We opened two cheque accounts and two card accounts with HSBC Wimbledon. We then registered for Internet banking. In all instances service has been great, issues have been attended to promptly and staff are competent.

Account frozen so many times for no valid reason and totally unnecessary, cannot get through to any knowlegable human being for support, HSBC Business Bank Account customer support manager has never contacted me in over 10 years. Web access is good and payments work well - thats as far as it goes.

four months to get approval for opening a HSBC Business Bank Account for our second company - first company doing well and we shouldn't have had any problem. Ridiculous.

I found the HSBC Business Bank Account very easy to use and I haven't paid anything so far for their service. Even though I am a small business, I have a dedicated person at their branch who called me a few times if I was happy with the account.

HSBC Business Bank Account is absolutely terrible .

Firstly the internet banking system is a joke, it is overly complicated with help pages full of irrelevant information.

Secondly as a business owner i have been putting several thousands into my account each month however my company card is limited to 1000 pounds and they will not raise my limit. How any business is expected to run on this i dont know, for example if i wanted to buy a computer for my business costing 1005 pounds i simply can ...

I have banked with HSBC for 5 years. I run my own small business. On Christmas eve last year, they decided to take away my business overdraft with hardly any warning at all. As times were tough, this left me short of money to pay my suppliers, some who are freelancers and needed the money over Christmas for their families. It nearly put me under and I have been struggling since. Then recently they took away my business credit card, just to make things easier. They also charged me the other day w ...

Untill the last 9 months hsbc have been pretty good, however they did a jeckle & hide on us and have been very controlling, dictatorial and extremely inflexible to the point of having a detrimental effect on our business. We are changing banks!

HSBC Business Bank Account is the worst account I have ever had. To complain you are put through to several different departments; they cant deal with the complaints you raise, endlessly put on hold whilst they seek advice; stock answer I dont have authority, I cant explain, I understand your concerns, then "can you put your complaint in writing". I took my business elsewhere. For such a large organisation the level of inefficiency was staggering.

    HSBC.

This is my current experience and why no one should bank with HSBC.

Back in January I opened a 0% credit card with HSBC after holding 2 current accounts and an ISA. Said card had12 months on balance transfers and 3 months 0% on purchases. I used the card to purely perform a balnce transfer. My first bill came in and I paid it through the internet banking from my 2nd current account on the day of reciept of the bill. But HSBC decided to take the same payment again from my first current a ...

I have been with HSBC for about one year now.I have been an HSBC business customer years ago also, around 2002 / 2003, up to 2005.Even if I still did not make a big turnover, the staff has always been friendly with me.Some examples ?I have two cell phones with me, one for the UK and one for the country where I live, and usually they called me on the local one. It' something simple, but may be they try to avoid me paying roaming charges ?Also they have set up for me an account in Euro and one in ...

I joined the bank more than 15 years ago when it was a real bank the Midland 'the listening bank'. All that has sadly gone and the HSBC seems to me to be more interested in itself more that its bankers who make their money for them. I have a business overdraft facility which was within the limits but getting close to the limits whilst waiting for some payment of some invoices. The bank called me 3 times every day for a week and a half. Some guy asking for my personal details before he wou ...

I have been considering leaving HSBC for about a year but have finally put the wheels in motion. They can be difficult to communicate with. I have been waiting for a refund to my business card for over a year. You have one "business manager" in name but ours is often unavailable when we call.

I've personally not seen any flexibility with my HSBC business bank account. I struggle to get in contact with my account manager. Would not recommend any new or growing business to use HSBC.

I have been arguing with HSBC all week as they will not allow me to pay off my Business Mastercard early to enable me to continue using it for the next 2 weeks prior to the clear down date - confused? Me too! Apparently the card does not have the facility to be paid mid way in the month so if we need it for the next 2 weeks - their response - Tough! The customer service is disgraceful, they don't know the meaning of the word service - 4 weeks to get copy statements (their internet banking onl ...

HSBC has got high ratings in the past, they should know customers need to have vital information when it comes to business banking as we need to secure a trusting relationship when it comes to doing business with others and annoyingly our bank is the one that fail us first.

I opened a business account with HSBC some years ago. Not long ago I decided to switch it to an internet-only business account to save on banking fees. Well, that didn't work very well. I had numerous problems getting the account processed. I also asked to add a newly appointed director to the authorised contacts. That took six weeks! Changing my business address also caused various problems which I had to make several trips to a branch to sort out. (It seems addresses are stored in a variety of ...

Being self employed, I can never predict when a customer is going to pay an invoice. This bank does not seem to be able to grasp the concept of working without getting a regular cheque at the end of the month. The money always turns up eventually. Anyway, I dipped into the red a little, again, and without warning, after I swiftly covered the overdraft, the Bank cancelled all my business cards, therefore denying me the use of a Master Card, that is paid off in full every month. This facility mak ...
