, bought a lullaby couch and the cushions are terrible quality, so bad that sitting on them for more than half an hour gives you back ache! Tried to complain, had an 'independent technician' come out (which took over a month to organise) who said there is no fault and have now been told by Harveys that if I want better cushions I have to pay £150 (after paying over £1,000 originally) and they're not willing to do anything else for me! Say I am unable to return couch and they are not willing to provide the better cushions free of charge. Worst customer service ever!!

“14 weeks awaiting sofa with little contact, do not use!”

Yesterday we cancelled our order due to waiting 14 weeks with at least 4 promises of delivery and being told "guaranteed Christmas delivery". delivery date arranged for 23rd December (in fact the customer service were surprised and a little put off when we excepted the date- we were desperate at this point!), text received to confirm between 7am-1pm but at 10am we were phoned to say the delivery driver will come but will not have the sofa as it wasn't on the pallet when opened. right from the… Read Full Review

“Do not buy from Harveys!!”

Couldnt agree more. Absolutely useless! I ordered a sofa in september and Its Still Not here! I have had one Call from customer services saying it would be later than the original promised date of first week in December but definitely before Christmas. Apparantley, after Several calls yesterday, Its Not even in the warehouse. No sofas for Christmas! Never again!!

“Untrustworthy ”

When I bought the sofa , I was talked into buying the 5year cover "that apparently covers the sofa for any eventuality !!!" There's manufacturers cover for any faults or defects , and there's insurance cover for accidental damage . Salesman was excellent. Not pushy. Explained everything we asked, then left us to have a goof look around the store, but said to ask if there was any help we needed. Chose sofa we liked and he was able to confirm that it was in stock and could even arrange delivery date, which was quite soon. “Avoid at all costs!!!!”

Visited the store after seeing sofa we liked. We opted for the colour that was on display which was a pale grey and which we were told by the sales agent was called 'Eagle grey'. Never use Harveys!!! Firstly we specifically asked in the shop for a sofa which came apart and it came and it couldn't go up the stairs!! We had to spend 4 hours on the phone trying to find another sofa and get a reduction which first they offered a megre £50 off. When finally the sofa came, we realized they don't know the difference between brown and black! Should have had our furniture today van turned up with paperwork and no furniture. Contacted customer service absolutely useless told me there were not any of the suites in the country. I said I would take the store one at a discounted price to no avail. We now do not have any furniture and believe it or not they then offered a refund. My fiancé and purchased a sofa with a categorical guarantee from the salesman that it would be delivered to our address in no more than 8 weeks. After 7 weeks I called to confirm we would be receiving delivery within the next week. We are still waiting for our sofa we ordered and paid in full for. It has been over the "recommended" 10 weeks and still no sofa in sight. There was a problem with the company supplying the material, so why when i called after 5 weeks to check progress did no one bother to mention this. Complete lack of communication from anyone.
