“Awful Company”

I have two children age 11 and 14 that use the bus service every morning for school. The drivers are unfriendly and sometimes even rude. My problem is that they insist on charging my 14 year old an adult fare to get to school. All I am ever told when I call customer services is that it's 'company policy' - well that doesn't make it right! I think it's disgusting that they are allowed to get away with it. Since when is 14 an adult??? And why should we as parents pay so much when school children… Read Full Review

“Awful service”

Line between Stevenage and Luton is absolutely awful. This week bus in Luton did not show up at 6 at all, no explanation either. Majority of drivers, if arrive too earlt on the bus stop, goes for a smoke and does not let passengers inside. I understand buses can not always be in time but it's really annoying having to pay quite a lot for a ticket and get such a poor service… Read Full Review

Why oh why is the arriva bus company so big? When they obviously dont adopt an sort of customer service policy or if they do it is not enforced. The website is positivly unusable unless your willing to download and to be frank if i cant trust a bus to arive or leave on time why would i want/need a download! “Bus drivers rude and refuse to stop”

The bus drivers in Stevenage are rude and refuse to stop at stops if they can't be bothered. The SB7 which only runs once every 20 minutes refused to stop at the Train Station today (16th October @ 18:05) and the driver just shrugged his shoulders as he drove by, The driver of the 55 then refused to help and even refused to give his name when I asked for it because he as that rude. Not quite sure what they get paid for. Never show up on time or if at all. Always seems to be the same time most days wouldn't surprise me if it's one particular driver copping off to do something else been sat now for 30 mins and no buses yet there ment to be every 15 mins. here we go again!!! I have complaint about this service before to arriva complaints service and the issue has not been resolved at all.I am late to work again despite paying 55 pound for 4 weekly tickets.I was waiting for the bus In Hamilton Leicester from 08.03 today , the bus was due at 08.17 according to the schedule.It came at 08.36 which is unacceptably late for anyone who needs to be at work for 09.00 am. “monthly tickets.”

Total rip off. You cant use them on the other buses like HTL only on theirs. They stop running after 7, before that most of the time buses are LATE... my longer wait was 45min!(wasted from my life). Ignoring peple who working on late shifts. Their customer service takes ages to get any respond, plus if you want to refund, you have to write cover letter to explain why you want it. PLUS GBP10 for admin fee, which is even bigger joke, because you paying person to type few letters in to system… Read Full Review

58 & 58a service gives me problems every day I made mistake of downloading app it don't load drivers get moody give attitude get refused entry on the bus my tall 4yr old gets picked on n stared at as u dnt pay until 5 gets asked her age her bday n gets very upset. Written letters to ceo complained to head office they r not interested. Drivers on the 50 service and 104 r helpful friendly n polite unlike these who have been made to work with a gun at their head. “Timetables totally out of sync”

So I'm about to start a job in London, which means a daily train ride into Marylebone from Aylesbury station (about 10 mins down the road) and am looking for the best way to get to the station each morning. Obvious solution - arriva bus. Until I looked at the timetable. “Busses don't even turn up. ”

Fed up of using Arriva busses and trains. Half the time the bus doesn't even turn up. Sick of being late to work, sick of the miserable drivers, sick of them not having change first thing in the morning. Sick of them stopping the bus for 5 minutes in random places to read the paper or check their mobile. I'm paying over £130 a month to a company that can't keep its promises. You are spot on really I was looking online to try and find a place where I could Complain but it looks like you have tried and it doesn't help..
I have looked online and wanted to speak to Mark Yexley at least to let him know in case he doesn't know it which I doubt that His Services are appalling and the drivers are worse ..I have been on different busses and even Blue Bird Manchester with Crack Head drivers has better manners and will tell you if I bus is not coming anymore. What has Arriva done to this drivers?? Are they paid €5.00 hour or have they got Alien Probes under the sit??? Please come to merseyside area near Speke and be a secret customer you out of touch Managers of arriva because if it goes like this your company will lose lots of customers. .Your drivers are Rude. Dirty. Unhappy. .when you are frustrated by their colleagues or a bus not showing up and you ask the next driver who was waiting 20 mints with 3/4 busses next to him all reading the papers and you ask something they don't even feel anything. . We depend on you and you on us we are paying your bills so show some respect and allow us to pay your damn BILLS by being on time and provide better services and more busses. And educated your drivers by coaching them in Customer Service ..

I live in southport. The drivers look at you like youre an alien if you hand in a £5 note when buying a ticket. Its 2014. Why do they never have any change? I think if i handed in a £20 note to buy a ticket theyd pass out. Rip off fares. Its not exactly luxury on an arriva bus. Bus drivers miserable. “Rude drivers, late buses, poor service.”

I've had to use Arriva South East buses ever since I started going to secondary school (about 5 years ago), and to say the least, it's been awful. The buses are old, loud, often break down, poorly maintained and not clean. The heaters are left on in the summer and the leg room on some buses is simply dreadful. Arriva bus drivers tend to be really unfreindly in Luton. There are two out of I don't know how many which are kind and helpful. “Misleading, Misconduct, Mistake!”

“possibly the worse bus company in Britain”

It got one star because there is not the facility to put none. Firstly we purchased a local weekly saver costing £18 only to be refused travel because the driver had issued the wrong ticket incurring extra costs for bus travel which we can not afford. “Unreliable and expensive”

The Arriva service in Stevenage is hopeless - 1 in 3 mornings my bus just doesn't turn up, leaving me late for work. With restricted mobility, walking isn't an option. The drivers are often surly and sometimes even aggressive and abusive.
