Good Points: Mostly regular and on time.
General comments: The company itself need to realise that many people use the public transport to go to and from work, and a bus running, stupidly late or not turning up at all, affects their jobs.
For the second time in the four weeks I've been catching the bus, the 55 from Telford Town Centre to Wellington has NOT turned up (one at 18.30 and one at 18.50), which has made me late for my duties with Cadets. This comment was made on the second evening that the bus did not arrive (29th September, 2008).

There are FAR TOO MANY occasions when the buses do not turn up. This just creates havoc for myself, my family and, judging by the queue at the bus stop this morning, lots of others too.

Overall, Arriva is poor. Unlucky for me, it's the only bus service where I live so I have to make do with their rude service and late buses.

If bus company's want us to leave our cars at home and use their buses, the least they can do is clean them. It looks like these buses have not been washed this year, ugh!! It costs nothing to be clean

In general the Arriva service in Darlington is quite disappointing buses are late, often dirtyI wish there was another service in my area so I could choose not to use the Arriva service but there isn't any other choice.

Good points, nothing. Bad points, late, rude drivers, damp seats, buses clearly not clean. Disgrace overall - sort it out yeah - we need cheaper fairs, polite drivers (more).

Unreliable especially the morning service. I have recently changed jobs and no longer have a car parking space so decided to try the bus for the 2 mile journey to work. This started on Monday and have so far only be able to catch the bus to work once as it has been over 8 minutes late, I have had to give up and take the car, this is totally unacceptable to me and a huge disappointment as I am trying to do my bit for the environment and use public transport which is totally unreliable.

Its about time something was done about the timetables for Arriva Bus Service. Waiting 30 mins or more is not very good for disabled people, older people, or people who suffer back and knee problems. This is the only bus company we have and they never run to timetable, even go as far as missing buses out.

Good point, Bus No 360/362 from Rushenden to Sheerness when they run the timing is good. Bad points every week 1 or 2 free OAP buses cancelled. No buses to the hospital for AM appointments. No connection time table for Sittingbourne or MaidstoneBuses are cancelled on Rushenden route and go to Leysdowne for Holiday makers. Rushenden to Tesco/Hospital do not require heavy double deckers eg 4/6MPG single deck 12/16 MPG would be more cost wise.

Do they actually train these drivers at all. I have a mobility problem and it takes me a little longer to get off the bus. Drivers do not check that I am safely off the bus and I have had doors closed on me several times. Drivers should check that people have got off the bus safely and are clear of the bus, before they close the doors and take off

I am new to using the bus service so I have asked other passengers whether buses do not stop and they say it certainly has happened to them (other than when the bus is full). I have a friend who has recently started as a bus driver for Arriva in Woking and he says it does happen.
No one seems to have ever seen a company inspector so perhaps lack of supervision is the problem.

I was driving up the A4 duel carriageway in Slough to Slough training estate, and one off this wonderful bus drivers (ARRIVA) just pulled out in front of me, he was in the inside lane and with out any sign he pulled out as I was about half way up the side of him, this cause me to brake and just miss hitting me, then he gives me the finger and yells abuse at me. I really think this is inappropriate behaviour for any person, a simple sorry would have done, does (ARRIVA) give there drivers any trai ...

The Arriva service that runs from Tunbridge Wells to Tonbridge are the routes I use. I also see the other buses.
They don't run on time, they are dirty, the drivers (not all as I have not met all of them) rarely wear a uniform, have a bad attitude and when you are at a stop you put your hand out in plenty of time for them to stop and they drive straight past, this has happened to me and my family 20 times this year already. i think the arriva bus service has went down hill, you somtimes wait ages for a bus to arrive or its either not in service so you have to wait longer for the next bus, they should have double deckers on a morning as it gets crowded and you barely have time to get off the bus as there is too many people in your way and the bus driver cant see you walking the get off, people end u falling as they are standing up and hitting you my mistake.

When the buses do arrive they do take a good route but do always get overcrowded and late, they could do something about the out of service thing as it is VERY annoying and i have a sister who has to get the arriva for school, she is meant to finish at 3.30 and usually home for 4pm, but because of the lateness and unreliability of the services she ends up coming home about 4.30 or near enough 5.

Only 1 bus an hour and they cannot keep that going. Bus just didn't arrive on 2 separate days. Over 1hr 10mins between buses as well meant either a very long wait or walk it. I walked, took 1hr. Sent complaint email to company via their website. Still no reply and its been almost 2 weeks. I am now putting my complaint in writing to Arriva and copying it to my local MP & the Transport Minister. I will be finding alternative transport as I cannot trust Arriva to provide a service that they hav ...
