After waiting 5 months for a leather reclining sofa and chair they eventually arrived. After 7 months the seats are flat and uncomfortable. Two "independent" engineers called and both said this was "acceptable" as the fibre in the seats had to settle. “Disgusting Company”

Ordered sofa at the start of January 2015 and as yet it is not even in there distribution centre have been given three different excuses as to why it is not in. Customer services are shocking they never call back and seem to have no problem in lying to you. Compensation offered was a joke and I am now trying to cancel my order but have to wait for thier area manager to ok this on Monday. Same thing happened to us. Waited 6 months for sofa and chair - was told it had come into warehouse but when unpacked it was damaged and had to be reordered. Had the sofa 8 months now and had two "independent" engineers (nominated by Harveys) out as the cushions on the sofa have gone flat. Their answer was that this was acceptable as "fibre" flattens with time. Now stuck with a settee that looks as if its had years of wear and is so uncomfortable to sit on. We are pensioners with no grandchildren. The salesman told us that he had exactly the same sofa and his grandchildren stayed over and slept on it. What a load of rubbish. Take my advice and cancel. Anyone who deals with this company after reading reviews (which we didn't) should take it all in because all reviews are TRUE. Rubbish company and Rubbish products.

“Delivery of furniture Poor”

Ordered a Noir dining table & chairs in late Jan this year 2015, from Harvey's in Cardiff. Just received delivery today 11th May after waiting 4 months appalling delivery service no communication for point of order apart from a text to say when they would be delivering the item. I had to chase the company on several occasions on the day of delivery as they promised delivery in the morning between 7am & 1 pm but to no avail. “Wrong colour delivered”

Ordered a leather three seater and two seater Pearl leather suite 16 weeks ago. We were pleased when Harveys rang and told us it was in and would be delivered today. Delivery men brought in the three seater first then asked if we had ordered a different colour for the two seater only the one they brought in was a greeny grey colour. “shocking company”

“FRUSTRATING, RUBBISH COMPANY”

We ordered our two settee and three settee back on 28th December 2014 and were told delivery could be up to 16 weeks, so we thought thats a long time but were happy to go ahead. We received no phone calls whatsoever on how our order was doing and when the end of our estimated time came we rang Harveys to see what the problem was. “Avoid at all cost”

Just had a suite delivered after 13 weeks this is my second one as the first one had so many fault I was asked to pick a new one,just got the other one last week14/04/15 this one is also faulty ,the chair lies at a slant you have to bang the recliner chair about 3 or 4 times very hard to put it back in,the two seater sofer back cushions is higher that the other there is also a shaded part on it as if someone's head has been on it a lot,one side of the sofa at the top corner has no padding in it… Read Full Review

“THE WORST RETAILER EVER! ”

So, husband recovering from bowel cancer and convalescing from surgery. Husband needed his own bedroom so we decorated, new bed and to finish it off a nice new carpet, the best underlay and naturally, a new door bar! “Worst customer service ever! ”

My furniture was meant to be delivered on 8th April. There was an issue and have called Harvey's everyday to sort out and arrange an alternative delivery.... I am still waiting for my furniture. I have dealt with 5 different people and not one has filled in paperwork correctly or called back with an update. First impressions of Harveys store and staff are OK, we ordered a sofa and got the usual 8-10 weeks delivery. Despite chasing on numerous occasions after 10 weeks, we kept getting fobbed off with lots of excuses, wrong / faulty material or some such. After something like 30 phone calls, we got a delivery date of ...23rd December, 2 days before Christmas. We got rid of the old sofa (I know.....!) I've taken my elderly grandma to one of Harvey's stores today. The customer service to begin with was brilliant a lovely gentleman greeted us and told us that if we needed any help or had any questions find him and he'd help which was perfect as there's nothing worse than being pestered while your looking. I regret ordering a leather 3 seater and 2 seater. The 3 seater arrived and no 2 seater! Went back to store only to find that one sales assistant blamed in on another! How can someone order one and not the other. Totally incompetent! Then had to wait over 2 weeks with one sofa, over the easter break with loads of guests coming round. “Online furniture purchase ”

Please avoid this company at all costs, very very poor customer service, you will be on hold indefinitely. Had to give this 1 star as there is no option for a minus figure !! if you want to buy furniture and you want masses of stress, lies and broken promises - go ahead and order from this company. “appaling start to finish”

Cambridge store - inept and incorrect sales advice. Customer service calls and emails not responded to. Eventually delivery with parts missing, cannot collect small parts from store as they will not release to us, the customer with id and a receipt. Instead must wait in all day to receive goods!!! “Terrible service from start to finish”

I ordered a couch and armchair 6 months ago, still no sign of it. The Customer Service line is a complete joke, nobody communicates, nobody knows what is going on. I have been ignored, lied to and hung-up on. Visited the store to get a refund and was refused a cash refund (which is how we paid) were told we had to wait 2 weeks for a cheque to be issued. Ordered an Exley chair in March from Middlebrook branch. Paid upfront as is the norm, for delivery within 2 weeks. We were told the chair was self assembly and that the delivery men would take away the packing.
