Good Points: Good equipment,friendly helpful staff, I go most mornings 6.30am no trouble getting on any cardio machines. Gents toilets have just been modernised to a good standard.
Bad Points: Gents changing facilities quite 70s, i.e communal shower area. could do with a few private cubicles.
General comments: Overall good value for money. Compared to other gyms in the Tameside area. Family friendly. Childrens swimming sat AM. Judo lessons for the kids

How awesome is this club! I love the music in the cardio room, very motivating.
My program is easy to follow but i feel like i've worked.
The wet area is my favourite bit. Total relaxation in fab surroundings.
Love it guys!!!

I have been a member at FX Leisure Stalybridge for about 1 and half years and really feel that I have made some really good friends and my over all fitness has improved greatly. I would definitely recommend the club to anyone - you won't be disappointed!

FX Leisure the best value gym with swimming facilities in or around Tameside, hair and beauty salon easily match most of the salons in Manchester with friendlier staff especially the hair salon

Everything you need for a good work out at a reasonable price. What more could you possibly need from a health club. I would certainly recommend FX Leisure in Stalybridge to any one any age.

Joined FX Leisure Stalybridge 12 months ago and was excited about a state of the art facility in the area. Let down as time as gone on. See bad points!!!

I joined FX Leisure Stalybridge about a month after opening, it was a great offer especially compared to Esporta which was my previous gym. At first it was a very good idea to go there but after a while I really began to regret my decision. They have continually enlisted members throughout my time there to the point of over-crowding. If I visit on a Monday or Tuesday there is little chance of getting on the equipment. They claimed to have capped membership but while this sign was displayed ...

I have been a member of FX Leisure in Stalybridge since the gym opened and find it a very friendly motivating atmosphere. The Cardiovascular Room is superb with a small area for those wanting a little privacy. The staff are very friendly and only too pleased to help or just have a chat to make you feel welcome and return time and time again.

FX Leisure Stalybridge: I just wish I lived in Stalybridge! I visited the gym a couple of tims with a friend and its just absolutely brill! friendly staff, gorgeous surroundings, plenty of equiment, massive screens and decent music, not to menion the low cost. If anyone has any complaints just visit Penrith; find the supposedly poshest hotel in town and check out the facilities there!

FX Leisure Stalybridge - I joined the gym when it first opened in May and while I have been impressed with the standard gym equipment and the large cinema display I found that my major gripe was the lack of monitoring on at the gym entrance allowing many potentially unregistered people to enter at their leisure. This lead to a spate of thefts from members' lockers.... The gym still hasn't done anything to address this issue. The spinning class is below average when led by certain instructors.

I joined FX Leisure last week. The offer attracted me - No joining fee, no fitness assessment fee and it is only £33 per month to use the facilities during the day or at night (offer open to the first 100 applicants). I used to go to the Village gym where it was £50 to join, £15 for a fitness assessment and £44 per month.
