Good for foxes and rabbits. To good for squirrels. The Skenco Pellets can penetrate just about anything you would expect them to, or ever need them to.

Skenco pellets provide impressive results on raccoon and possum size game. Proper shot placement and rifle power are required, but a 900+ fps rifle provides one shot drops 90% of the time on adult raccoons weighing up to 40 lbs at 5-15m! A friend claims coyote kills with headshots at short range. Accuracy is excellent if you don't go hypersonic. These are not squirrel pellets as they will severely over-penetrate small game. The Skenco Lead-free .177 8.5g pellets are made with steel and have a long plastic skirt. On the plastic container (it's not a tin) it says these pellets are for long range pest control. In my opinion these pellets suck for pest control. I have a Winchester 800x that shoots 800fps. The pellets increase velocity by 20%, which would make the Skenco pellets go 960fps, which is almost 17 foot-pounds, which is good, but if you have a pointy pellet with no mushroom at all, the extra velocity really is ...

Skenco Lead-free pellets deliver high Velocity and harder hitting. It is like a combination of bb's and pellets. Strength with accuracy.

Skenco Lead-free pellets .177 8.5g are made up of a zinc alloy tip and a plastic end. They are accurate and strong, I dented my trap with them in two spots with one pellet, while the trap stops regular lead pellets. They only had a small scratch on the tip and the plastic broke apart. Skenco offers these pellets in three different weights and many different sizes.
