Good Points: This shows that sci-fi doesn't need fancy-pants special effects to be great. Another plus is that Leia as the damsel in distress gives the guys an excuse for derring-do without being misogynist.
Bad Points: In Episode V, an act of incest occurs (make-out to be precise) and is never denounced, even after the partners find out that they are brother and sister.
General comments: The original Star Wars movies, with its exciting plot and action is a classic for the ages that starts with the duo of C-3PO and R2-D2. They are on a ship that is invaded by Darth Vader. In haste, Leia uses R2-D2 to record a message for Obi-Wan Kenobi. C-3PO and R2-D2 escape the ship and land on Tatooine, where they are sold to Luke Skywalker's Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen. R2-D2's escape leads to Luke's introduction to Obi-Wan Kenobi. When Luke's house is burnt down, it arouses the start of his life as a Jedi and his fight against the evil Galactic Empire.

Star Wars Trilogy (Episodes IV-VI) - A long time ago in a galaxy far far away.........
With those words, George Lucas gave the world the most important film of the `70s, an array of wonderful characters, mind blowing effects in the days before CGI and dialogue that people will be quoting forever. He stepped down directing duties for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, but the final products still have his name all over them. On paper in 1977, the script for Star Wars seemed like a a ...
