“Lloyds Bank Home Emergency insurance cover”

One simple piece of advice if you are considering taking out Lloyds Bank Home Emergency Cover- DON`T TOUCH IT. My central heating ceased to work on the 22nd November. I called Lloyds Emergency people who got a heating "engineer" to my house the next day. Simple repair, motorised valve needed replacing but he had to get "authorisation". Further to that, it was fifteen days until my heating was fixed. The electrical bog up had fried the timer as well which meant a new one had to be obtained.
And to add insult to injury, I then I found out that ADM Heating of Newport had charged me £30 for the inhibitor which RETAILS at £9.50 - trade price less I would assume.
CET have offered £75 by way of "compensation" - that won`t even cover the cost of the extra 12 Kw of electricity I had to use every day for 15 days plus the cost of the inhibitor.

“Punished for Loyalty - Lloyds ripoff”

Had a Lloyds buildings policy for 14 years. Went up each year compounding considerably with no notification of this. Checked this years quote and was 320% of highest quote on money supermarket.com and 400% of current market quote from Lloyds themselves!! “Lloyds Robbed an Elderly Couple”

In laws 90+ years old Home Policy for 17 years paying £46 a month. £559 per with 22years no claims. Got it from the AA for £120, complained to Lloyds we offer insurance it was their choice to buy it. No integrity or loyalty from this fine company… Read Full Review

“Home content not worth it after 17 years paying in”

I Bank wth Lloyds and my insurance was with them, I made a claim for a small damage on my Suit ( A broken bit of wood on end of suite ) and after 50 minuets said I am not covers. “How can they charge these prices?”

My 80 year old Mum has just had her buildings and contents insurance renewal £520 for a little 2 bedroom bungalow ! She has been with Lloyds for many years and never made a claim ,always doing a continual renewal. “Disgusting home insurance ”

They were charging my mother over £300 more for home and contents insurance, than a quote with them online, for years. She was not aware that they were charging for £5000 shed cover and for her making a claim within the last three years, which they were aware she had not, as she had been with them for longer than that period. “Renewal price increases going ballistic.”

I have been with Lloyds TSB for household insurance for over 10 years. Just for the building, without any contents cover. I used to get a small, or no annual increase every year. Then in January 2015 the increase was 15%. OK I thought, not unexpected given the state of the economy. This year they have increased the renewal amount by 23%. “I have foolishly stayed with these awful company for...”

I have foolishly stayed with these awful company for the past 14 years. The reason was my ex partner took out the insurance and dealt with everything until he left. I admit to not checking out other comparison sites as I had a lot to deal with. I sadly lost a necklace which they did not pay out on. “Will Never Recommend Lloyds to Anyone”

I live in Southeast Texas. On April 27, we had a terrible hail storm. The storm was recorded on my alarm cameras. It took less than 7 minutes. A local roofing contractor told me that I had extensive hail damage to the roof of my house , shop and gazabo. Within a few days I had called my Insurance Agent and had her file a claim. “Dramatically overpriced ”

Have been a "valued customer" of Lloyds Buildings and Contents insurance for many years and despite this and no claims their annual premium has escalated to over £800 which compared with other companies for identical cover is some £650 over the average. “Wish I had gone elsewhere”

My first time with Lloyds. Took out Buildings and contents insurance in February. Paid by direct debit. All fine until the policies arrived. My address on both the covering letters and policies themselves - London, Norfolk. How on earth can they get such a simple thing wrong? “Extortionate Renewal Cost”

Had one claim 4yrs ago (£800), couldn't fault their customer services and quick payment. HOWEVER, this years renewal has come through at £945, after a phone call to them they've knocked £100 off. Comparethemarket.com gives me quotes from £150 upwards for the same level of cover, Lloyds is even on there quoting me £350. WEll, accident happened. 3 electrical devices damaged at the same time (water). 1hr phone call everyday with questions about such details like "where was the top from the bottle at a time" with summary "I doubt this , i doubt that". then they send You to original shop to talk about repairs, photos of desk on which items were (!!!) etc. Advisors are harsh and unpleasant. Spoke to Brad at the call centre to cancel my policy as the cover doesn't actually cover me correctly (which they failed to check) He firstly didn't listen to what I was saying and asked me again why I was calling (reading a script) which followed in a full blown nasty pushy attack on me as to my reasons not making sense, that I didn't know what I was talking about (I am a qualified insurance advisor, not a non advised seller like him) and he was just a disgustingly rude person who I ended up… Read Full Review

two years ago I was paying £32 pounds home insurance with Lloyds, then it went up to £45.ok I thought.....keep going.However now since august 2014 they have put the payments monthly up to £62!!!. Absolute rip off merchants.I have cancelled forthwith.No wonder they have to put up their premiums.......because they can't retain their existing customers (who haven't claimed!!) - doh!!!!!
I now can get the same cover for £22 a month with another company.............do the maths.

“Steer well clear, removed wrong party + cant cancel ”

Too many issues to detail, however, initial corres misleading, then removed the wrong party to the policy and wouldn't check past records (data protection security reasons) so they could see they had posted a letter out detailing the correct change.
