I placed a telephone order with the Harveys-lakeside on a sofa to be delivered in 13 weeks’ time and paid a deposit. 9 days after the order was placed, the same sofa is now on sale for hundred pounds cheaper. I called the store to ask about price matching or cancel my order, despite quoting my consumer rights and distance selling regulations where I have 14 calendar days from the day after you receive all goods to cancel. Firstly our sofa arrived with a hole in it! Luckily the delivery guy noticed before i did and pointed it out. They sent a technician out who said they would repair it, i'm sorry I paid for a new sofa and not a repaired one! I refused and insisted they replace the back rest cushion part that had the hole in. “Sofas with stains”

It appears all Harvey's supply is faulty furniture that you would expect in an outlet shop. Even my replacement sofa, after 15 weeks of waiting was delivered with stains. The customer service department is a joke. They offered me a 15% refund and a replacement sofa, when this was accepted , they went back on their offer. Horrible company. “delivery not as invoice”

The invoice stated 8 weeks for delivery . It took 12 weeks. Customer services said they could only apologise. If I had taken an agreement to pay over 4 years and took six years I would have a financial penalty to pay and my apology would mean nothing. “Continuous problems and faults still on going ”

Ordered the Holden sofa with 2 media trays, one with ipod dock in September 2015, they tried to deliver the sofa on 2 different days in December, the sofa had a part of the trim in the wrong colour,then in January the ipod section started smoking and started to melt the sofa and the lighting adaptor that Harveys had provided (not apple) whilst our daughter was sat next to it.when we reported this to the branch they offered us a£50 store voucher!!!! “Damaged dining table”

Hampshire light oak extending dining table & 6 chairs delivered 23.3.16. the table top was damaged. A replacement was offered and accepted. Replacement due to arrive 12.5.16 except they sent table legs instead of a table top!! A further replacement was due 27.5.16, only to be told two days before delivery date that there had been production difficulties and they were unable to make the delivery. Ordered, and paid in full January 31st 2016, given approximate delivery time of 8 weeks. After 9 weeks got the phone call to arrange delivery, great.....husband took time off work to accept delivery, we ordered a grey sofa, they delivered cream in the complete wrong range! “Dodgy pricing practice”

Went to the Banbury store and found an ideal sofa bed advertised as a special purchase at £299. We asked the sales person how long before it would be available to collect and he advised us that it had to be delivered direct, and that it would cost us £44! Surely then all items sold under this condition should be advertised for example not as £299, but as £343 inclusive of delivery. I paid in full for a corner settee and was told it would take 12-17 weeks for delivery I'm know in to my 18th week and just been told it would take a further 3 weeks, I have just come out of hospital after having heart problems and sitting on a deck chair as I was told to make sure my room was empty ready for the delivery which I done. Purchased above from Harveys and delivery was received 3/5/14. Within 2 months end seat had sunk. Engineer called and inserted extra foam. 22.4.16 Informed Harveys that both end seats have now sunk, only to be told that it was out of 1 year guarantee. Also informed customer services that the back of one seat and side of another seat the fabric has faded, only to be told that the Harveys Fabric 5 year care and protection plus guarantee only covers accidental damage. “Appalling”

Appalling customer service, once they have your money couldn't care less. Salesperson distracted us and then wrote a different date for delivery on the order, we couldn't challenge that so much as had signed the invoice. Nevertheless, we had ordered 2 sofa's they arrived 5 weeks later than expected. We bought a heavy marble table with 8 chairs (quiet expensive) and also bought insurance cover for it. Initially,before the purchase, we were promised alot of things. “Suite not delivered!!!”

Having been told by salesman in the stairfoot store my two settees would be delivered within ten weeks, I rang customer services to ask for delivery date. They promptly told me the settees weren't even in the country and not even made. Told there would be a three week delay. Rang back in three weeks and still no joy.
