This shampoo was given to me by my cousin half full as she complained it gave her dandruff and it was causing visible amount of hair fall for her, so I'd thought why not give it a try, might be alright for me as I had thick hair and I normally switch shampoos all the time with no problem... BIG MISTAKE! By the second time I used this, I noticed my scalp itch constantly, and then I start to notice hair everywhere I put my head on! So yep, definitely won't recommend unless you're looking into loosing hair.

I used to love loreal products especially shampoo and conditioner but now I realised that I am having bad bad hair fall because of this shampoo. It does make my hair shinier and soft but all my house is full of hair, never had this happened to me, I had healthy hair and no hair fall. Seems like will be changing shampoo and bin loreal. I am sure people might not realise it when they start to use it but after a while, you will see.

Reading the negative reviews of this product, I'm a bit gobsmacked - not the experience I've had. I have very frizzy hair, made worse this year due to an 'accident' with a shop bought dye when I was trying to cover my greying roots. The texture of my hair is currently candy floss. Thus, I have been buying shampoo after shampoo - lots of expensive ones at that - trying different things which I don't have to pile conditioner on top of just to wash out of my frazzled mess. And those shampoos which are creamy enough to rinse out without leaving a scrunch of wire wool tend to leave a heavy silicon residue which just leaves my hair hanging. Standing in the queue at the checkout I noticed a great offer for Elvive and remembered using my mum's pink bottle of Elvive - don't know what hair that type is and remembering it had done a good job on my hair. So I bought the pink bottle and thought I'd try the frizzy one as well. Absolutely brilliant - for the first time in a hundred years, I felt I didn't even have to put conditioner in (though I did). It means I can yet again wear my hair curly and I don't look like one of Macbeth's witches. LOreal Elvive Smooth-Intense Shampoo for Dry/Frizz is a Five Star product - I really don't understand the low rating. I rarely write reviews, but I felt I had to let all blonde, colour-damaged frizzies out there how good I think this product is.

been using the entire treatment for 2 weeks now and my wavy annoying hair is almost perfect after a shower my hair is almost pin straight and really easy to style but you have to make sure you use the mask and leave it in for a few minutes. i love my hair now and the product is so cheap compared to chemical straightening which damages my hair and the results are not even as good

Cheap, smells nice, it is the best shampoo and conditioner i've ever used and i've spent $50 on a single product before, i used them all! This product really does wonders for my hair. However, I don't really like the masque that much.

Loreal Elvive smooth-intense shampoo, it does not seem to be a very promising product as expected.. My hair root is losing its strength and I have been suffering from hair fall ever since I started using this shampoo. Do not get carried away by those words on the label of the bottle.

Use the shampoo alone and try a different variety of conditioner. The effect is still smoothing but not knotty.

Recently I decided to try Elvive Smoothe Intense Shampoo & Conditioner range and I could not believe how my hair became particularly knotted afterwards, I thought after the first time I must not have brushed through my hair well enough so I tried it several times and I had the same knotting after every use.
I have also spoken to other people I know who have used the Elvive range before and they have the same opinion as me that their hair becomes extremely knotted after using these products.
I am always willing to try new hair products that come onto the market, but have never come across Salon products or high street hair products that have this effect.

I think Tesco Value shampoo gives better results than L'Oreal Elvive Smooth. I expected a lot for my money but still woke up with frizzy ends and greasy looking hair on top. What a mess..I am totally disappointed!

Loreal Elvive Smooth-Intense Shampoo for Dry/Frizz - I tried this shampoo, having been tempted by the words "Nourish, calms, smooths, sleek" from the bottle.
After I dried my hair, it felt heavy, greasy.
In time I have noticed that it helps building up dandruff.
So I stopped using it.
