    i thought this was a graet hotel i stayed there for 2weeks for the frist week in august.. the staff were very friendly and kind i wud deffo go back there

    This place was a great place to stay everyone was very friendly
    i lost my camera and when i asked at reception thinking it was gone a member of staff had found it and handed it in. Rooms lovely pool lovely food lovely all in all Janelas Do Mar Apartment was a lovely place to stay.

    On the whole it was ok, for a place to stay, it is about a 10 min walk from Montechoro strip and about 20mins walk from the beach so not exactly central.

    We went in April with 2 young children (3 &1yo). Weather bit changeable so great having indoor pool to swim/play in. Luckily we were on 1st floor but there are 8 floor so if high up might not be so god with kids. Staff friendly and helpful. Apartments basic but clean and spacious. Breezy as at top of hill.

    It's nice place if you like a 'peace and quiet by a pool' holiday. The Janelas Do Mar Apartments are very clean and spacious.

    Janelas Do Mar Apartments are lovely and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Although you wouldn't stay there every night the entertainment is good. The restaurant in the apartments could of been better but still it was enjoyable. You are quite near all the main attractions. Overall it was a very enjoyable holiday and I would definitely go back!

    I would go back to the Janelas Do Mar Apartments in Albufeira if there was better entertainment with more music, and also some air conditioning.

    We booked to go to the Janelas Do Mar Apartments 3 weeks before we left, for myself and my boyfriend. Before going, I decided to take a look at some reviews and to be honest, I was dreading it. One review said that block 3 was the noisiest but we stayed in block 3 on the third floor and found it lovely and peaceful.     The apartments were very clean, people very friendly, great bar clean pools.
    Highly recommended, it was the best holiday ever.

    Albufeira was a lovely resort and it is perfect for families and young people, it's a very pleasant place to visit.

    When we arrived and entered the apartment it was very dirty. When the apartment was cleaned the improvement was minimal. All the good comments I have read about the Janelas Do Mar Apartments in Albufeira were incorrect, as I thought it was disastrous.

    Overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday staying at the Janelas Do Mar Apartments in Albufeira. The resort has everything you require whatever holiday you want. Fantastic beaches, plenty of entertainment if you require it, and many quiet bars if you want a more sedate time. There are plenty of places to eat with every type of food including an Australian restaurant which serves crocodile and kangaroo!     Been twice to Albufeira, Janelas Do Mar Apartments. Came in high season the first time and it was fab. Came a second time in early April but was disappointed to find the lovely bar&restaurant closed & reduced bus service to town, but as it was quiet I suppose I can't blame them & maybe they acted no differently from other hotels during quiet time of year. Will definitely return.

    I arrived to find Janelas Do Mar Apartments on top of a very large hill, worrying that there were no bars or restaurants close by, George the rep was at hand night and day to answer any mind-bogging questions which laid on my mind. Later finding the majority of the night-life was around a 20 minute walk to the strip. Finding many bars and restaurants, selling my weekly obsession of a mushroom omlette.     I can say I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Janelas Do Mar as the staff were friendly and helpful especially the bar staff and tried to make everone welcome and have fun. Ok there was a few minor problems with the lifts, etc but nothing that serious. So I would return again.

    HOLIDAY REVIEW.

    Unless you are a heavy sleeper, Janelas Do Mar Apartments is not the right place for you to spend your holiday.

    Our apartment was just feet away from a heavy lift door that gets slammed day and night (like a mini earthquake every time). With 8 apartments on each floor you are bound to be near either the lift door or one of the two staircase doors / fire doors that also get slammed throughout the night by children using the corridors as a playground.     The Janelas Do Mar Apartments were brilliantly located. 10 mins to main strip (the main street, with bars and restaurants and shops).
    To get to the strip. Head out of apartments to the bottom of the road. Going straight across the road. head forward. you will come to a small round about. go straight across, heading towards a small piece of waste ground. there you are on the strip. head right to the rest of the strip and the beach.

    We found the Janelas Do Mar Apartments clean, basic and the staff were very nice, pools were clean, however the night entertainment was disastrous. The locality was awful (The Strip in Montchoro) with English and Irish Bars lining the streets and English breakfast eateries (TERRIBLE) if you like fine dining stay away. Albufeira Old Town has a lovely selection of sea food places on Fisherman's bay and the restaurant Ruina is expensive but worth it. Hire a car to get out of there you won't regr ...
