We ordered a Ceasar board at the Chester store. They estimated a 13 week delivery. I am writing to you to share my recent experience with your local harveys store in Crawley. We ordered a garden furniture set on 18th April 2014 which was on display in store at price £399.00(table with 4 chairs and two stools and free parasol). “Do not buy from Harveys!!”

We bought sofas in October, the sales representative specifically promised it would come before xmas on 11th December. We got rid of our sofas a few days before the 11th. We didnt hear anything we called and they said it will not come before xmas they dont know when it will come. it is now the 23rd December we have no sofas nowhere for the family to sit and nowhere for the guests to sit at Christmas. Couldnt agree more. Absolutely useless! I ordered a sofa in september and Its Still Not here! I have had one Call from customer services saying it would be later than the original promised date of first week in December but definitely before Christmas. Apparantley, after Several calls yesterday, Its Not even in the warehouse. No sofas for Christmas! Never again!!

“Shocking customer service, Harveys are unreliable ”

I ordered our new sofas in September, they were supposed to arrive on the 18th of Nov, half of the order finally arrived this week. I was promised the rest by Christmas. I have just phoned customer services, listened to their terrible hold music whilst I worked my way down from position 19 to 1 in the queue only for the line to then say ' sorry Harveys cannot currently answer your call' and cut me off. “Untrustworthy ”

When I bought the sofa , I was talked into buying the 5year cover "that apparently covers the sofa for any eventuality !!!" There's manufacturers cover for any faults or defects , and there's insurance cover for accidental damage . The only downside to this extra cover " that cost £300" is that when you try to claim they send out someone that works for them to give an "independent " survey which says that a broken recliner mechanism and thread leather inside the joints and stitching that's… Read Full Review

“Bit of confusion”

Salesman was excellent. Not pushy. Explained everything we asked, then left us to have a goof look around the store, but said to ask if there was any help we needed. Chose sofa we liked and he was able to confirm that it was in stock and could even arrange delivery date, which was quite soon. “Avoid at all costs!!!!”

Visited the store after seeing sofa we liked. We opted for the colour that was on display which was a pale grey and which we were told by the sales agent was called 'Eagle grey'. Never use Harveys!!! Firstly we specifically asked in the shop for a sofa which came apart and it came and it couldn't go up the stairs!! We had to spend 4 hours on the phone trying to find another sofa and get a reduction which first they offered a megre £50 off. When finally the sofa came, we realized they don't know the difference between brown and black! Harveys took money for a corner sofa knowing they did not have it in stock. First delivery: took day off work, van driver says 1 piece missing, told it is in a different warehouse, we refused to accept delivery. Should have had our furniture today van turned up with paperwork and no furniture. Contacted customer service absolutely useless told me there were not any of the suites in the country. I said I would take the store one at a discounted price to no avail. We now do not have any furniture and believe it or not they then offered a refund. My fiancé and purchased a sofa with a categorical guarantee from the salesman that it would be delivered to our address in no more than 8 weeks. After 7 weeks I called to confirm we would be receiving delivery within the next week. We are still waiting for our sofa we ordered and paid in full for. It has been over the "recommended" 10 weeks and still no sofa in sight. There was a problem with the company supplying the material, so why when i called after 5 weeks to check progress did no one bother to mention this. Complete lack of communication from anyone. “Disgraceful quality & service”

Firstly a late delivery of 6 months, followed by 5 faulty sofas (waiting months in between) - one of which the electrical motor blew up when the sofa was being delivered, appauling customer service which were inconsistent and completely useless.
