“Busses don't even turn up. ”

Fed up of using Arriva busses and trains. Half the time the bus doesn't even turn up. Sick of being late to work, sick of the miserable drivers, sick of them not having change first thing in the morning. Sick of them stopping the bus for 5 minutes in random places to read the paper or check their mobile. I'm paying over £130 a month to a company that can't keep its promises. “rip off and miserable drivers”

I live in southport. The drivers look at you like youre an alien if you hand in a £5 note when buying a ticket. Its 2014. Why do they never have any change? I think if i handed in a £20 note to buy a ticket theyd pass out. Rip off fares. Its not exactly luxury on an arriva bus. Bus drivers miserable. “Rude drivers, late buses, poor service.”

I've had to use Arriva South East buses ever since I started going to secondary school (about 5 years ago), and to say the least, it's been awful. The buses are old, loud, often break down, poorly maintained and not clean. The heaters are left on in the summer and the leg room on some buses is simply dreadful. Floors are untidy, seats are dusty and the windows are often very grubby. “Arriva, just unfriendly”

Arriva bus drivers tend to be really unfreindly in Luton. There are two out of I don't know how many which are kind and helpful. But, I know how they feel they only get payed around £400 a week for all that hard work with night and day shifts. The admin staff since 2010 have just made Tthe company worse. “Misleading, Misconduct, Mistake!”

Where I live there are not many alternatives than to travel by Arriva Bus or Trains, but on top of the many late buses, early buses that don't wait, reckless driving and some bus drivers that seem to have a permanent chip on their shoulder, they can't even get their information straight. “possibly the worse bus company in Britain”

It got one star because there is not the facility to put none. Firstly we purchased a local weekly saver costing £18 only to be refused travel because the driver had issued the wrong ticket incurring extra costs for bus travel which we can not afford. Upon complaining all we were offered was the price of the ticket refunded without any consideration for the stress and worry about the extra costs incurred. “Unreliable and expensive”

The Arriva service in Stevenage is hopeless - 1 in 3 mornings my bus just doesn't turn up, leaving me late for work. With restricted mobility, walking isn't an option. The drivers are often surly and sometimes even aggressive and abusive. The helpline has a standard script to follow "no problems reported on the service" and will not deviate from that message no matter how many complaints about non-existent buses they receive. Woking area services I don't know why they keep running a miserable apology for a bus 'service' You would think after being bought out by German railways things would improve but instead they are getting worse. literally one of the worst companies I have ever comne across. Buses are never on time and for them to keep increasing prices is unbelievable. their customer services are terrible also, I have been late for important things (interviews, meetings etc) due to their incompetence nd the customer services were no help whatsoever and didn't even apologise. some times the buses don't even turn up. “Simply and Always Utterly Unreliable”

Buses are always late and frequently don't show up. I use Arriva 'the Shires' in Watford for the last leg of my commute. Frequent cancellations or no-shows means I almost always arrive late for work. My only real alternative is to arrive 40 minutes early. And frequent delays and cancellations on my return journey means I regularly miss train connections, adding 45 minutes to my journey. “Warning! Arriva bus Watford to Leavesden Business Park”

Leavesden business park is increasingly difficult to get to. If you're thinking of working at Leavesden, think twice! Arriva has reduced services. Three years ago a direct bus no. 80 was in operation and took 12minutes. Today, a sparse service with only 2 buses per hour operates during peak, and takes 25 minutes. “Diabolical Service With No Exception ”

15 minute frequency no bus for an hour and a half (what traffic is there at 9-10 at night?) Busy services have tiny buses and not abnormal for a couple of buses in a row to drive past as they are full. “Utter Rubbish”

This has to be the worst bus company going. I get the 263 service everyday and every time the bus is late no matter what. The drivers are rude and just snatch your money out of your hand. Today 22nd Jan 2014 the 263 bus was filling up with smoke with everyone choking on the bus it continued to travel. “Worst Company Ever ”

Arriva Bus Travel Pros: Cons: -Incredibly expensive -Limited routes -Rude staff -Out of date equipment despite over charging (look at how much more expensive Arriva is compared to the rest of Europe, and then compare the services, it's pathetic. -Rarely turn up on time (if at all) -Oh they also like to drive straight past you, which is nice. Milton Keynes bus service. Just terrible. Used to live in the countryside in Norfolk, to be fair i was in a village in the middle of nowhere so comparison difficult but at least the buses were on time and actually turned up. The price to get from any suburb in Mk to the centre would get me 5 miles to nearest town in Norfolk.
