    Good Points: Has radio function, 5 line LCD display, MP3 capable.

    Bad Points: Bad battery compartment. Batteries must be jammed down in order for the unit to work; extremely difficult to get function back when batteries are removed. Radio only works with supplied earphones which have poor bass ability (earphones are antaenna). Lag time in switching through MP3s and music. No digital bass.

    General comments: The Memorex MPD8600 portable cd player is kind of expensive for it's functions which do not work very well. reception is always bad for radio and the unit takes some time to start up and play music. Not worth paying for unless you can get it for cheap. Battery issue is a serious one.
