Good Points: Lots of eye candy (paint & chrome). Low center of gravity for manuverabily. Stable at highway speeds. Easy to customize to your taste. Best bang for the buck!

Bad Points: Mid mount pegs..puts the weight on your tailbone..buy Baron's footrest/control extension kit...made a huge difference on mine. Vibration at freeway speeds...though it's not as bad as it breaks in, its still a little buzzy at 65+ mph. Low valve adjustment intervals.

General comments: The Yamaha V Star 1100 Custom is a great bike for the price! I've owned Harleys, Hondas, etc..and I have no regrets buying this bike. It will run with the Big Dogs all day long and look good doing it while being practically bulletlproof the whole time.

This bike was a real steal loaded with tons of extras to increase the performance and look of the machine. He gave me an extra tank and some other goodies and after swapping tanks and a fresh coat of pepper gray paint me and a buddy slapped on at his dads body shop I have a bike that smokes most of the grandpas riding harleys visualy and when it comes to performance. This is ...

I bought the Yamaha V Star 1100 Custom Tourer used with 6000 miles on it. Transferred the Yamaha YES warranty for $25. Bike has a lot of looks and features for the money. Dual front disc, single rear disc, and I love the driveshaft (no maintenance!). Rear tire lasted about 15,000 miles. Gets 42-44 mpg overall, all stock and will keep up with almost anything on the road. The big V-twin has plenty of torque, handles well with two riders. OK on hour trips, next bike will be a Goldwing!
