“Disgusting service”

I have to get four buses a day to and from work which wouldn't be a problem if the buses actually turned up on time or at all, For the second time in two days today the bus decided to not turn up meaning that I was waiting a total of 52 minutes for one to finally come, when I asked the next driver why the bus hadn't come he shrugged his shoulders not even offering an apology. “Terrible service no communication ”

Last night stood at ashington bus stop for one and a half hours waiting for a bus! 6 busses went in the other direction but not one driver felt the need to even open a window and let us know that an accident was causing the delay! When I contacted the arriva helpline the call handler was rude, uninterested and unhelpful. In general the drivers are very rude, if I did not have to use the service I would not!!… Read Full Review

“Poor Service”

Very Poor service. Most of the bus drivers are rude and never come on time. Always on average 5-10, 20-30 minuets late. The prices are also expensive too. Student Bucks Plus are too expensive and should lower the price… Read Full Review

Today Id just came from the cinema in broughton and managed to get to the bus stop as the bus came. I quickly dove in my bag to retrieve my ticket but couldn't see it so I got on to prevent having to wait for another bus and let him know I'm just looking. Other busses i have been on have continued to drive if anyone needed to get something ready, but this bus driver waited still. I wil no longer be using any of the services arriva has to offer after my journey today. The Anybus pass I buy with my system one travel card was apparently not the right bus pass? However after embarrassing me & and being rather rude he then refused to offer any other solution to let me get home, after me explaing him the next bus dosent come for 40 minutes & the bus was already 10 minutes late. “Consistently Inconsistent”

Arriva. Consistently late. What else can I say? Never on time. Get to the the bus stop atleast 5 minutes early and it's always late. Atleast by 10 minutes and sometimes by 20. Get to the bus stop a minute or two before it's due and I find that it's been gone for around 3 to 5 minutes. Why? What makes it hard for the 229 bus to be so bad! I can understand 5 minute delays. “Bus drivers attitude to other road users”

I was trying to turn right in Chaul end lane today in Luton . The roads were busy and I was waiting for sometime to turn.i saw a gap in traffic and began to turn out not sure if the bus would let me go ! But he didn't he pulled up in front of me so that I couldn't turn right or go forward . He blocked me ! The driver is at the wheel of a 16 year old Ex- London DAF DB250 with shonky brakes, he has probably managed to hit 50 despite a 3 speed gearbox and knackered engine and you want to pull out and wreck his flow? Shame on you :)

“Grumpy bus drivers and awful service”

Arriva seriously needs to update on their services because it is appalling. The drivers are constantly grumpy and rude, the buses are never on time EVER! The only time they are on time is when the bus driver feels like coming early or they just don't show up at all. I have to take the X70 bus every day at 5:45pm and the bus driver is usually 10-20 minutes late, one bus driver even has the nerve to smoke his e cigarette after everyone gets on the bus and by the time he has finished the bus… Read Full Review

I bought return ticket for route no 300 and I just cant explain how bad the service was. First of all bus was really dirty and dont have stop announcements second of all while coming back driver didnt even stop at the designated bus stop even though bus was empty and to make it worst next bus was cancelled. if arriva has any respect for customers then they should payback my money… Read Full Review

I can honestly say this service is AWFUL. Arriva should be helping people who are dependent on public transport rather than NEVER being on time or in my case driving straight past when someone is waiting at the bus stop with an almost empty bus! Sunday 10th January at approx 1.00pm. Driver on bus 306 told my friend today that the 306 did not go to Tynemouth at weekends, only during the week and he would need to get the 308. As we have just moved to Tynemouth we had been told that the 306 was the only bus going down the coast road to go to Tynemouth. I then went to pick my friend up in the car and as we pulled into our street, the exact 306 bus was stopped at our bus stop. The driver had a beard. “Service Cuts Coalville”

I wouldn't call Arriva a bus service as all they are interested in is profit not passengers. They have split the village of Thringstone in half...one side of the village now have to walk up to half a mile to catch a bus so a lot of the older people who used to rely on the bus for shopping now have to catch a Taxi which they can ill afford. The service from Knottingley to Wakefield is appalling, when having to get the bus to work on a morning I found that they were often an hour late and sometimes simply didn't turn up at all, even when I went out a whole hour earlier than I needed to. The 29 route drivers really need some customer service training. Drivers have appalling attitudes. Rude, arrogant, superior and totally unprofessional. They regularly miss out stops if there too many buses in front. They bark orders at passengers as if they are cattle. One even shouted at an elderly lady for being too slow because he wanted to get away from the stop! They behave as if their customers are a nuisance. “Rubbish - don't care ”

Rubbish service. Either very early or really late. Sees you Wanting to get on bus and just leaves - this has happened many times to me. Not very friendly. Once the driver missed my bus stop before when I had pressed the button as they 'didn't realise' it was a stop. Have to arrive really early at bus stop as sometimes the bus comes much earlier than it says. I cannot wait to stop getting these rubbish buses, awful and I'm paying £6.60 a day!!!!
