I saw people are having problems with there spark plug getting wet, try craft urself a cover for it i've already started on working on 1 made from a peice of copper [cus it wont rust] and it will just work as an umbrella for the plug

update 2 years and 2 months down the line still got the sachs xtc 125 and done over 32000km on her and had no plobs with her at all. just changed front pads for the first time ton the 3rd rear ones and had a new chain and sprockets done as worn. still love her starts first time all the time and have had 140km/h on the moterway (well in the red) verry cheap to run 550km to a tank (20l) and i dont drive slow lolthere seems to be a few unlucky ones out there but all in all i know this is a good bik ...- Read jockphones's review (127 words)

i bought my sachs xtc racing brand new at the end of 04, since that time its had to have 2 replacement fuel tanks as faulty ones were fitted ( causing petrol leaks ) so its now on its 3rd tank, bearings went in the front and back wheels and that was not through general wear and tear, the bike has only just done 28000 kilometres ( 4 years later ) and is serviced on a regular basis. also the engine diaphram had to be replaced in early 2008 as i was getting hardly any power from the bike( mainly to ...- Read davo187's review (135 words)

I love the look of the Sachs XTC Racing and as its rare people stop and look wondering if it is really a 125. Pulls well although not like a 2 stroke, it makes up for it in its economy and sound.- Read Guest's review (58 words)

glad I passed my test and got a real bike. Does anyone know how to sort the battery problem on the Sachs XTC 125 because I sold the bike to a friend Ive run a multi metre over and it all checks out fine.- Read Guest's review (69 words)

Brill bike brilliant bike to have lot of street cred, looks good in the college car park, but watch the plug to the spark plug, if it gets wet your knackered and it won ' t run till it ' s completely dry, and I mean really bone DRY also, as there is a lack of a rear hugger, if a wet road seems to aid the problem, my idea is, try and make one or fit a non standard hugger.- Read ryan131313's review (101 words)

The Sachs 125 xct is a great looking bike but why not make it compete with the Aprilia rs 125?
The thing that I like about this bike is it looks great and handles well and its also very tall because I am 6.3ft and I don't look out of place.- Read Guest's review (66 words)

I bought this bike new 3 years ago and for the money I think the bike should have been more reliable. Sourcing replacement parts is a nightmare and the battery has to replaced at least once a year.- Read Guest's review (74 words)

The xtc125 is brilliant. It rides like a dream. although the petrol overflow is concerning... not sure if it is just mine, or a factory fault.- Read Guest's review (37 words)

I just got a Sachs XTC 125 Racing and like it had 2 Honda NSR RR 125 before and like this better it does not sound like a hair dryer or smoke. Yes its a bit slower than my Honda NSR RR 125 but it pulls up hills better and sounds like a real bike. I have had 125kmph about 80mph today was not trying as still running it in only had it 4 days. The stopping power is far better than a Honda NSR RR 125 or the Honda NSR 80 and the TZR 50. It's very good on the petrol. As well I filled it up when I got i ...- Read jockphones's review (223 words)

If you want a bike to tinker with then get a Sachs XTC 125 Racing. If reliability is important to you then get a Japanese bike.- Read jogs's review (55 words)

The Sachs XTC 125 Racing is a stunning looking bike that is ideal for a 17 year old on their first bike - a real head turner. I do think the bike has a few design faults (i.e. why hide the oil? What a pain to get to) and it's a slow 125 (yes I know its a 4 stroke).- Read MADMACC69's review (136 words and 1 comment)

The Sachs XTC 125 Racing bike sticks to the road like a racing 1000. Great value for money since I got it for £500, had it valued at £1850. It's great on petrol. Really good bike and really good value for money! I would recommend anyone to buy it.- Read MORGAN328i's review (45 words)

I totally love the Sachs XTC 125 racing bike. I've taken it apart many times only problem I've had was the butterfly valve sticking. But that was due to the dealer's dodgy mechanics. As it's German it doesn't fall to bits unlike the Caviga Mito or RS 125. If you want a 996 look alike then get the Mito..(be prepared to spend a load of cash getting it fixed every week though). But again a totally brill bike that hasn't failed me yet, in any weather it's amazing.- Read ciaran147's review (149 words)

The Sachs XTC issuch a good looking bike, I've had mine for two years and when it's dry it's a realy good bike, but when it rains it stops due to water running down the plug lead. I've seen on other reviews that people can get 88 mph out of this bike I can't on mine I think they're talking rubbish. Mine will only do 80 mph and that's puting it into the red and the bikes screaming its head off (not recommended). All in all it looks good and if your doing dry miles and it's your first bike its o ...- Read paddysachs's review (147 words)

Overall I would not swop my Sachs XTC for any other bike. The 125 large stroke air cooled and oil cooled Suzuki engine goes. Ok you won't beat an Aprila, but you will fly past one as it's being pushed due to the rings snapping. It corners like a sports bike should and stops better than my mate's CBR1100. The looks have set a standard that I should imagine other 125 machines will follow, especialy with the under seat exhaust that is usually on new bigger bikes. It slows me down to 75 going up hil ...- Read briannicole0's review (201 words)

Overall im glad I bought this Sachs XTC 125 Racing model of 125 as it does turn heads and looks bigger than it is. I have done a lot of miles on it and its still running ok although I have had may problems when in the rain as it seems to cut out. The mechanics could not solve this problem.- Read gem101blue's review (84 words)
