ROAD KING IS KING. USE TO RIDE A SPORTS BIKE. HAD LOTS OF FUN ON MY 750 HONDA. THAT WAS GREAT UNTIL I PUT A ROAD KING BETWEEN MY LEGS. THE FEELING IS LIFE CHANGING. THE FEEL, THE SOUND, THE LOOK, THE WAY PEOPLE LOOK AT YOUR BIKE FIRST THEN YOU THEN SMILE AS THEY GIVE YOU THAT ROAD KING SMILE.
THE ROAD KING IS A MAN'S BIKE FOR ALL SEASONS. OWNING A HARLEY DAVIDSON ROAD KING IS LIKE BEING "BIG MAN" ON CAMPUS, THE ICE CREAM ON THE CAKE, THE HOT FILLING IN AN APPLE PIE, BEING A PRIMETIME PLAYER.

Absolutely guarantees comments wherever you go, probably the best looking bike made. Quite easy to get 50 m.p.g. with a gentle touch, great noise on Screaming Eagles which even little old ladies seem to appreciate. 500 miles in a day quite possible on big comfy seat and plenty of room for bloated pillion / rider combo.
This was my first bike purchased the day after passing my bike test. They said I was mad, but 10,000 miles later I've loved every second. New one on order.

Onto my third with a new one this year. Just getting better all the time. Brakes are a real step up and the clutch is a lot easier with the gearbox a lot smoother this year.
Excellent bike, can tour comfortably, can commute easily. Good all rounder.

Owned my bike for 3 yrs and would not sell for the world, sorry might sell it when she's done 40K but only to replace it with another new one, would have to be a Road King again.

Harleys are simply known for their class and sound. I wish more of the components were truly American made. The comraderie gained when riding "American Iron" is unbelievable and one of Harleys greatest assets. All motorcycles are good in my opinion, there are just some I like better than others.

I passed my motorcycle test in June 2006 and bought a sensible runaround, Yamaha Fazer 600. My first introduction to the Cruiser brigade was an outing with some of my old mates. We visited PM Motorcycles out at Harleston Norfolk. My mate wanted a Fatboy to style in the vein of American Chopper. I was drawn to the owners bike, a long and unpretentious beast of a machine parked at the end of the lot. I caught the moment and the love affair began. Next minute I was at Black Bear Newmarket test driv ...

I also own a fairing on wheels, a 1997 Goldwing with 106,000 miles (U.S.A. measure) on it. The Road King is an excellent motorcycle first, long distance tourer second only to the 'Wing. I define long distance as any ride that is multiple, consecutive days of 500 miles or more each day. Weekend jaunts to California from Las Vegas. we now take the Road King. Cross country to Tennessee I think I will take the Goldwing!

Never having ridden a Harley Davidson before and being kindly invited to my local dealers demo I can now say I am a changed man! I have never giggled so much whilst riding. My previous bike was a ZRX1100 and the 2005 Road King Custom has converted me for good. What a machine, what road presence and what noise!
You could quite easily spend all day in the saddle and not notice. The bike is comfy and can happily plod along in 5th gear all day. The brakes are much better than I was expecting a ...

If you are attracted to the idea of some serious long distance touring and like the idea of hiding behind a screen with some protection from the elements then this Harley Davidson Flhri Road King tourer is the bike for you. Everything is just so but it doesn't fall into the trap so many others do of becoming just another fairing on wheels. This is still a real motorcycle. You can feel that engine lapping up the miles. Not an uncomfortable feeling just an awareness, almost a togetherness. Yo ...
