I am now 29 years old and have had this gun for around 12 years or so (give or take a couple cuz time flys by.)I have one of the older models without the orange tip. It has proven to be a very versatile gun if properly maintained and cleaned periodically. When I first got it, I went through a GIANT box of pellets in a few short weeks. The gun did start to jam up occasionally so I took it apart and oiled the spring a little and cleaned all the fuzz and other contaminants causing it to... (read more)

I bought the Daisy Powerline Airstrike 240 kit about a year ago when me and my friends just got into airsoft. it was accually my first airsoft pistol. it holds 15 bb's which is standard but good. accurate for the price. Powerful too, my friend found out the hard way. and it is pretty heavy and has a nice feal. Its a great spring pistol for beginners and pros alike. im getting another tommorow accually. i highly recomend this gun. (read more)

Overall it's a great value for the money, just be careful with that clip! Great starter gun. Fires great and mine was actually quite accurate. Only problem is the spring in the clip. I bought this for my son as a first indoor target trainer and it is perfect. At first I thought the accuracy was really poor but after the bundled airstrike ammo was depleted I loaded up the crosman .12's and it was greatly improved, we are now able to hit the target from 30ft every single time and noticed the jamming problem went away.
If I had written this before I noticed the poor bundled ammo problem (and blamed the gun performance) it probably would have been a 5/10 but the difference...

I have this pistol just as a cheap back-up pistol for when I have wars with my friends. It definitely isn't good enough to be used as a primary weapon so don't even try but it is good for plinking and to keep people from charging you when you run out of ammo. It is pretty hard to hit people with because it doesn't have any hop up but when someone knows you are out of ammo and you pull this out they will think twice about charging. The good thing about the kit is that it comes with an indoor... (read more)

I bought this pistol yesterday because of the low price, quality construction and realistic size and weight. I also own a Walther P22 which has hop up and claims 230 fps while this Daisy has no hop up and claims 217fps. I was not expecting too much after reading all the bad reviews and figured i would be content with a realistic feeling model of a Beretta.
I have since fired 500 shots with this pistol and have extensively compared it to my Walther which cost me $5 more and should be a...

You're better off throwing this Daisy Powerline Airstrike 240 kit gun at people instead shooting them. My dad got this gun because he has like a zillion guns and thought airsoft might be fun. Not with the Airstrike 240. Just to give you an idea of this gun I'll share some of my experiences with you:
**Power: I had my friend shoot my leg from about 5 feet away. The (tiny) mark it left looked like a tiny mosquito bite. The BBs bounce off a cereal box at 10 feet.

Daisy Powerline Airstrike 240 kit - I bought this gun as a beginner, and it sucks all in all... Weak, bad accuracy just make a bad game. The balls were landing at peoples feet. The next day I bought a Cybergun Beretta at 307 fps for 12 dollars more and it was worth every penny. I might keep this gun just as a back up, but don't use it as your primary! (read more)

The Daisy Powerline Airstrike 240 kit gun is ok as a beginner gun, but for anyone really into combat and sniping, it's horrible. It has no distance in its shots, with only 213fps, and is easy to break. It can quickload 15 BB's, and looks realistic. But overall, this is a big NO. I recommend paying $5 more and get a Sig SauerP226 , which is a great gun. (read more)

Well, we made a decision to get some airsoft guns for our kids as their friends all started collecting them and having battles. I saw no harm in this so I got them full face masks (knowing they were better for them than just goggles), and me and my oldest (11) looked at guns. We had no knowledge on the subject (which is rare for me not to have done some research), and relied on the salesman to inform us. I've noticed that the daisy never gets jammed and that its almost perfect if you buy the more accurate ammo. However the gun still goes and breaks if you try to shoot it like you stole it and I've noticed that a certain model of it breaks easily. It's a clear-orange style gun, however when I bought another the gun lasted much, much longer than the other.

I have wars all the time and I find it reliable for pot shots and distance shooting - if anything I believe this gun would help you learn to shoot with out aiming because about the only way you actually hit something aiming is if you aim right 1 inch and up 1/2. (results may vary) I still found it more reliable than something like the crossman stinger or the hardball when it comes to firing and better yet it's heavier than those as opposed to how much a real gun would weigh.

If something goes wrong it's interchangeable with another model so say for instance your friend had the same model and your spring blew and his handle was broken you could just buy the piece from them. I also find the daisy good for practicing dismantling and reassembling guns like this. However the down side to it (or at least what I think is a downside) is the bullet capacity. All in all I rate this gun a 7.5.

The Airstrike 240 is a good gun for someone just getting into the sport, but far from a good combat gun. This gun should be used only for target shooting. I have to say, its nice looking with the metal pieces, but has some big flaws, like the slow firing, little accuracy and the wide range of directions the BB's go when shot. I shot this gun once and a BB came out of the barrel and flew straight up in the air, and other times the BB's have dropped five feet in front of me. There is no real... (read more)

The Daisy Powerline Airstrike itself is made of a very strong plastic that will last a long time. I was plinking with this pistol at close range and during the heat of battle, I had no trouble pulling slide to engage another bb to fire at my opponent. Which means the maker of this gun is smart by making an good decision for sacrificing some velocity(213) for an easy cocking momment.however, the bb doesn't hit the same place everytime and i could'nt always hit my enemy. I bought this Daisy Powerline Airstrike 240 kit gun at my local Wal Mart for a church airsoft "war". I was happy with the price of ~$18.
When i first started using it it worked quite well, but as time drew on the hammer kept getting caught. It ended up jamming every once in a while too.
I was also very pleased with the included target, although I wish it could have somehow been bigger, because with accuracy of the gun, it was often hard to hit from any far distance.

When I first got the Daisy Powerline Airstrike I loved it because it is the replica of my favourite gun, the 92FS. Also it is one of the rare guns without an orange tip(at least mine didn't).
I loved the target because ammo can be expensive.
Also the gun was good quality and accuracy, and power mixed into the perfect gun!
The safety is in the wrong spot because it's not based on the hammer hitting the bullet.
I noticed that the trigger was rough and that the slide was very enclosed so...

The Daisy Powerline Airstrike 240 kit is great for the money. I hear some places even sell it for around 16 bucks. My retailer sells it for 23, and that's still not too bad. The kit includes one spring airsoft gun, an airsoft target/trap, and 50/50 plastic/aluminum BB's.

To: Wimp6363,
Your friends clips are falling out because your friends lost the little spring that sits in the groove of the clip release, when they tore the gun apart. I did the same thing. But I found mine. Tell your friends to get a spring from a pen an cut it about 3/8 long and replace it with that.
