Awsum product - no pain, ultra smooth skin, no ingrowing hairs - and did I mention no pain! You really do need to do this 3 times a week to start with and just rest the pad on your leg gently doing little circles whilst going up or down your leg slowly - persevere with this - if you're getting burn marks, you're doing it wrong. If you do it right you'll get a very fine white dusty mark up your leg. I bought my first one of these in a charity shop for a £1 with all the pads still in their... (read more)

Whatever I do, I can't get the Babyliss Simply Smooth to remove a single hair - long or short, fine or thick, all this does is remove the top layer of skin, leaving the hairs intact. Even very fine blonde hairs weren't removed. I felt this was a waste of money. (read more)

Hair Off Facial Wax Strips left a red mark on my face which has not faded after months of waiting. Also, the product did not work at all. I let the company know and when I suggested they warn people of what could happen in the instructions, I was asked whether I needed warnings at rivers that I could drown. Others at company have been kinder, although still not helpful in fixing the problem. (read more)

I bought the Babyliss Simply Smooth 8790U for 20 quid from where I work. I have emailed Babyliss about my disappointment, as my work mates will think I'm a yeti if I have to return it. I have 1 bald patch, despite going through all 4 pads. No white dust as promised!! Have used manual version of this thing and they worked wonderfully apart from the arm ache. Have very fine blonde hair on legs so how could it not work So far all it's done for me is make me waste my money and my time. Would not... (read more)

It removes skin on legs. I ended up with burn marks trying to remove hair, and I found hair still there, but lovely burn mark too.
I hated the Babyliss Simply Smooth 8790U epilator.
I went back to waxing in a salon.

I thought the Babyliss Simply Smooth 8790 was a very easy epilator to use. I can see why... I could do a closer shave with scissors. All it does is leave you with slightly burnt legs and stubble. I definitely wouldn't use it again. (read more)

Not only was the Babyliss Simply Smooth product very painful, but it did not remove any hair off my legs. It just left me with a painful rash. (read more)

I bought the Babyliss Simply Smooth 8790U epilator for my daughters 18th birthday. It was a massive hit. Both my girls are 'hairy' and have been waxing for years. This was brilliant, and painless. I haven't been able to rate service, support, and durability honestly because we have only had it for a month. (read more)

It hasn't given either of my girls any problems. The art is not to press hard or keep going over the same area.
We have had this 2 years now and its still being used regularly with great results.

As soon as I got Babyliss Simply Smooth out of the packet I was trying it out, it's so easy to use. It didn't hurt in the slightest and I never experienced a rash or any discomfort after use. However other than my knees I can't get it to remove hair, only smooth my legs. But I'm sure that just takes practise. I love it. (read more)

katbaird.......are you aware of this 'radio' thingy at:-

'Veet' was the popular hair-remover many years ago.........
There was a young lady from Fleet
Who kept herself tidy and neat
She'd oft have the pleasure
By adopting the measure
Of removing her whiskers with Veet.

I hate this product. It cost £40 and I used it less than once, as I immediately started feeling pain, my skin became red and hurt for hours afterwards. It did not remove all hairs, and left my skin looking bumpy. It can only be used by mains, and it is advised not to use it in the bathroom, where most people would consider removing hair. Give me waxing any day. (read more)

I was just wondering if it leaves your skin burning and in bad condition? Because some peoples reviews say that and that it's really painful and feels like sunburn afterwards.
It's pretty confusing.
And how do you make sure that I do it right?
Has it got clear easy instructions?

Thanks, Gemma
