Good Points: Easily accessible control for carpet pile height. Sufficiently long cord.
Bad Points: Difficult to push/pull along a straight path. The unit tended to wander off to the left, requiring constant torque on handle to keep it on path. The suction on attached hose was weak due to air leaks. Rotating brush keeps moving on floor while using the hose attachment.Excessively noisy.
General comments: I encountered this Dirt Devil MVP at my father's house. After one year it had substantial leaks in the suction system while using the hose attachment. Although noisy, the suction was ineffective. I had to fight the unit to make it follow a straight path. Watching the dirt go round in the collection tank is only mildly entertaining, I prefer a less-noisy unit with a conventional bagging system.

I like that the Dirt Devil MVP Swivel Glide is light weight and it is easy to use. The belts break too easily. I think it a great light weight upright.

Not recommended. Have to go and buy a new vacuum, either Hoover, Dyson or Bissel.

The Dirt Devil MVP Swivel Glide is a very poorly designed product. I will not purchase another dirt devil product.

I have been using these vacuums for janitorial work for several years, primarily in bars. A real work-horse! An upright with all of the convenient features of a canister. As with any vacuum, you must pay attention to what you pick up. (pick up large debris or hard material by hand.) Rarely clogs and easy to clear if it does. Thermal sensor means longer life on the motor.
These Vac's last about 1/3 longer than comparable Hoover or Eureka, lighter and alot easier than Royal, Sanitaire or Ki ...

This Dirt Devil sweeper was just recently purchased by my family. After only about the 3rd time using it, it clogged up. It is very hard to get to the area needed to unclog the sweeper. Once there, I realized that it was clogged by simply sweeping up animal fur.
If you have animals, I would not recommend this sweeper. It cannot handle it.
