it annoys me at most of these reviews are bad. If you go at the right time of year you will experience flamingo land at its best. I have been going to flamingo land for 15 year and love it. People say it is over priced but if you look at it in comparison to other theme parks it isn't actually too bad. Also if you give the staff a chance most of them are really nice and chatty and make jokes with you. Being a Flamingo Land regular I also know that some staff are ignorant, but what can you... Well as well as visiting there numerous times, I also worked there for 4 seasons and trust me, you have no idea how bad the place is until you've worked there. A lot of people can visit there and have a great day, and there are a fair few good rides there, but apart from that, the place is an absolute disgrace!! Went for a weeks camping to Flamingo land for the 1st and last time recently. 1st Staff need a lesson in how to treat paying guest as we are the ones paying their wages. 2nd I wouldn't bother trying to camp at this place its the worst site we have ever been to the pitches flood(no drainage at all)the showers and toilets are terrible seen them getting cleaned just the once in a week terrible. you try and complain and just get told like it or lump it.(yes you can pack up and leave but you will... We have just arrived back from a 6 day break at Flamingoland, and never again. Booking in was a nightmare with no-one seeming to know who was doing what, but at least rhey were polite which is more than can be said of the people on the camping reception when we asked where we were to park we were told to find somewhere !! more easily said than done when half the ground was under water. rides good but the place was dirty, poorly maintained with smelly toilets overflowing bins, water coming in through the window frame in the food area. The cable car ride enclosure had pigeon feathers and encrusted droppings which did not get there overnight and must constitute a real health risk hazard to both staff and customers. Just got back from a weeks holiday at flamingo Land we had a great week brill trailer hired by them only a year old we hired the bedding forgot to bring covers and sheets pillow slips but hired them here . The only problem was the staff serving food no manners Im afraid ..Kids loved the rides and Zoo the camp shop is well stocked and reasonable the Entertainment in the club is outstanding Re Take That fab and.. Good rides, very busy, having to que for rides for at least 2 hours. The staff are very rude. When the ride finshed the staff almost shoved you out of your seat for the next people. None of them have smiles on their faces. It makes everyone feel uncomfortable. Me and my family went to the southern fried chicken cafe. People walked out of the cafe in disgust. We've been many times to flamingo land over the years, when our kids were young we went with all our family (brothers, sisters and kids)and had a brilliant time! Now my kids are older we go with our kids and they're families. We thoroughly enjoy our holidays, there is so much for kids of all ages to do. It's so hard to keep teens occupied but there's no trouble here as there is plenty for them to do. We're going again this year. My grandchildren can't wait, nor can they're dad who's now 27!... We visited with our two boys and had a really good time even though the weather was a bit wet at times. We stayed at Willow grove as did my wifes family our static was good even though 9 years old however A38 Willow grove where my brother in law stayed was in poor condition. My husband and 2 children age 11 and 6 all stayed in this caravan A38 on Willow grove last week for half term, I have to stress to anyone reading the above review that we ourselves had no issues with it AT ALL. The caravan was exceptionally clean to a very high standard,The bedding and mattreses were all fresh and clean, there was nothing at all to fault. The owners were very pleasent and helpfull right down to explaining how to purchase passes etc as we have never been before. We enjoyed ourselves that much we have rebooked for next year in the same van unfortunatly we couldnt get the 2 dates we asked for as they are booked out already, so hence what does that tell you, Great caravan great owners and fab holiday HIGHLY RECCOMENDED A38 willow grove we loved you and cant wait for our return next year xx

Couldn't agree more with this review about Willow Grove A38. We have just returned from our holiday and had a awful time due to the condition of the van. Ill fitting windows, mattress in main room like a cheese grater, freezing cold, 'power shower' as advertised was 2 mixer taps with a shower head, not cleaned for arrival, beds not made up, appliances not working, fire in main room not working correctly. I went away with my husband 5 month old daughter, my parents and my younger sister. When we complained on the 3rd day about the caravan we were told we could leave and receive £400 of our £575 as we had stayed for 2 nights, we declined as we had just paid £213 for tickets for the park - we advised the owners that we would leave on Friday and requested the money back for that night but every time we contacted them with an issue the owners were horrible and very aggressive towards us. We were then kicked out on the Thursday evening with my 5 month old baby and 10 year old sibling because we were unhappy with the accommodation. We hadn't been making too much noise etc they jut wanted our money and us out!!!!! We were able to stay with family in Scarborough for the last 2 days so we could travel back and forth to the park.Since returning home we hadn't heard a thing about our deposit or refund for the last 2 nights. We have contacted the owner and they have said they hadn't been to the van for a year so they don't know the condition but we are not getting any money back or our deposit. He ha now told us we are not getting money back as a board i broken ( it was fine when we left) and there was a empty tin on the bin (we hadn't taken any with us) This has been the worst experience of my life and the owners are lovely until you complain about actual issues i.e windows not closing and freezing to death. They are a horrible aggressive mean couple and i would strongly advise you do NOT rent this caravan.

