I never used to be an iTunes fan; in fact, I'd stay far away from it. That was until I got an iPod Touch. You are of course forced to use iTunes, which I think was the reason I disliked it so much from the start. However, I gave it a go, and the more I use it, the more I like it.
I have a huge library of music, and iTunes handles it with ease. The layout is functional, and the navigation is intuitive. Oh, it looks quite cool as well.
You have the option of visiting the iTunes store and downloading tunes to your library, at a good price. You can of course import all your CDs and convert them into MP3, to play on your iPod.
iTunes is free to download, and easy to install and setup. Synchronization between your library and your iPod is straightforward, however iTunes got all confused when I plugged in a 2nd different iPod, I'll be investigating this.
Overall, great piece of software, great functionality, takes a little while to load up depending on how large your music library is, and sometimes gets confused when you switch iPods.
I'd still recommend it.

When I first stared to use iTunes I thought it was brilliant. I still do and as I have an apple iBook its dead easy to donwload tunes and films and they are easily transferable between various Apple bits of kit. The funcationality is simple and the process and layout very easy to follow. The search facility has always worked very well and the size of the library never ceases to amaze me plus I like the Genius and Complete My Album functionality. However, that aside, iTunes is expensive and and I ...- Read speakout's review (150 words)

Being an apple hardware user I kind of felt obliged to use itunes. Even knowing that it was one of the most expensive download sites out there I felt the pull of the brand. At the time I started using it it was definitely the best in terms of functionality and usability. The problem is now the competition has caught up with it and they're cheaper. So Apple...you need to lower your prices if you are to stay in the running. Supplying your MP3 players with itunes is no longer enough, people are ge ...- Read nintendonut's review (98 words)

iTunes has a good layout and is very easy to use. I really like some of the features, like recommending music based on songs in your shopping cart, and 'complete my album' offers where you already have a few tracks from an album and can buy the rest at a reduced price. Although most of the music I've wanted to buy has been available, there are a few exceptions. Also I did not find the help section very useful. However, I followed a link to a web site and managed to find the help I needed.- Read Julie316's review (105 words)

I have used iTunes once for a period of 6 months, downloading 105 tracks. Yes, it is low, but that is all I could afford! A buck a song is insanely overpriced, especially since they are heavily DRM'ed. You can only play it on 5 authorized computers and 5 iPods. Even CDs, which are less money anyway, can be played on unlimited computers and unlimited MP3 players. iTunes songs can only be played on iPods, no other MP3 player, since it is in AAC format and only iPods have the ability to play songs ...- Read murcielago06gt's review (232 words)

I purchased some concert tickets and with them a download of an album for $9.99. I am unable to collect this download and have spent more than an hour trying to get the site to accept a new account. When I apply it won't recognize it or it won't give me the option to use my credits. I am not impressed. I find ITunes either very intrusive or totally unhelpful.- Read Guest's review (69 words)

As far as I am aware you can't get the albums art work and if you do it's wrong, in my opinion they put 90's songs on there and I have to say that my collection has very little 90's songs but half my collection is on this. On www.itunes.com it list my albums with only one or two songs on it and then lists it again.
Overall I personally have to say I'm not happy with their set up at all; and if I can find a way to use another program I will do it in a heart beat! Do not recommend iTunes. ...- Read shevock557's review (121 words)

ITunes software is amazing. It is brilliant as it is FREE! Operates as though the software would cost a lot to buy and i was so impressed by it's functionability and everything!
My favourite thing about ITunes is the album artwork. Itunes allows you to add the CD cover, and then when you browse through your albums it is as though you have all your albums on a rack and you are flicking through them! It is really clever and I think it was really good.
Also I like the fact that Itunes is so e ...- Read jazzyjade1992's review (360 words and 1 comment)

iTunes is a user friendly site, clearly laid out and easy to search. I like the fact that you can get free dowloads each week, which is a good way of discovering new music. Extra information such as band Bios and genre playlists are good ideas. However in my opinion it is too expensive. I have found albums in the shops significantly cheaper than I got it through iTunes!- Read Paluga's review (107 words)

iTunes is rubbish! There is help, but it is not right. I first downloaded some music realising that they were not MP3 files, and it does not allow you to convert them. Also, when you tick the box to then buy MP3 files, it still doesn't come as a MP3 file.- Read rockon92's review (64 words and 1 comment)

When I first got iTunes, it seemed to me that it was going to work well. It's small enough to run on an Intel Pentium 2 MMX (and they are slow) in conjunction with MSN Messenger. I found with the Windows Media Player, that it would often stop my PC, and then I would have to re-load it up, or it would always mess up its plug-ins, and I would wonder why they didn't work.
The sound quality that I received from iTunes was also extremely good (and you can keep improving it by doing an alter in the ...- Read ozzymachoo's review (264 words)

iTunes has come a long way since it's inception several years ago. Apple has been successful in getting scores of lesser-known artists to join their catalog of over 2 million songs. For instance, a year ago you would never have found Goth-Industrial or European Power Metal in the iTMS selection. Now music genres like this and others are rapidly gaining a foothold in Apple's library. What is hoped for now is that they can soon update and expand on the lesser-known's library; when new albums come ...- Read chrisw357's review (424 words and 1 comment)

iTunes site is fantastic and easy to use. No need to got out to the shops to get your fav tracks. Flexible also, can compile your own CD's without having to buy tracks you don't like. The quality of the music is superb if your burn onto CD at max bitrate 370kbps , 48khz stereo. CD's do sound good, in fact they are better as they are not pressed at a factory, and they are as good as the glass masters they use for the pressings.- Read macman's review (125 words and 2 comments)
