    Tried to order TV on website. Website automatically chose a day 2 weeks away despite offering the choice of a day then disregarding my choice (and standard delivery was 2-3 days, but special delivery apparently takes 2 more weeks?!). Order would not complete at the "Thank you" stage - when rang helpline were told to leave it for half an hour then they'd ring me back - they didn't - said I could put the order through again - explained that I wouldn't do that as I'd probably be charged twice. They said there was nothing they could do about it. Rang back later. Was told order had gone through, but nothing they could do about the delivery date - had been randomly assigned and courier couldn't change that (despite the fact this was a couple of hours after the order had been sent, so clearly the telly hadn't actually gone anywhere yet). Said the only thing I could do was to cancel the order, so I did and won't be using them again.

    Customer services at Dixons is shocking. Bought a Microwave oven two months ago and the door release button has broken. Told to telephone the manufacturer, manufacturer told me to phone one of their agents. Agent doesn't do house calls, either bring the item to them and pick it up when ready or phone the manufacturer again to arrange a courier to collect. Must be packed securely in a box and I have to wait in all day for the courier to collect item and wait in again for delivery when it's fix ...

    i ordered a washing machine online and their customer services are terrible.
    they failed the first delivery attempt without even letting me know, and i wasted half a day for just waiting for it.
    i rearranged the delivery which failed again without letting me know.
    i wasted total almost a day for simply waiting for their delivery.

    what they say on the telephone is more annoying. they do not have any idea about what's going on the delivery department and all they can do is send an email to them ...

    Had a bad experience 2 years ago with Dixons, but when I complained it was dealt with at a very high level and I was satisfied with the outcome.
    I wanted a Panasonic Lumix TZ6 camera and originally ordered it from Pixmania, but that was a disaster (see review in that section). I therefore ordered the camera at 11am on a Saturday morning. Using their tracking system, I saw that DHL had left the local depot with it at 6.30am on Tuesday and it arrived at 2pm that day.- Brilliant.

    Was concerned about ordering as some of the reviews were not good, but my experience was that they did everything that was required of them, Well done Dixons I am impressed !!!.

    It took several frustrating phone calls to sort, however in the end the goods were delivered 4 days late. I feel I should have had the option for an immediate refund as the problem with my order was of no fault of my own. If I had received this kind of service in store I would have been able to get my money back straight away, not so with on-line purchases.

    I read endless bad reviews about Dixons but decided to chance it as they were offering the washing machine I wanted at a considerable saving to every other retailer I had looked at. Perhaps I was just lucky or maybe they have pulled their socks up but it all went smoothly and I have no complaints. I certainly would consider using them again in the future.

    I was rather worried because after I placed my order for a Wii at Dixons, I read numerous bad reviews of Dixons online. I thought my worst fears were confirmed when I did not receive the promised email from Dixons confirming despatch of my order for three days.

    On the fourth day, however, the email arrived, and even provided DHL tracking information. My order was delivered in the morning of the next working day. The Wii works fine, and I am one satisfied customer!

    I have bought online from Dixons before without any problems but having ordered a 40" Sony LCD TV from them I became a bit concerned due to some of the reviews that I read on this site, especially when the unit delivered turned out to have a problem and was going to have to be returned for a replacement.
    I needn't have worried and have nothing but praise for the service I received from Dixons.
    My reason for buying from Dixons was primarily price. Their price was simply the best available anywher ...

    The item I bought from www.dixons.co.uk developed a fault within days. The phone helpline (charging) after several press 1,2,3 options went dead on me (technical problem) and the e-mail contact promised action, but delivered no return labels for a month until I was refunded by my credit card.

    We chose to purchase our 32 Samsung LCD television from www.dixons.co.uk due to the attractive price (around £80 cheaper than rival companies), but my husband was very sceptic and sure enough he was proved right!! We paid £9.00 for premium delivery which meant it supposed to arrive on a specific day between 8am and 10.30am.....2 days later, we are still waiting for delivery!     We ordered a Zanussi washer dryer from Dixons and it broke down less than a week. We contacted Dixons who agreed on a replacement but was told I would be contacted within 48 hours to arrange a delivery. I told them it was urgent as we have 3 kids under 5 (1 baby) but they said I could not chase. I am still waiting for them to call and I have no idea when they will deliver.     I ordered a new Washing machine via Dixons online.
    They were by far the cheapest anywhere for the model I wanted.
    Saving me £56 and they were also offering free delivery.
    They also offer a saturday delivery which I picked as I am at work throught the week.
    I called the number given to me on Friday for my allocated 4 hr time slot.
    Was given between 8.45am and 12.15 pm.
    Saturday the driver called me at 9am on his mobile to let me know they would arrive between 10.00 and 10.30pm.

    Having read other reviews of Dixons.co.uk I thought I would share my recent experience.
    I Purchased a Camera lens online late Sunday 13th Jan 08 and it arrived Thursday 17th Jan 08 at 1pm in perfect condition. In addition to a very reasonable delivery service I received regular detailed updates by email including the tracking number and link to couriers website. This showed exactly where it was giving detailed timings. Well done DHL.

    Do not ever buy anything from this company. Maybe, if you are lucky enough to have everything go well from the start, it will be ok. But the instant something goes wrong, forget it. We bought our washing machine from Dixon in August which was delivered faulty - it leaked. Now, in the middle of November, we still have no working washing machine.     Whilst cost and delivery at Dixons are reasonable, be very concerned if a product goes wrong after 28 days, as they have the option to repair. It was almost impossible to contact customer service by phone, and they did not answer e-mails. I would never use this company again.

    I ordered a Panasonic DVDR but got an old phone. I have to assume they have a thief in the warehouse. Having worked in this industry for 25 years I recognise the signs. Having sent 3 emails with no reply and two phone calls they sent me paperwork to return the Panasonic DVDR. More frustration as I again had to tell them I have not received the DVD recorder.     NEVER AGAIN! I received the item broken, it took them 2 weeks to send me a return label and after returning the item back I am still waiting for a refund. It's been further 2 weeks now. Dixons might be cheaper but get ready for your most stressful purchase.

    Buying online is great as well. Never had a problem, prompt delivery as well. Probably one of the cheapest for online electrical goods surprisingly, even if it is a couple of quid more expensive, the fact it is Dixon's sways me to buy from them due to the easy returns policy.
