i bought a sachs xtc 125cc 4 stroke 5 weeks ago and it was love at first sight. loved the look and sound of the bike right away.but 5 weeks later and the engine has blown and i cant get a replacement engine anywhere it has big spark plug problems. basically im warning people to stay clear of these bikes they look great but if anything goes wrong and believe me it will you will be left with egg on your face as there is no where to buy the parts required. please listen if you dont wanna be out of… Read Full Review

I brought a bike in april 2011. Once again as most people say it was love at first sight. I then crashed it on the first day i brought it due to an impossible ride.

It has taken me over 3 months to buy the parts required with still no luck on finding a screen. You can only buy the parts from sachs breakers as the parts are rare ( Sachs have stopped making and shipping them to the uk!!)

You would be better of buying a bike based in the uk if you are an unexperienced rider due to if you crash and want something replaced there is a VERY SMALL chance you will get the part you want!!

Great learner legal bike, holds its own in looks and has a few notches up on the style indicator even when compared with some of the larger 600cc models out there.

I had a modified scorpion end can on my exhaust system and the growl it gave was very impressive.

Shame they took these bikes out of production i would have loved to have seen the next few generations of this bike… Read Full Review

Written on: 22/03/2010 by Marvin Hagler (1 review written)

I have had my Sachs XTC 125 for one year, and bought it with just 500 miles on the clock and have now done 8500km and the bike has never missed a beat. I have ridden the bike in the wet and not had 'wet spark plug' or 'water in fuel tank' problems which other owners have had. Some bikes that are for sale appear to be messed around with - so watch out when you go to buy one.

Minor points:
- Consumes lots of oil - so check regularly.
- Cold starts are sometimes difficult, but never a… Read Full Review

update 2 years and 2 months down the line still got the sachs xtc 125 and done over 32000km on her and had no plobs with her at all. just changed front pads for the first time ton the 3rd rear ones and had a new chain and sprockets done as worn. still love her starts first time all the time and have had 140km/h on the moterway (well in the red) verry cheap to run 550km to a tank (20l) and i dont drive slow lol
there seems to be a few unlucky ones out there but all in all i know this is a good… Read Full Review

Written on: 24/03/2009 by davo187 (1 review written)

i bought my sachs xtc racing brand new at the end of 04, since that time its had to have 2 replacement fuel tanks as faulty ones were fitted ( causing petrol leaks ) so its now on its 3rd tank, bearings went in the front and back wheels and that was not through general wear and tear, the bike has only just done 28000 kilometres ( 4 years later ) and is serviced on a regular basis. also the engine diaphram had to be replaced in early 2008 as i was getting hardly any power from the bike( mainly… Read Full Review

Brill bike brilliant bike to have lot of street cred, looks good in the college car park, but watch the plug to the spark plug, if it gets wet your knackered and it won ' t run till it ' s completely dry, and I mean really bone DRY also, as there is a lack of a rear hugger, if a wet road seems to aid the problem, my idea is, try and make one or fit a non standard hugger… Read Full Review

I just got a Sachs XTC 125 Racing and like it had 2 Honda NSR RR 125 before and like this better it does not sound like a hair dryer or smoke. Yes its a bit slower than my Honda NSR RR 125 but it pulls up hills better and sounds like a real bike. I have had 125kmph about 80mph today was not trying as still running it in only had it 4 days. The stopping power is far better than a Honda NSR RR 125 or the Honda NSR 80 and the TZR 50. It's very good on the petrol. As well I filled it up when I got… Read Full Review
