Festive break. Really great value for a night and 2 days away, with young children. Waterpark, theme park rides, crazy golf childrens entertainmen disco and breakfast all included. Lots of fun and relaxing. Room was small but had everything needed and was clean. Staff were very polite and gave great service in hotel reception and restaurants. Could have done with more info on website but the break did not dissapoint.

We had originally intended to visit Waterworld in Stoke, (which I have visited some years ago and thoroughly enjoyed) but changed our minds in favour of the Alton Towers waterpark when we read that Waterworld had become overcrowded and run-down.

It looked good but there basically wasn't much to do for either the children (under 5's) or adults. The outside slides did not open until 12.15pm and when they did, they were slow and extremely cold. Although there was no height restriction on the sli ...

went to Cariba Creek Waterpark on the parent toddler offer for £5, and to be honest im glad i didnt pay the full price because its a bit of a let down - theres not really a great deal to do, it seems big but most things to play with are just water pourers, the childrens area is a bit naff - there are only two small slides for them to play on which adults cannot use with their children, the rapids are really slow so u have to practically push yourself round in the donuts, the changing area ...

Great selection of attractions and slides. But limited food & drink. Really well themed waterpark that is exciting for every single member of the family.

It was brilliant. The whole family really enjoyed it. Excellent value for money. It's a lovely day in the Cariba Creek waterpark whatever the weather outside!

Alton Towers, Cariba Creek Waterpark - 2 adults, 2 children 6 + 8, £32.50. Using the £5 off voucher you can print off the Alton Towers website. £12 per person otherwise. Might sound a lot to some people but we were there from 9 am to 6 pm and the kids (and us) were rarely out of the water. We came home exhausted and loved it.

Don't expect Florida type slides and rides, There is only one decent one, Masterblaster, which is well worth the 15 minute wait. There are a few others ...

Alton Towers, Cariba Creek Waterpark - I think the water park is good as it's for all different ages and isn't very expensive. It costs £10 per person and you don't have to stay at the hotel (it may be slightly cheaper for a child). You ring up and book in. You dont have to bring towels as they're free and you stick them in the bucket at the end when they've been used.
It's got 1 younger slide, 2 mini slides which you enter from the indoors but lead outdoors, an adventure playground wit ...
