General comments: Bank Of Scotland Car Loan Review - I have nothing against car finance as with the world today it certainly makes it easier for the general public to purchase a car of there choice. However, i certainly WOULD NOT advise anybody take out finance with Bos...Upon contacting customer services to settle my loan amount i was sent on a roundabout of experience.. firstly told i had to send a cheque which could take up to 7 days to clear!!! then i eventually went into a Halifax branch ( which is part of bank of Scotland) and set up a CHAPS payment so the funds could be paid straight off my finance agreement and therefore clear the car of hp status ready to sell... AGAIN i came across complications, even tho a chaps payment should clear within 24 hours i was told to call back in a week to see if the payment had cleared... still no news. B
