MZ Moskito

My MZ Moskito 125R is by far the best scooter I have ever owned (out of 3).
I have also had 3 big bikes, but the fun I get from this scooter is immense. Great reliability, but poor plastic quality. The Florida heat and sun make them brittle after couple years and parts start braking due to vibrations. Spark plug is a little bit diificult to reach, but it lasts long. Maintenance is identical to Vino 125 (same manual can be used) and I have put over 20K km (12K miles) for the last 3 years on... (read more)

Decent power, acceleration, fuel mileage. Very difficult to change the spark plug. Also, mine, with about 3,600 miles on it had the bad habit of bogging down during long rides. Florida heat combined with 30 minute + trips caused it to act like it was seizing up, then it would keep running after throttling down. Never diagnosed. (read more)

The MZ Moskito is by far the most superior scooter I have ever owned (I have had 3). I am a big guy, and I get around just fine with my MZ. I have taken it on several rather lengthy rides, to no detriment. I have ridden my Moskito for over 30,000km in the past two years, worn out 1 set of tyres, and two horns. Passersby seem to like the styling, and 2 more people I know have now bought the MZ Moskito, and speak highly of theirs as well. (read more)
