Horrendous! Never ever ring this company! Was on the phone for an hour, have no idea who I last spoke to?! Very clever tricky people if they're still trading - will cost anyone £69.50 if you don't think quicker than you did when giving them your card details - advise anyone who rung this company to cancel your bank card straight after giving your details over the phone - get in quick though before they've processed the payment. Sinful business their one, do they sleep at night? (read more)

Im not going to give this company any stars !!!
Please don't use this company, the take your £69.50 telling you you've been accepted for a loan, you then get put through to someone else and they offer you a loan with extortionate interest or tell you you haven't been accepted, you then ask for are refund of your £69.50 and you have got more chance of flying. I are asked to write in for your refund and that's after being over an hour on the phone holding on to speak to someone. I believe they...

Don't ever use this company. They charged me £70 to arrange a loan, messed me around big time and I'm still waiting for the refund of the loan fee.
I've tried writing, they ignore the letters, and as for the phone calls - it's cost me an absolute fortune as they constantly put you on hold.

If one word summed up Yes car credit the word would be SUSPECT, from arriving at the showroom and finding no cars with any prices on i then waited approx 7 hours trying to get a price on the car and a deal on the payments, the first quote was £360.00 i said it was to much and the salesman went away to come back with £320.00 etc etc etc, this went on until finally i got the car at £170,00 a month, i paid a deposit cash and then had to call a number and tell them that i had part ex'd as full...

I made a tentative enquiry regarding a loan. After speaking, (struggling) to understand the foreign linguist at the call centre I just said, send the paperwork, then intending to throw it in the bin. The company subsequently sold my details to other financial companies who started credit checks, damaging my credit rating. I phoned the centre back and they proceeded to put me on hold and pass me round the office. Stay well clear of this company, and hopefully they will go into liquidation. (read more)

DO NOT deal with ACF Car Finance, the latest reincarnation of the totally discredited YES/Provident/ Direct Auto Finance group.
Oh, did I mention the cars? Fine if you like fleet Vectra's and Corsa's and Hyundai's and summary other bangers bought at auction (for all you know - and ACF, they're looking for CHEAP, not NICE - thrashed within an inch of imploding), then go ahead.

Myself and my partner bought a Ford Focus estate '51 reg in February 2005. We contacted Yes car Credit within the 7 day (no quibble return policy) return period, as we wanted to return the car and pay no more to it, as we had lots of problems with it. They kept fobbing us off saying they'd get back to us, so in the end we drove to the TEAM VALLEY branch where we picked the car up from, and we just dropped it off. They refused to sign the V5 document at first. And now, over 1 year on, we are... (read more)

With hindsight I should not have bought from Yes Car Credit. Now I'd rather catch the bus!
I bought the extra warranties and insurances which are worthless. My vehicle surely wasn't inspected as I have had to have a new exhaust, brakes and discs put on my vehicle, which is not covered by the warranty. If you get into arrears, they will phone you about 12 times a day right up until 9pm.

Back in feb 2005 we were looking to find a used 4-5 year old car to replace our old one which was doomed to the scrappy. We were interested in a 1999 t-reg renault clio and went into the office, where my father handed in proof of his ID (drivers license). We asked how much the clio was, and they had the nerve to tell us they wouldnt say until we signed to buy it(!). After we understandably declined they refused to hand over his license. When we started warning other potential buyers about... (read more)

We bought a car through Yes CC in 2005 as we were getting married and needed a bigger car for family that were coming here. We originally were looking for a Vauxhall. They were very friendly and took us to the office where they talked over the paper work and explained to us all the details of the agreement. We made sure we understood all the jargon. They didn't press us to take out insurance with them, we just told them we want to switch from our existing insurance onto the new car. When we... (read more)

I sent them a letter to stating I was terminating the agreement. I bought a car from Yes Car Credit in October this year and it is nothing but trouble and the warrenty company does not want to know about it at all. They are now going to take the car back , but I can say I am not bothered with that as the car has not been used for over 2 months and is parked up in the garage. But the bottom line is they sell poor cars and they say they buy all cars on good faith and don't do any HPI checks. I found out that my car had been a Cat C Write off and was not... (read more)

