I had been a 40-a-day smoker for about 24 years. Several times I tried to quit this horrid habit of mine. I tried going cold turkey, smoking herbal cigarettes, smoking electronic cigarettes and chewing tons of nicotine chewing gums............none of these helped me stay away from cigarettes for more than 10-hours. “Saved my life”

It's now over eight years since this book completely changed my life. I now run and have more energy than I did twenty years ago. I pick up copies of this book from charity shops etc and pass them on to others. Of all the people that I have given a copy of this book to, only one person still smokes, the reason, he hasn't read it yet! Allen Carr was a genius. (read more)

The man is a genius! I truly hope his name goes down in History as the man who helped the world to quit smoking. He removes all fear and physcological dependency on nicotine before you stop, so that when you do...all you are left with is a mild pang for nicotine which you know will pass within a relatively short period of time. What a book! I was very sceptical when I borrowed this book from a mate at work, but it had worked for a couple of the guys so thought I would be worth at least reading. From start to finish I couldn't put it down, so when the book told me to have my last cigarette I was a little taken aback. I had serious doubts about the book. I friend had read it 10 years prior and always said, "Just read the book". I read the same book and completed it 2 days ago. I suppose I had a decent headstart because I was totally ready to quit and have managed to quit very easily in the past but it wasn't like this time. This time I'm 100% certain I will never touch a cigarette again - In my review on my blog I added something which helped me loads. I got the book on the 16th April and quit on the 17th April. I had smoked heavily for over 20 years. I've ready this book three times now, each time in the hope of miraculously not wanting/needing to smoke when I got to the end. And it has never worked for more than a few hours for me.
I never had that "a-hah" moment while I was reading, and although it all made sense, it was never powerful enough for me to quit.

I tried drugs from the NHS and other tricks but nothing worked until I found the Allen Carr dvd, Ill be honest I downloaded it first and I was so impressed that I brought it from a local HMV!

I still can't believe this book actually works, it's now been over a month since I've last smoked. I didn't even want to stop smoking when i started reading the book, it was just out of pure curiosity after reading these reviews. Amazing! I didn't want to quit smoking, like not even a little bit, but I read the book anyway. IT STILL WORKED!!! It's easy, almost too easy. You're doing yourself a disservice if you choose not to read this. If you smoke 2 cigarettes a month, only while drinking, you should still read it, why not right?

Reading Allen Carr's Easyway is without doubt one of the best thing that's ever happened to me. It was recommended to me by a friend who also stopped smoking by reading it. I smoked for 10 years and tried patches, gum, inhilator and cold turkey all with no success. I read Easyway 3 and a half years ago and haven't smoked or wanted to since! Simple! A book that costs £9 but saves you approx £75,000 over a lifetime has got to be value for money! This is quite possibly the best aid to stop smoking and is a worthwhile purchase for any smoker, whether they feel they want to stop at this time or not!

Gotta admit, I was a skeptic. How would reading a book help me kick the habit? And, to boot, I smoked because I WANTED to smoke, because I enjoyed it! I wasn't even sure I wanted to quit, but was feeling pressure from family and friends....
It took me a bit to get used to Carr's writing style, and the first few chapters are sort of a hard read. But quarter of the way through the book, I was hooked. You mean I *DON'T* really enjoy smoking? Wow.

I have just come back off one of the Alan Carr i day seminars and I have to say it hasn't worked for me. I wasn't impressed, the lady skipped by the points and spent more time imitating smokers ways and getting a laugh.By the end I couldn't remember the important points because they were skipped over and the only other person there felt the same. Today I have read the nicotine trick by Neil Casey and feel already I'm loosing interest in cigs. He says it may take a few days. But I am impressed with all he says.

Allen Carr's Easyway To Stop Smoking Clinics provide free of charge back up sessions. It would be great if you could attend one of those.

I was looking for an effective way of quitting smoking, tried nicotine gum, cutting down gradually. and nothing worked, I would get very upset and anxious within several hours without a cigarette. My friend read the book as well and she quit (hasn't smoked for 2 weeks now), so we met to discuss the main points of the book, just in case I missed something. I went to Allen Carrs clinic in Manchester on 2nd September 2012. I cannot believe how good it was. I have not smoked since but more than that I have not wanted one. It was so amazing. I would recommend it to anybody. Well worth the money.
