I ride 100 miles a day, 5 days a week and when averaging 2000 miles a month i find it hard to get tyres that can last and perform at reasonable cost. The D208's i have found to be ideal for my '02 636 ninja, i get around 4k rear, double front of hard riding. i consider myself to be a quick rider in the twisties and straights of the poor surfaced highland roads and these give excellent grip matching the performance of D207 easily. for me these tyres inspire confidence in corners and excellent stability at 170+. sun or rain the grip is never let me down and they scrub in quick. they must me blasted hard starting off to get the heat in though or your tail will slip away from you if going at it hard from junctions. they last well although my only gripe is when nearing end of life at tread marker they suddenly wear in centre quick. stepping wear in the front tyre has never been too bad and not really noticed until the very end of tyre life. i will buy as many sets of these tyres as i can until i find a better alternative, so far i have found nothing that can last as long as these at the level of use they get without paying over the top price. excellent!

Dunlop D208 are good tires cant put a bad word against them but there are better tires out there. got these on my gsxr 600 and they are perfect they complement the bike really well, they grip 2 the road like glue when dry but not as good in the wet

a really good tyre on a warm clean road, but introduce a bit of cold damp weather and maybe some rain and its like riding on plastic. i've had Dunlop D208 on my '04 636 for 6 months and i've spun the back wheel 4 times on a cold start. gonna try them on a trackday soon to see how good they can be when they're really warm.

The Dunlop D208's aren't good on light sports bikes with firm suspension, better for heavier bikes with more weight to help warm up quicker, as seems to take longer to warm up generally than others I've had.

Dunlop D208 is a good all round tyre offering a cheaper replacement than the other manufacturers. I would recommend.

I have had three sets now on various Aprilia RSV,s I have gone for 180 rear section instead of 190 (quicker turn in ). Never had a problem I am a quick road rider who excels in the twisties. I have found these grippy wet or dry. No snob value with these tyres. I did have a pair of Diablo corsas slightly more grippy in dry but not that you would notice unless on a track maybe.

I have a 2004 Yamaha r6, got it in 2004 had only 195 miles so almost new you can say, today the bike has 10200 miles and I'm still riding on the same dunlop tires that came with the bike 4 years ago, Ride safe...

I just swapped from BT56's on my 600 Hornet and I have to say the Sportmax are great. No complaints. Grip in wet and cold or dry, or hard acceleration (my thing) they are solid and dependable. I can't imagine why anyone would have a bad word to say about them. Maybe it's more about them?

I ride reasonable aggressively in the twisties - or try to. Best feeling is powering out of a corner, leant over, knowing that the tyres will not let you down.... I just don't get that from these.
Bought a zx6r with them already on. Before they are warm, they let the back spin out of corners, that's without accessive acceleration.
They are partly worn, but the grip feels like a bridgestone before it's been scrubbed in.
I've never had a pair of dunlop's, and probably never will again.

Changed the Dunlop D208 tyres for Pirelli diablos and didn't look back. pity as they inspire confidence: I think it may be a great tyre but if you want a bit more warning before a full slide then the diablos are much better.

Very very good tyres. great grp in the wet and dry, and great grip into the corners. people will disagree with this but they are better than bt020's i have had 2 sets of these on my 600rr, both lasted approx 2500 miles, the dunlops lasted approx 3700. ...... enough said.

Excellent tyre choice, although I'm used to Diablo Corsas the 208's were already on the rsv mille R I bought and I was quite happy with how the scrubbed up. Sound!

Good all rounder for performance and ride. Harder centre compond for highway and soft side for hard cornering. I like to ride hard around corners and these feel great. Wear can be quick but if you want good grip it is a price you have to pay.

The Dunlop D208 is a good tyre when new it has loads of feel and gives plenty of feedback but my 1200 bandit it eating them 2 sets on the rear under 4000 miles front is dead now can't fault the tyre just the wear and it was easily taken to the edge without much effort which is a bit scary on a bandit time for a change I think - ContiSports.

I had these on my first bike, a 600 Hornet. The front went rectangular and the rear square after about 3K miles. Mind you, this might have been my rubbish riding! A change to a set of Dunlop Qualifiers sorted my bike out. They are a better buy - much more grip in wet or dry, but a bit more money.

Won't buy the Dunlop D208 again. Great sports tyre if you are rich and can afford to change them every 2000km-3000km

Not suitable for course Australian roads and probably better served in Europe on the smooth stuff.

I've used two sets of these Dunlop D208 motorcycle tyres on my cbr600rr and was impressed with the results. The tyres were subjected to some highway work but mainly twisty back roads with lots of aggression. Although they do take a bit longer than some other brands to get to their optimal operating temperature, when they do, the grip is superb. These tyres provide excellent feedback to the rider at all times (even in the wet) and wear quite well (about 5000km for the rear and 10000km for the fro ...