Couldn't agree more. However it is explained by their finance people when buying a car about the GAP insurance. Recently I got a car allowance from work but when I phoned YCC they said that I would have to bring the car in and a cheque for £3500! CRAZY!!! Be cheaper to get the thing written off!
Written on: 12/05/2006
I can't agree more with you. I bought a car from YCC, sent the car back after paying just over £6000 (with £6000 to go) and then they sent me a letter asking for £1222.00 for the GAP, Warranty and PPI, the thing is I gave them a car I PX'ed and they gave me £2100 for it. £600 was a deposit and the other £1500 was to pay for the extra's. Since they asked me for this extra money to pay the oustanding balance it has come to my attention that the £1500 DIDN'T pay off the insurance's. They are con merchants and they pull the wool over your eye's and don't tell the truth on what your money pay's for. I have told them to either give me my £1500 or my car back I PX'ed with them they said NO so I said take me to court!!!!!!!!

I bought a 1.8 Toyota Avensis from the Edinburgh branch of Yes Car Credit, and I would state that although I didn't initially go looking for a Toyota, I am more than happy with it.
I was advised on initial contact with the company that I would be able to put down a deposit of 350 and drive away that day. I requested either a Focus or Vectra as my car choices, but was told that I would not be able to get either of these unless I doubled the deposit. I was offered the Avensis, a Mitsubishi...

I bought a Rover 618 from the Coventry branch of Yes Car Credit for my partner to use on the school run. The sales person talked us into this one by saying "that it was a good reliable car for the money". As we have poor credit, we felt that this was the only option open for use, and reluctantly decided to go ahead.
The only time that this car gave us no trouble was the day we got shot of it. The central locking broke after 2 weeks. The electric windows stopped working after 3 days. ...

I approached yes car credit in the middle of last year as I was desperate to get a car, however I was nervous about approaching the car dealerships for a new car as my credit scoring had in the past been quite low. So in a nutshell I was nervous of being refused and knew that yes car credit wouldn't turn me away.
I filled out the form on the internet and within 24 hours they eagerly contacted me and made an appointment for me to go into one of their stores. However, when the time came...

I went to see the Yes Car Credit Car Supermarket in glasgow, I sat down to find nobody had completed the call they were meant to, something to do with the brokers.
So I was told I could spend £186 a month and showed a selection of cars that come into that price range.
After looking at these body and mechanically unsound cars I was attempting to enquire about the price with no direct answer until eventually the salesman told me it depends.

Something told me that there didn't seem to be something quite right in my dealings with the Yes Car Credit Car Supermarket. Too many probing questions I asked were left unanswered, met with no response or met with jargon that was just meant to confuse or baffle customers.
Get them to tell you exact details, payments, total amount repayable & like I did, get them to tell you the history of the car, i.e. just where did they get it from. One 'advisor' I queried regarding where the cars came...

Hi, I went to the Yes Car Credit car supermarket around 2 years ago and came away with a peugeot 305/6.
The car looked fine on the outside and inside at first glance.
After owning the car for 3-4 weeks, the exhauste fell off when I was coming home from work, the central locking system broke, the front end of the car was not attached to the chassis properly, the footwell on both sides of the car would fill with water when it rained (this was summertime)
etc.

We have had our car from Yes Car credit for 1 year now. We have never had a problem with the car but the only finance deal we could get was £176.16 a month for 4 years.
We have managed to pay this each month and the company were very aware of our adverse credit history. I approached Yes car Credit in Portsmouth for a car. I was approved to pay £185 per month (they never discuss total price) and for this was offered an 8 year old vehicle which I had actually seen bought at a local auction for £950, 3 weeks earlier. i bought a car from yes car credit last april, although i think the interest on their cars are very high, my car has been very reliable and have had no problems with it whatsoever so overall am very pleased. i did however need a new gearbox stabiliser when it recently had a service and enquired to the people who do the warranty but they couldn't help me as it wasn't covered but it turned out to only cost £40 anyway. i dont mind paying that sort of money once a year for repairs when i constantly am using the car!
