    Good Points: Accurate when working

Bad Points: Works for a few minutes, then here home the AIR LEAKS......

General comments: First of all, It's not a CROSMAN 2004. Whomever inserted that at the top of the page here is clueless. Crosman has nothing to do with this gun. It's put out by MARKSMAN who sticks the BEEMAN name on it!

    Marksman 2004/Beeman 2006/Beeman P17
    DO NOT BUY!!!
    Junk! Garbage! Trash!
Now don ' t get me wrong,. I ' m not one of those grumpy old men who thinks that everything is junk. There are still some real airgun values out there such as the Crosman 1377 and 2240. However, the Marksman 2004 also known as the Beeman P17 or the Beeman 2006 is a junk gun that works for about 10 minutes then starts leaking air from various places. How do I know? I tried several of them from several different stores and the end result is always the same>>>JUNK! I really wanted to own one of these that worked properly. The amount of time effort and money I have spent trying to get one that actually worked for more than 10 minutes has been incredibly exhausting. At this point, I have given up!! How dare SR Insutries who owns Marksman and now the Beeman name put the Beeman name on this junk!. Robert Beeman who stared Beeman airguns was a guy that loved airguns and cared about the quality and his customers. Later in life (I suppose to have some finances for his retirement) he sold his trademarked name BEEMAN to SR Industries who owns Marksman airguns. Now that SR Industries owns the Beeman name, they put the Beeman name on junk guns made in CHINA because they figure when people see the Beeman name that it must be a good gun. What they have done is ruin the Beeman reputation that Robert Beeman worked so hard for decades to establish.

In conclusion, Run, don ' t walk away from this gun. SR Industries should hang their head in shame for how much time, effort and money unsuspecting consumers have wasted on this lovely piece of garbage. If nothing else, I hope all of you have learned some valuable history about the Beeman name.

I'm an ex-precision shooter and a mechanic so there's your warning. This is only a $50 air gun. I filled my gas tank last night and it was $37. So there you go. There is a lot of good here for $50. If you are fairly mechanically inclined and have done some shooting before, you could do a lot worse. I went into this knowing what everyone was saying, so I assumed I'd save a ton of money (compared to a Weihrauch/Beeman P3) but I'd have to do a bit of work to fine tune what they didn't do corre ...

I would not recommend this pistol to anyone, unless you enjoy waiting for mail to come with the replacement.

I bought this Crosman 2004 pistol not expecting much. At the time, about 6 months back, I was having a rat problem in my garden. I needed a pistol that could pop these criminals at 10-20' and kill them dead.

I was surprised by the 2004! I mean, having owned many Beeman rifles like the RX1 and RX2 in 177 and 20 cal, the Beeman P1 pistol in 177, RWS modles 52 and 36 in 22 cal. I think I can say with enough experience that this gun gets two thumbs up in all but the loading department, but then ...

As a satisfied owner of the pricey Beeman P3 I had to try the cheaper version Marksman 2004 at $38 from Walmart.
Looks like the exact same gun. My P3 has thousands of rounds thru it and seems smoother and a better trigger, but that may be because it is thoroughly broken in. The 2004 is a bargain...I think.
The one I bought lasted about 200 rounds before the pump stopped compressing air. No problems from Walmart getting a refund or replacement. I chose a replacement. Now at about 300 rounds it ...

The Crosman 2004 is a copy of the Beeman P3. The fit and finish is good, but like most Chinese made guns, it is not as good as the German made gun. But what do you expect for a $45 gun? The trigger is almost as good as the P3. I mounted a scope on it and took it to an indoor range. At 10 meters and at bench rest, my best 5-shot group is about 1 inch. The other two groups I shot are 1.25 and 1.5 inch. I used RWS R10 wadcutter pellets and the H&N wadcutter pellets. I was hoping for a half inch gro ...
