I can't explain in a few words how many things went wrong .. I ordered my sofa back in January .. Three failed delivery dates and then at last a date .. My old sofas went on the Thursday . Was worried so I phoned on the wed and thurs to check as the delivery centre people said yes . Be warned yes dosent mean yes with Harvey's ... “Harveys strecthed red leather chair”

I bought a red leather chair fron HarIveys Doncaster. After 10 days i noticed excessive stretching of the leather seat. I notified harveys and after 3 companies coming to see the chair nothing has changed. On the second visit by Servico representive he agreed there was excessive stretching in the leather an proceeded to push 2in thick foam under the cushion the use a heat gun to take out the lines. “Worst ever AVOID!”

I bought a sofa in the early Jan this year 2017 was told it was the best deal with extra etc and told that it will arrive in early April and now I called to ask the status and my calls were cut off constantly at the becton branch! I've now had two time slots for delivery and twice no sofa has arrived due to "low stock". If they don't have enough stock, surely a call a few days before wouldn't be too much to ask? “Avoid Harvey's”

After waiting 3 months for my sofa, I am now cancelling my order. Inept Customer Services and ongoing delivery problems and I have had enough. OK I can accept that sometime there is an initial error, i.e. they made a mistake on the finance which meant I had to make a further payment before delivery, but once that was done the rest is just incompetent. “Completely lied to us”

We recently bought a sofa on the 3rd February 2017. The days after it arrived I came out in hives all over my body. This continued every day, itching and made me feel awful,till the 23rd march 2017. This evening we had to call an ambulance due to my face swelled, eyes and lips. I woke up wheezing and pains in my chest. I was informed it was due to a severe reaction to something. “Don't Buy a Suite From This Company ”

Ordered a dinning room table and chair for our new build house well in advsnve 12th january . They called to say it was ready w/c 17th. I told them I wasn't ready and would be in new house 28th. Called them on 28th and was told I'd receive item on 30th March ! What a total joke ! I'm now in process of trying to get my money back which from reading on here may take 30 days ! What a joke ! Where do I even start? I went into store on 26/12/2016 and ordered my new sofa and matching footstool. It's now 28/02/2017 and I'm still without my purchase. I received a text on 20/01/2017 telling me my order was ready and that I should ring to book it in for delivery. I did this and paid the remaining balance. My delivery was booked for 10/02/2017. Right got my money put back in my account, so am keeping my promise to HARVEYS FURNISHER STORE AT DRAKE HOUSE SHEFFIELD. First week of January 2017 I ordered 2 sofas from this store. Do not use this company. A simple order for a rug back in the beginning of Jan, wrong item sent. Still trying to resolve issue and have now given up on replacement just want my money back. went into Bedford store back in December for a dining table. They took £60 delivery charge and was told il get a call in Jan to arrange delivery. Following month they arranged a delivery date for 23/01 which was great. We bought leather electric recliner sofa from Harveys about a year ago. The sofa had lots of problems. We did independent assessment. We were told that the sofa has manufacturing defects which Harveys have admitted to it. So they offered us with 2 options 1. Like to like replacement 2. “Absolute Nightmare”

“Care protection plan”

I am having the same problem with harveys about a tear on the front of my sofa. I took out the 5 year protection plan and wish I hadn't!. They sent a guy from guardsman to check out the fault and immediately said I was not covered for this as it was a manufacturing fault. I rang harveys customer service and have been told that I will need to get an indepedent report at a cost of 48 pounds. I am going to put a comment on their Facebook page, if no joy trading standards.
