“Most comfortable bike I have ever ridden”

Written on: 06/09/2013 by Julsinsf (1 review written)

I just recently purchased a 2006 from PJ's Triumph of Albuquerque. I was literally sold from the test drive. I have never had such a comfortable ride in my life! I also have a 1998 Triumph Trophy 900 and this America is like a night and day difference as far as comfort and ergonomics. The Trophy cuts the wind much more efficiently, and picks up speed much faster with a higher top out speed. Thats about it. The America has a much better feel on the seat, pegs and grips. The America feels like it… Read Full Review

“My First Motorcycle”

Written on: 24/07/2012 by iramor (1 review written)

Just did a 1,000 2-up road trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with no problems. I purchased the bike new last summer and added saddlebags and a windscreen. I have had no mechanical issues during the first 11,000 miles. It also draws a good deal of attention wherever I go. I like the quiet engine and it seems to handle very well for a cruiser although I have scraped the foot pegs on several occasions. The one thing I don't like are the plastic fenders which look and feel… Read Full Review

Excellent bike; comfortable, smooth and sufficient power to enjoy the ride. Best fuel range 195miles on a tank.

Very disappointed with the alloy components; wheels, headstock corroding under the lacquer.

Truimph fitted alarm does not like being caught out in a rain storm and will cut in/out at a moments notice… Read Full Review

I'm a set up tech at a Honda,Yamaha,American Iron Horse dealer. I personally test ride every bike we sell as well as all trade ins, and the America is my bike of choice.
The build quality is well ahead of anything else on the market, In my experience the handling, comfort and power are as good or better than anything else in its class.Plus my boss just loves that I ride something we don't sell.lol. Genuine Triumph accessories are reasonably priced in comparison to other O.E. parts and their… Read Full Review

The Triumph Bonneville America bike has it all...looks, style, build quality and great handling. As a cruiser it is eyecatching and comfortable plus it looks like it cost twice the actual price so it's great value too. Nuff said… Read Full Review

Written on: 22/01/2009 by BritBiker (1 review written)

All in all the Triumph Bonneville America is the best bike out there between 650 and 1000 CC. Believe me I shopped! I love mine. Handling is a joy and comfort levels are high. Great bike! Bad point is it's too whisper quiet, could use a little more putt putt in the exhaust. I do wish they would have belt driven her to...the crud and constant need for lubrication I could do without. One more gear would be nice on the freeway as well… Read Full Review

Very comfortable on long journeys, the power is delivered smoothly with no flat spots or peaks. Triumph have kept the nostalgic retro look without compromising on performance and reliability. For anyone who likes Brittish Motorcycling but are also drawn to the laid back American cruzer scene this bike is a must have, it not only looks good but with the addition of Triumph slashed silencers it sounds HOT too!… Read Full Review

I agree with this review because...in my own experience every thing he has said is true, but these problems can be corrected with luggage and new pipes!

It is the natural refinement of the Bonneville which was very popular when I was in high school. It brings me back there and then some, but it also has something the old Bonny did not and that is the hybrid American cruiser/British standard look which Is so unique… Read Full Review

It's just a fab bike to ride. A pleasure to ride. Plenty of power for me. After-market pipes and removal of air injection mechanism gives it a helluva street presence. Likes to be laid down through the curves and steering is precise. It's a keeper!… Read Full Review

This Triumph Bonneville America is a real head turner. A pleasure to ride and never misses a beat. My wife and I recently clocked up over 1200 kms, 2 up with luggage and it performed and handled extremely well with no noticeable loss of power. Sounds awesome with aftermarket pipes. “I always wanted a Triumph when I was in high school....”

Written on: 22/08/2006 by Gopher (1 review written)

I always wanted a Triumph when I was in high school. Now they make a modern bike, the Triumph Bonneville America, that captures that classic look but is designed with modern technology (DOHC, etc.). It's just the right thing for a fun day cruise. Heads turn. Triumph got it right in the 60s and 70s. Then they went off in all design directions. Now they have recaptured the glory days with very well-engineered, modern bikes. Great engineering for the money… Read Full Review
