Do not use this company.

I am in the UK - when I selected "publish website - all search engines
displayed wrong info (to do with text files etc - that I have no info on).
This company kept fobbing me off and said they were not prepared to help me as it was an internet search optimisation issue. But when the basic title of my webpage was wrong - (and all search engines were displaying the same wrong info!)- then this tells me it is my webpage and not search engines. The staff at this company kept emailing me back with useless messgages doing everything but solve the problem.

This company is based out in sub-continent. They have a London address - but only a mail forwarding address. 2 months after first registering and paying my money - I do not have an adequate and correct website up.

Very poor and unreliable and access to the c-panel is intermittent - making it virtually unusable. I left them a few months ago and do not regret it.

In ten years of using Bargainhost.co.uk, my experience has been patchy but tolerable for the money, but they're now no cheaper than most providers, and more expensive than many. Lately, accessing through CPanel seems more often unavailable than available. And as previous reviewers have said, pointless and unhelpful replies from the Help Desk. I paid Bargain Host for 6 months hosting. After my site was about 1 and a half month online, Bargain Host suspended it, with no notification and did not ask for my permission. Servers are really slow, huge latency and support takes up to 1 week to reply tickets.

Unfortunately I took out a contract with Bargain Host a few months ago. I have to say that the service is absolutely diabolical. My site goes down usually at least once a day, and when you submit a support ticket you only ever get a standard reply that apologises but does nothing to indicate or rectify the problem. Well i was really happy with bargainhosts for quite a few years. I had a few issues now and then but all sorted very fast. They changed there servers without informing me and the new servers are bad!!!
I have been without email for two weeks. The servers are unresponsive. My websites are slow and half the features that were working on my site have now stopped.

I give up with there support as you get the same answers.

what a shower of rubbish
e mail are on then off and on then off then on then off.
bargain host do not contact you at all before thay do someting and make your account go off line. queries are answered promptly with a completely crap and completely waste of time answer.

With regret, after 9 years of variable service from Bargainhost, I am leaving. Every so often they make server changes, with no forewarning to users, so you get no chance to back up files before the work begins. Every time my sites have gone down I have thought of leaving, but I was scared to do so, and when I just had hobby sites it really didn't matter too much. When bargainhost is up and running its fine, but when there is a problem - its a big problem. I would not recommend it if you have a site that needs complete reliablity. Support is reasonable until something goes wrong, and then you will hear very little. Sites have been down for days this year, with scant communication.

I have a number of sites hosted with Bargain Host. The server hosting two of my sites has now been down for a number of days and accounts have just been reestablished . . without any data and with all email addresses etc deleted! ! ! Very speedy support (except for the responses received in relation to this episode of down time . . . extremely generic and meaningless) Bad points are downtime too frequent. In general, Bargain Host have been pretty good for the last few years, but they have now been down for 4 days, and the meaningless response from the support desk is total hopeless. Good points are reasonable uptime - cpanel functionally rich. When it goes wrong, it seems as if they dont exists - If your data is an any way important and you cannot afford downtime, DO NOT CHOOSE

A server went down three days ago. There seems to be no redundancy, there seems to be a lack of manpower or skills, responses from the company were vague, there is a single point of failure, rubbish.

Price is very competitive. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to explain all fixes.
I have had support issues but if you go through the help desk, responses are very speedy. I have never had to wait more than 1 hour for a response. So can only rate them highly based upon what I have paid.
On the basis of using them no more that three months I would recommend. I am now in the progress of upgrading though to the top package.

Our site has been down now for 9 days with absolutely no explanation. The email to their support bounces, so had to email sales... no answer yet. In my opinion Bargain Host www.bargainhost.co.uk are not worth using so far. Where is the customer support?

There is lots of toys included in even the very basic plan I got from them, I will think of upgrading though cos I want to use the Websitebuilder that is only available their 1.99 a month plan.Their Helpdesk techs are very quick to reply, don't need to contact them much though as video tutorials are included. I like the script auto-installer I got my Blog up and running in a few minutes.

Bargain Host have a 100% uptime guarantee that isn't worth the paper it isn't written on. Our site was down for 47hrs lately with no proper explanation of cause, the compensation for that was 20p!! Queries to support are either not properly answered or they answer that they don't understand the question!! Any changes you wish to be made to your account take lengthy unnecessary delays. If you want a realy bad time with appalling service then you've found the right people!

The Bargain Host websites is always, always down and nobody to do anything about it support requests ignored and nobody ever answers their telephone.

The support is sub-contracted out to India. They host about 1000 domains, but are slowly losing customers according to some of the trending reports I have seen.

Bargain Host sometimes run security scripts, which muck about with the permissions on your phpbb directory, preventing it from running. You then have to log a call.
