    Good Points: Their interest rate wasn't bad. But that's about as good as it gets.


    General comments: It took me from June of last year til November to get a simple answer from Britannia Building Society Mortgage. Sending letters is the worst thing you can do with these people because either you wont get one back or more monotonous questions are asked. So unhelpful, which makes it worse when they claim to be one of the leading building societies in the country. I will never do business with them again.

    They are unable to provide consistent answers when it comes to the details. For example, this includes confirming identity checks (in writing) one week and then requesting passports to confirm identities a week later! Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I am still waiting for a response to my mortgage application (been over 3 months now) and have gone elsewhere.

    I have a no problem, no complication status and I want a specified product from the Britannia Building Society but customer care though polite, is labyrinthine with different kinds of advisers, appointments and procedures which I'm sure seem ordinary to them but perplexes me. I'm searching for another product already and may find one before they get back to me!

    My wife & I transfered our mortgage to the Britannia Building Society and I was expecting the process to be awash with complications and hassle, refreshingly it wasn't and I would recommend them to anyone.
