I purchased a 900cc Triumph Trpohy 2 years ago and it was one of the best investments i have ever made, the bike was one of the first to be built in the Hinkley factory back in 91 and she still looks as good today.
She starts every time first time and loves the open road good, fuel economy if you ride sensebly 50 to 54 mpg, easy to maintain and i have to say cheap to own apart from regular services no other major expence has been needed all in all highly recommended

I bought the Trophy 1200 in 1994 with 63 miles on the clock. I have loved every minute of riding it. I regularly used to ride from Portsmouth to Hull and back in a weekend and never really found it uncomfortabale. The power through the range makes it really fun and effortless to ride sensibly or play around a little.

I initially experienced a few electrical problems that seemed to have stayed fixed, one the parts were replaced and its still going strong.

I agree that it is a little top heav ...

Nothing is perfect in this world, but my Triumph Trophy 900 is pretty close. It is very reliable, economical on fuel average 52 MPG on a run and reasonably cheap to service at my local bike shop not a main dealer (in my experience they often fix problems that don't exist). The fairing gives good protection against the wind and rain at 40MPH + but being I am 6' 4',' I clip on a Tourtech screen extension for added protection. On a tour of France last summer, I found the seat a little uncomfortabl ...

I passed my full test in 1977. I have had more bikes than I care to remember. I have done the 'two stroke' thing and the 'in line four' thing. I have even done the 'big off road bike' thing. The last 'thing'was a BMW K100RT. The Trophy is different. This one I am keeping. I love the 'retro' look (mine is the 1992 vintage). Above all I love 'that' engine. No wonder Triumph is using this configuration (triple) to base their entire future on. Go get one. Now.

More bad points than good, but overall a good bike 8/10. Very fast for its size, pulls like a freight train, good looking in British Racing Green, you can play with the suspension settings all day long.

I have owned many bikes in my time but none brings all the best qualities together into one bike like the Triumph Trophy....ok, its not for boy racers but im glad, i hate to see one of these great machines all smashed up, in a few years time these will be classics.

The Triumph Trophy is the best I have owned since I passed my test in 1979. I brought it to replace a BMW K100LT and it's in a different league. It handles better and goes faster but best of all is that glorious engine which pulls like a train all the way through the revs. Gun it mid way through the revs and it howls.
The fairing is brilliant at keeping off the weather but I had severe buffeting until I fitted a Powerbronze tall screen.

The typres lasted 14k and the chain/sprockets are sti ...
