Good Points: Little Shedding, low allergenic. Sheds in clumps that are easy to pick off the ground. Very intelligent and loyal. Charming, and Amusing.

Bad Points: Barks frequently (I don't know if that's just MY dog, I would assume not, he barks even when the Ice Machine rumbles)

General comments: Tibetan Terrier dogs are very intelligent, loyal, and charming creatures. My dog can do countless tricks, and seems to understand when I talk to him. These dogs are not REALLY terriers, they are just called that because of their size. They have a wonderful history behind them. The were origanally bred by the Monks in Tibet, as use for clothing (when let, there hair (yes hair, not fur) grows to the ground) and as retrievers for objects the monks dropped while climbing in the mountains. The Dalai Lama would give these dogs as gifts to his visitors, and when Marauders would try to attack a caravan, if they saw a Tibetan Terrier(TT), they would back off, seeing as they had visited the Dalai Lama. They were almost exterminated by the Chinese when they invaded Tibet, but Great Britain came in and rescued the breed.
An interesting fact about them is that they possess an extra joint in there back legs, to assist in jumping.
I would HIGHLY recommend this breed for loyalty, companionship, and a great, low mantainance dog. I have had one for umm, 5 1/2 years now, and he has been a great member of our family.
