I have used Bridgestone BT012SS tyres on my 954 they are best tyres for fast twisty rides but all I got from them was just 1800 miles but no regrets they did gave me confidence to open gas as soon as hitting the apex they are point and shoot tyres. They are grippy but wears sooner than expected.

For general road use and occasional track days they're too soft. They'll wear out much quicker than say a BT021 or standard Pirelli Diablo (not the Corsa). If you want to look cool and don't mind the extra cost then go for it, but if you're sensible then stick with Diablo's/021's, they're just as grippy for most users, give much greater mileage and are MUCH better in the wet!

What they are is an ultra hi-performance tire that can be used on either the street or for occasional track days. The first set that I bought I mounted on the CBR1100XX and I credit that tire with a major break through in my riding skill and confidence. I got about 3000 miles out of that first set and replaced them with identical tires. At about that time I also put a set on my ...

I thought the Bridgestone BT012SS motorcycle tyre was pretty good, but it reached the end of it's life far too quickly for my liking. I'd only just run the bike in, taking it fairly easy for the first few hundred miles, and gradualy giving it more and more. So expected more than 1500 miles from the first tyre. I changed to a BT010, and that's giving me better mileage. But the bike doesn't turn in so easy now. Also, the front seems less sure without the 012 as well.
