WEll, accident happened. 3 electrical devices damaged at the same time (water). 1hr phone call everyday with questions about such details like "where was the top from the bottle at a time" with summary "I doubt this , i doubt that". then they send You to original shop to talk about repairs, photos of desk on which items were (!!!) etc. Advisors are harsh and unpleasant. “pushy nasty call staff”

Spoke to Brad at the call centre to cancel my policy as the cover doesn't actually cover me correctly (which they failed to check) He firstly didn't listen to what I was saying and asked me again why I was calling (reading a script) which followed in a full blown nasty pushy attack on me as to my reasons not making sense, that I didn't know what I was talking about (I am a qualified insurance advisor, not a non advised seller like him) and he was just a disgustingly rude person who I ended up… Read Full Review

Had a quote for Home insurance renewal for £93 a month - like for like quote with TSB was £31 a month! Lloyds response? 'Oh, it must not be like for like'. Umm, yes it is. Don't bother with them, rip off merchants, there are better deals to be had… Read Full Review

two years ago I was paying £32 pounds home insurance with Lloyds, then it went up to £45.ok I thought.....keep going.However now since august 2014 they have put the payments monthly up to £62!!!. Absolute rip off merchants.I have cancelled forthwith.No wonder they have to put up their premiums.......because they can't retain their existing customers (who haven't claimed!!) - doh!!!!!
I now can get the same cover for £22 a month with another company.............do the maths.

Amazed to see these reviews on here. I personally have found them Great after a recent claim. I returned from a Short Break to find the Lounge Ceiling cracked with Water trickling out all over our Beautiful Leather Corner Sofa, Water everywhere. “Steer well clear, removed wrong party + cant cancel ”

Too many issues to detail, however, initial corres misleading, then removed the wrong party to the policy and wouldn't check past records (data protection security reasons) so they could see they had posted a letter out detailing the correct change. Still trying to resolve now. Policy is due for renewal and wont let me cancel it as its not in my name but should be, their error. They logged a complaint and forgot about it, got no contact since. “Lloyds exploit vulnerable old people”

I was outraged when I saw my elderly Aunt's renewal with Lloyds was £390 after 20+ years without a claim. I easily found an alternative at £100. Then I discovered my old Mum was also with Lloyds and was paying even more at £490!! Alternatives came in at £95!! Worst company. Ever. On-going case, month five. Persevere! Taking to ombudsman as soon as they have dragged out their eight week "response time". Agreed our claim was valid, asked for quotes, got five. They offered less than half that amount. I said no. They said hey ho. I officially complained, they offered me same amount again. DISGUSTING. Just reviewing my mother insurance policy with Lloyd's. Never made a claim and has 35% discount for no claims. They want £606 from a 90 year old woman including no claims discount. After discussing this figure with Lloyd's and cancelling the policy I was asked if they could put me through to their call centre who would offer her a more competitive rate. I took home insurance out with them and they are shocking, when i had to claim took several phonecalls from me just to get them to agree to send someone out even then took the best part of 2 weeks. I can not agree with you more , i am in a 5 year battle with lloyds after they sent bad builders to fix my home , they have wrecked our lives , we live in a home without building regs , and a independent surveyor condemned our house as uninhabitable .

I have had Lloyds TSB home insurance now for two years, in May this year I had reason to make a claim. It took over a week for an assessor to come out to see me, manpower shortage and holiday commitments was the excuse they used. My porch ceiling had collapsed under heavy rain and the rain water was poring in, so I had to authorise emergency repairs to be carried out. “Lloyds home insurance failures and cheating customers...”

Appalling shocked still in business. FSOmletting down the public to allow them to continue with such appalling standards. Conduct authority also failing customers. “HOOD WINKED !”

I took out a policy to incorporate a high value watch. I was never asked to prove its value at the time of taking out the policy but was assured that it was covered in all aspects. So what happens ? Yes I lose it whilst abroad. I make a claim, I have to wait 5 days for anyone to get back to me. 1 hour telephone conversation later my claim is declined??? Sorry to say, but almost all insurers will ask for proof of ownership and/or a recent valuation if you make a claim on something that they regard as a valuable.

“Complete rip off!”

I've just had a renewal request from Lloyds TSB - contents and buildings insurance of £1,284 or £107pcm. This is outrageous. On moneysupermarket.com there are loads at £300 per annum! How can they justify these premiums which are so out of kilter with the market. I need to check back but it seems that my failure to monitor their increases has just served to let them exploit me. “discusting home insurance!”

My neighbours house burnt down in October 2012. He contacted Llyods tsb his insurance company to pay for my damage as my carpets were recked, my front door smashed in etc... They wrote to me and said they would rectify my damage as it was my neighbours fault the fire damaged my property. 5+ months on and no repairs have been done to my house and only the scaffolding has been put up his property. “Online check-ins will void your AXA Travel Insurance...”

Here is the warning so you don't fall into the same trick. We claimed on our AXA Travel Insurance, sold to us by Lloyds TSB after our flight was cancelled due to a security staff strike - meaning people couldn't get through to the gates. ** This is the technicality they have got us on If you use an online check-in process, it won't work as proof you arrived at the airport. Lloyds have been an absolute nightmare to deal with and am disappointed I have had to give them 1 star as they don't deserve that. I made a first contents claim in 11 years and am still awaiting settlement, this has been passed for settlement 3 times but they then continue to put it on hold for any reason they can find. We recently had a leak under our dishwasher which on calling out a repair company confirmed this. we did notice some marks on the flooring prior to this however, thought that somthing had been spilt onto it. their are 7, of us living in the hose and it did not accrue to any of us that it was a leak.
