“Pathetic”

11 wk delivery date. On the day of delivery, I get a call saying the driver can't find the street! it's not on google! asking is it in the UK!? The problem is that the delivery guys are illiterate so didn't know how to read. Then a second call from an unprofessional driver saying he's stuck somewhere. Complained and then got told that maybe the drivers were confused with a nearby railway line! or it would depend on which end of the street they came from that may have confused them!!! Sofas ordered in January, told 12 week delivery. Phone call and text came with a delivery time. The evening before at 6.45 we had a phone call to say we wont be getting the sofas as they are not even in the warehouse !!! Do they not have some sort of stock control as to what goes in and out ? We were rang and told our sofa was to be delivered on 6th March. We got rid of our old sofa the day before. Harvey recommended not to get rid of it more than the day before. They rang us on the day to tell us that due to a technical hitch our sofa was not on the van but were trying to sort it out so we would still get our sofa and someone would ring us back. Shop around, find a product, agree on price based on quality and delivery. All agreed, done. Phone call to advise, shipment will be 3 weeks delayed ? then another call while waiting, another 2 weeks. No one can send any emails so there is no recorded evidence, fortunately I have all calls recorded on my phone. 5 weeks after due day, 3months after paying. turns up, rip in the corner!!! been on to customer services 3 times, waiting a combined 1.4 hours, to have the line cut off. Finally got through, can send someone round to see if it can be repaired. Will receive a phone call within 48 hours, not sure why it cant be the next day. If it cant be repaired, the whole thing has to be replaced. 56 DAYS ive been quoted. would take the whole thing to around 6 months. after initial quote of 4-6 weeks max. Would I ever use them again....hell no. Oh PS, also had the same thing happen with our bed from Bensons - who are part of the same group. This time, we waited on the day of delivery, only to have no delivery, then we I call up, they tell me its not due for another 3 weeks. I scan them the invoice and delivery date. They say its not possible, then say its the local branch, who then say its head office. And admit that they knew about the change of delivery, but no one thought they should tell the client.!!!

“Terrible company - Don't shop at Harveys - go elsewhere!”

We ordered two sofas. Eventually we were given a delivery date. A message was left the evening before delivery stating we would not be receiving our goods as our order was not in the warehouse. This happened on two further occasions resulting in two wasted annual leave days taken. Customer call centre was attrocious - unsympathetic and unhelpful. Company is in disarray. Ordered a sofa, paid in full, promised delivery in 7 weeks. 10 weeks came i chased, next week they promised. The day came, I called them, no idea what I was talking about, never promised anything. I would never use Harvey’s Again. I ordered a sofa + a cuddle Chair with a delivery time of 7 Weeks, At the point of purchase it was made clear the sofa would not be any later than this time. Purchased 2 two seater leather sofas. The salesman was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The delivery was so well planned. Received phone call a week before stating the date. Paid in full November 2014, still no sofa by March 2015. No communication in the interim. Finally. . . . It's made!!! yay!! after much persuit. “poor customer service, short furniture life.”

Purchased 3 seater Club and 2 seater Club sofas leather recliners in 2009. Within first year, stitching on 3 seater needed attention (under warranty). In 2012 the foam disintegrated allowing springs to be felt through seating area. Sofas out of warranty, so repair effected with outside contractor. 2014 and now I have 3 other seating areas over the 2 sofas which are suffering the same fate of collapsed foam with springs poking beneath leather surface area.
