Modern software can exceed the disk space limit quite fast. And you don't get a warning before exceeding the bandwidth limit (this should be fixed I think). Still good choice for beginners. (read more)

Responsive and secure servers with excellent customer service and technical support that resolves all problems immediately. As it says on the box they don't use monkeys. I have been using them for nearly 5 years and in comparison to previous hosting companies, well what can I say, there is no comparison. Also CPanel as the control panel is a serious plus. No artificial limits such as number of inboxes or databases imposed, and can host multiple domains on the same hosting plan! I've used 5quidhost.co.uk for one of my own websites and recommended it to several other people/companies. The free hosting is limited in size and bandwidth but allows you to install a content management system (Joomla, Wordpress) plus pages and images for a starter website. If you like it, you can just stay with the free product - or move on to the next stage, buy more capacity and expand. The main advantage is the quality of the technical support. Even when I had a problem with someone hacking my email and using it for spam, 5 Quid Host helped me to sort it all out, even resetting all of me settings to stop it straight away. But then this weekend I wanted to try a new template for a new project and I emailed them expecting an answer on Monday or Tuesday.
