I bought 2002 Aprillia Mille this year, and no problems at all until one day, got fuel and bike wouldn't start again. "EFI" kept flashing up on speedo, bumped started it, and keep having to bump start it, also, speedo now reads in KMPH not MPH! is it just new battery I need or is something wrong with electrics?

As good as I have found my 2003 Mille, I had to fit High Riser clip-ons that I sourced from FE1 Motorcycle works in New Zealand (rapidartnz.com) to increase the comfort levels for my 44yr old back and neck. What a difference that made! Previously I rode ZZR1100's for 10yrs before my Mille so I was a little used to more comfort. The Mille has bags more torque down low and in midrange than the ZZR ever had. Handles, steers, brakes, goes, looks better too. Different types of machines I know, but he ...

I came from a Ducati 748 to an Aprillia RSV1000 Mille becuase I was looking for something a bit bigger - physically and in terms of power, and the eccentric litre twin seemed like a good bet. Another bonus was the insurance bracket - which is a group lower than most others in the same class.
The power delivery is smooth and very strong. The Mille makes as much torque at 4000 revs as an R1 does at more than double that. The oil sump is designed for constant lubrication - even with the front w ...

These bikes get looks. The sound of the engine in the Aprilia RSV Mille is great. They can hang with anything on a twisty road. A real bargain on the used market.
They really stay planted to the road and inspire confidence. The workmanship in the frame and other details is evident. I think the future is bright for Aprilia. It's truly a rider's dream.

This Aprilia RSV Mille is a great sports bike for the experianced motorcyclist, it will laugh at your attempts to get it round corners. I've owned 6 sports bikes including a 2003 R1 and a 2004 gixxer 1000. If you've got a lot of money to spend I would definately not buy this, I would go for a MV augusta f4. The main reason is that the rsv is so expensive to keep on the road.
