    Good Points: Tough construction Good battery life Nice design

    Bad Points: Focus a bit slow

    General comments: The Nikon Coolpix 5700 is a good overall digital camera! I took mine on a trek to Portugal for 3 months, and it never let me down once. It is a very strong little camera!!

    I have owned the Nikon Coolpix 5700 digital camera for about a year. It has quite a decent camera, with SLR-like type. The only thing that I hate is the super grainy effect when using high ISO, for example, 400 or underexposed photo's.

    This Nikon Coolpix 5700 digital camera has good and bad points. The 5700 makes great images in open sunlight, often with flash at 14' or less and at night or where the image noise reduction is engaged, only below 1/30th sec. shutter and ISO of 100 or 200 Max. The lens is very good in bright light but is to slow to use at full zoom in to many situations. With maximum apertures from f 2.8 to f 4.2 at full zoom the shutter speed is forced to low to take telephoto shots without motion blur from cam ...

    Excuse my english, I bought this Nikon Coolpix 5700 digital camera 3 weeks ago and I take around 2000 pictures with it. But today I return this camera to the store and will probably buy the new Canon Rebel. I don't like the Coolpix 5700 because it has a very very slow focus and I loose a lot of picture because what I take is moving!     Mines Nikon Coolpix 5700 has got a "hot" pixel in the centre. Not too much of a problem as I always load the pictures into photoshop before printing but it's still annoying. I do like the camera though.
