“Disgraceful”

Ordered 2 sofas which took approx 18 weeks to arrive. When they did they did finally arrive they were considerably smaller, having shrunk by 16%. We had kept the card with the specifications, I checked online and the measurements had changed but in store the following day found they were still displaying the old cards. “Harveys - very poor indeed”

I placed at the Cambridge branch of Harveys on 28th May 2014 for a dining table, 4 chairs and a dresser. I was told that the order would take up to 9 weeks to be delivered. Harveys store in Chester retail park must be the worst store to shop in - the manager is not at all helpful once they have your money, they cannot do deliveries to suit you when you are in as other companies do but whenever they like. “18 weeks and still waiting for a 5 week wait product!”

We ordered a leather settee for the living room and an opal settee and chair for the conservatory. The leather settee was 15 week wait and the opal settee 5 weeks but they said that they had to deliver together. It took 18 weeks for the leather settee which they eventually agreed to deliver without the opal one which at he time they didn't know whether they had it or not. They didn't know where it was! “Totally rubbish service”

I ordered a dining room table 4 chairs sideboard and mirror from the Erdington store. Order came and was delivered within 2 weeks. Unfortunately there was an issue with the chairs and the table had damage. Harveys arranged to send someone two repair the chairs but the table had to be replaced. “Awful and never again”

We have purchased a leather corner sofa on 03/11/13 for the total amount of £1943. We have paid £443 as deposit and rest of the money as a loan, £45 per month (0%i interest) for 3 years. On 12/02/14 the sofa was delivered and had some damages. After contacting the customer service team, they have arranged an inspection and repair. “APPALLING COMPANY - DO NOT USE THEM”

Don't ever buy from this company as i have ordered a corner sofa - prices have now been reduced and harveys will not price match but all other companies like DFS do. If i want to cancel and reorder at the reduced price they will charge me 50% of the original order placed as my cancellation fee. “Fantastic service from start to finish. No complaints...”

“Late Sofa”

I ordered my sofa on 24th May and still waiting for it on 15th August. I was told would take 8-10 weeks, which is already a long time and it has now been delayed by a further 2 weeks. I have been mislead into thinking it was coming on 4 occasions and had to arrange time off work to be called up and told it has been missed off the lorry. Poor quality sofas and dining furniture. I would not use the word cheap as they are not. Had chair replaced as poorly made and the dining furniture is terrible and uncomfortable to sit on - the foam seat covering is like paper. Will not use again and not recommend either. Not complained to them further as it is a waste of time. “Total Rubbish And They Know It.”

Don't buy anything from this rip-off store. The furniture is made poorly, literally falling apart in weeks. When you complain to customer services, they write reams of waffle saying why they can't do anything . If you get past that and they send a so called technician out, that is a pure waste of time. Don't worry they are good at that bit. In a few weeks the seat will fall out of your sofa and you'll be in the complaint queue with the rest of as with rubbish Harveys furniture in the house.

“Bailey Leather Sofas”

We bought two Bailey leather sofas at Christmas 2013. They were almost the most expensive with the best leather and one with electric recliner action. After a 3 month wait the first pair arrived damaged. The corners of the seat base unit had been scuffed and on one corner the stitching had been ripped.
