I am one of those people who got blisters after wearing them for the first few times, but I decided to heal my blister and then break them in by wearing them in warm water. After that, they were absolutely perfect and they still fit like magic. The Nike Mercurial Vapor is a really great shoe to gain some speed and agility, and really it's so light that the ball feels so close to my feet and it's easier for me to do some moves. (read more)

They are the breakthrough since t90s which may i add are the most uncomfortable boot i have ever bought but getting back to the vapors they are soo lightweight and comfortable and i think it is a great idea to remove the insole and replace with a more comfortable thin innersole so in all the boots are great and i would reccomend to anybody (read more)

One thing to note, is that they can fit quite slim. Mine are the MK I models with the fully moulded heels and if you don't have a standard heel, you're going to experience some discomfort initially. Also, if you take out the insoles, you'll find they fit a lot nicer. The insoles are around a quarter on an inch thick in some places so if you need a touch extra room, take them out and get some thin ones from Scholl.

Upon buying a pair of the Nike Mecurial Vapor boots I thought they were brilliant, so light and stylish, but after the first game I played in them, the blade like studs showed signs of wear and tear, they also felt quite uncomfortable and flimsy, the undersole isn't at all flexible and almost snapped on a number of occasions, if your looking for a stylish boot to show off with, then these are perfect, but if you want a good boot that won't let you down, go for either a pair of Total 90's, or... Everyone has their own opinon on certain football boots, everyones feet is different. I would recommend that Strikers and other attacking players play in the Nike Mecurial Vapor. However you have to consider the fact, of firstly the price and secondly you are gonna have to replace them quite a lot. I bought my Nike Mercurial Vapors two weeks ago, and they are brilliant! They fit well, and are super light. They increase my speed amazingly. I am a quick player, but my Vapors help me to bring out my full potential.
I would recommend them to wingers, strikers, and in general quick players. The price tag on them is expensive, but they allow you to move that much quicker.

I bought the Nike Mercurial Vapor football boots in white. They are very very light, and have lasted me for two full seasons. I would highly recommend these boots to strikers and wingers. I have had some small scuffs that unfortunately won't come off, but having said that other boots made out of leather lose their colour, but these keep their colour, even with the scuff.

The Nike Mecurial Vapor boots are amazing, I don't mind paying £140 again for another pair. The boots are good and reliable in every condition, they do not let any water in. I have to say these boots are probably the best I have ever had and I have had Predators, F50s and Total 90s. I highly recommend these boots to attacking players as they will improve your game. The boots are a little uncomfortable at first and may rub but that stops after wearing them 2 or 3 times. (read more)

I owned a pair of Nike Mecurial Vapor a couple of seasons ago and for the first 6 months loved them. They fit quite nicely around your foot and the lightness leads you to believe that you are running barefoot. If the boot starts getting to tight or is loose, it starts to rub. The rubbing leaves large blisters on your feet. This is extremely painful and can make it uncomfortable even to walk. I would never buy these boots full price as they are not worth it. Really expensive for what you get, Nike Mecurial Vapor boots are surprisingly uncomfortable for the price you pay, they improve on your speed, buts whats the point if they blister your feet so bad that it hurts to walk. Also in the wet weather the boots loose all their grip on the top, shots become unaccurate and balls dont have power and slide off the boot easitly. I bought a pair of Nike Vapour FG (Burnt Orange) about 4 months ago, since then they have given me awful blisters on my feet, not just the heels but also on the sole of my feet. They rub constantly which can be very painful. I find myself having to put tape on the areas that rub to stop any friction. The Mecurial Vapor boots are not bad boots just I found them much harder to play in than total 90 or predators because the boots has no shape, just feels like a sock. Playing in socks can sometimes be good (e.g sprinting and tricks) but when you go to kick the ball hard it can sometimes hurt your feet and doesn't go where you want it to whereas it would in the predator's n total 90's. These Nike Mecurial Vapor boots are quality, I have had a new pair since they came out. They are comfortable, light and look amazing on the pitch, compared to Adidas Predators which are big and bulky. I would recommend everyone to at least try these boots out. I agree mate, Nike Mecurial Vapor are great boots. I don't understand all the complaints about blisters and the sort. I have heard one comment I'm worried about though is that they slip in the wet weather but apart from that, Quality boots. Nice review.

The Nike Mercurial Vapor boots have been made famous by the likes of Henry. But unless you can afford to replace them constantly - like the professionals I would stay well clear.
The first criticism is the fact that the boot itself is actually very uncomfortable with most players including myself admitting excessive blisters.
Another problem is that the material of the boot makes it almost impossible to get perfect control in wet conditions, as the ball will literally just spin off the cap...

The Nike Mecurial Vapor is a good boot and popular amongst professional and young players. These boots are suitable for professionals, but are unsuitable for young players. This is because professional footballers, the likes of Henry, get a new pair every match. But as time goes on and semi-professional players like myself are wearing these boots constantly, our feet develop blisters and get extremely soar to play in and these boots are very expensive.
