So I am strolling along Princes St. with my fiance on a blissful Wintery evening in unarguably one of the most beautiful cities in Britain.
We decide that there would be nothing better to warm us up and enhance our relaxing evening then a beautiful hot drink made lovingly by the hands of one of Starbucks excellent baristas.

The outside appearance of the Edinburgh-Princes St. branch of Starbucks isn't particularly enticing, with it being based on the first floor and having only a small door leading up a set of stairs with minimal advertisement present.

However, the minute you begin ascending these stairs, you are greeted by Starbucks' own divine smell. A mix of; blends of freshly ground coffee, a sweet confectionary smell generated by gorgeous cakes and glistening tray-bakes (and those who insist on overloading their drink with sugar) that cannot be replicated out-with Starbucks and a subtle, though reassuring smell of clean.

Upon entering you will discover that it is actually a very large branch, expanding a length that of a warehouse (or so it seems) and then having further more seating out of view up at the back.

The experience is exactly what I expect from Starbucks:

-The staff (as always) are extremely helpful, skilled and very friendly.

-There is a good proportion of sofa/comfy seats available.

-The tables are cleared very efficiently and quickly, and the toilets are sparkling clean.

-The drinks were made beautifully and I might add, were amazing.

-The music level was just right for audibility without dominating.

-The atmosphere is just right. Relaxing, though functional.

-The customer base is very cosmopolitan; students, tourists, couples, business people.

-The merchandise selection is very good, with most if not all of the starbucks product range, displayed attractively.

-This branch is very lucky in that it has stunning views of the world famous Edinburgh castle!

So we sat, and watched the dramatic red sun silhouette the elegant lit-up castle enjoying our wonderful hot drinks. Granted, some of Starbucks' prices may be rather "up there"...

But you are paying for so much more then just a drink!

I first became addicted to Starbucks on a cold wet drive to Whistler in Canada. I never drank tea or coffee until that point but a strong, hot, black mug of Cafe Estima really perked me up and I've relied on it to kick-start my mornings ever since.

My other Starbucks addiction used to be their lovely mozzarella and pesto panini. It was stuffed with gooey cheese, olives and sundried tomatoes. Then suddenly, about 7 months ago (I could probably name the exact date!) they changed the recipe and ...

I used to be a regular at Starbucks but now find I can get better tasting coffee (without having to add a shot) at Pret A Manger.

I didn't enjoy my visit to Starbucks, and I had a stomach upset. I ended rowing with my companion, but we are now on speaking terms again, and he knows not to take me to Starbucks again.

I can honestly say the taste was vile, the cake was fattening, and not only that, it was double what I paid at Costa Coffee.

Maybe it should be renamed cafe obese, as I felt like it having visited there - we both went for a long walk afterwards because we felt so bloated - not again... Even if I am despe ...

I go to Starbucks often, but my favorite was one in Downtown Liverpool. It had a large restraunt area with sofa's and big chairs. You could get a drink and get free refills on it. I have never seen that at a Starbucks before, I couldn't imagine they would do that. The staff who were pretty young were very respectful of me and I enjoyed that.

I have been to Starbucks all over the world, I love their coffee. I find their sandwiches very expensive, but once again they taste fantastic. I do find that if you pay by card they have to be one of the only shops with the slowest card machines in the world, and I wish that they brought into operation the Starbucks top-up cards like they do in America/Canada. They could do with investing in some new furniture in some of the busy Starbucks on the outskirts of London or buy quality furniture rat ...

I was visiting the Hyatt Grand Champions Spa and Resort this past week, I was very disappointed with the Starbucks located in the Resort. Other than coffee, they did not make any drinks. I love the Mocha Frappichino. I can't beleive that in such a elite location, that they did not make any drinks, only bottled drinks and a cup of coffee. What a disappointment.

The worst experiance was when my son bought me a mint mocha chip and thought he got a chantico booth were watered down versions of the item when I went back an employee was bringing dairy products in because they had been out when we got ours basically they were made with water and tasted terrible They offered to replace them I just took my money back and the young man at the counter made a nasty remark about how I had been unpleasant about it. We use to consider our trips to Starbucks once or t ...