When i first booked flamingo land i was worried about how clean it would be. But i have to say it was very clean and tidy. It is a fun flled holiday for all ages. We even owned a caravan there for about 3yrs.I would suspect that over the years Flamingo Land has had a fair chunk of my money,and in return we have enjoyed ourselves immensley as a family spanning 3 generations.
What a shame that now in times of recession and a debilitating credit crunch,flamingo land provide no offers/reductions for a day out during the school holidays.It is a great shame that greed has taken over...

Good points - Rides very good (velocity, Kumali and Mumbo Jumbo , small queues, reasonable entrance price.

We attended Flamingo Land today, with our three children aged 12, 7 and 4 years, we found it suited all their ages and ours! The park was busy, but queues were not as bad as we expected. Refreshments were a reasonable price and of a satisfactory standard. However, some of the toilets were disgusting, no toilet roll, and the smell was appalling in one. I loved this place!! As a parent of 2 small children (3 & 5) I was slightly worried that there would not be enough for us to do at Flamgingoland, however I was delighted! It isn't cheap to get in, but we had saved Tesco Clubcard vouchers, so essentially got in for free! It's also free for under 4s which is a great saving! Ignore all the older reviews, the park is a gem nowadays, and has been breathed a new lease of life. There are rides for all ages and all thrill levels, with a new attraction having been built every year since 2004!
Try the new 4D cinema, or dare you ride Kumali? Mumbo Jumbo is a new thrill ride for 2009 which sees a past-verticle drop!
Its a great park which deserves a chance and a visit. You wont be disappointed!

We visited Flamingoland in August last year and the whole experience was spoiled for us by the plagues of wasps following us wherever we went. You could not settle in any picnic area because of them. The food and drink on site was extortionate and there was lots of rubbish bags lying around. The rides were very good for our two grandchildren {aged 3 and 5}. We enjoyed the zoo but unfortunately will not be returning as long as the wasps are left untreated. (read more)

Being brief expected lots more value for money and maybe the odd smiling face amongst the staff, nope not happening. Just got back from a weeks stay kids really enjoyed it as did the adults! Highlight of our week was the bongo warriers i recommend you see them they are excellent and never fail to put a smile on our faces. Down point was prices of food and drinks we took drinks out with us for the day in a cooler bag and snacks couldn't on a night not even juice for the little one as security check bags which was a bit intimidating Other than that excellent week (watch out for the wasps)

Me and my girlfriend went to flamingoland today and we wished we had not bothered. The staff are misrable the place is very dirty and they have a huge problem with wasps. Whilst waiting to enter the park we had wasps bothering us. After paying we went straight to the Mumbo Jumbo ride and we waited around 45 minutes for a two minute ride(we arrived early and whre at the park for 0930hrs and were at the ride for 1000). Flamingo land is a fantastic park with a large collection of brilliant rides. The queue times weren't the best but could have been a lot worse. There are attractions suited for all ages and there is a great selection of refreshment stands and restaurants. The theming of the park is also brilliant and the park is well-kept: in good state-of-repair and no litter. The animals in the zoo had spacious enclousures and are well looked after. After having paid £75 for four people for admission into the Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo We were very annoyed that it was impossible to get on any of the rides. This was due to the fact that rides were continuously given to Q Buster people (an extra charge once you are inside TO "FAST TRACK THE RIDES" Haha). My trip to Flamingo Land in general was fantastic as there is a variety of things to do for all ages. The customer service could have been a bit better though or the shop assistants could have been polite or more friendlier towards us. (read more)

I think flamingo land was amazing especially the fair, I stayed there for a week and never got bored, well apart from looking at the same people everyday. I loved the velocity and the American bar oh and the shop and the chippy. Flamingo land is so fab it is well better than going abroad. I recomend it to anyone. (read more)

I absolutely love flamingo land! I go a few times a year and I never get bored! The worst part is having to leave! I love the rollercoasters especially Kumali and Velocity! I am going tomorrow with my friend and can't wait! (read more)

i agree with this review, I was disgusted at the state of this place when I visited in 2008 (read my review) and I have never been back.
It obviously has not improved.
