Support was so bad it took 2 months for them to realise it was a faulty data card.
Then they passed me to 8 different people before telling me to ring another office on another line for which I'd have to pay (over an hour on the line !)

There is little or no information on the Vodafone web site. The Vodafone Mobile Connect Card is a complicated card to use, and although it is often fast, there is no feedback from the dashboard regarding connection status, so if the connection dies, you don't know. An Email based helpdesk would be ideal for users of this kit, as trying to get help on the phone is not ideal. I am still waiting for support to call me, and the shop staff can not be expected to help. (read more)

The connection with the Vodafone Mobile Connect Card is running between 43K and up (dial up modem speed). so as long as you bear that in mind it works fine. I set this card up on a Friday afternoon after a delay in getting it due to the post. My boss then used it all week 400 miles away without any problems at all. The new Vodafone Mobile Connect Card product is absolutely not giving what it is promissing. The connection with internet is very slow, collecting e-mail from an Exchange Server is a disaster and the service desk knows no more than some FAQs. My first VMCC died already after 2 days, my second after 2 weeks. The first is still in repair after 6 weeks of waiting. Above all, it is not supported in South Africa, Russia and Asia.
