Firestarter, a book of 566 pages (in the edition I read) tells of a young pigtailed girl called Charlie who is possessed by a terrible gift, a gift that a certain government angency called The Shop is very interested in using as a weapon. Stephen King, Firestarter - The story centres around a young girl and her father trying to escape a government agency who are tracking them for the girl's "superatural" power of being able to create fire.
