The island was unbelievable. There were ample places to eat and loads of variety, even for the fussiest eaters. The infinity pool at the Rangli Island Hilton Hotel in the Maldives was divine. The underwater restaurant was breathtaking, and the sheer number of staff meant that we were waited on hand and foot.
It was VERY expensive once we got there. We only booked bed and breakfast so that we could visit each of the restaurants each night. Although, if you book half or full board, there is...

We have been to the Hilton Rangali three times so far and are looking forward to returning again this year to see what the new beach villas and underwater restaurant are like. We have stayed in the old style beach villa and twice in the water villas - which we prefer (until we see the new beach villas I expect).
Scuba diving with Mantas is generally best between January and March.
Abiding memory is going into the restaurant for the evening meal and sighing - wondering how I was going to...

Wow! Just got back from a 10 day second honeymoon on the Rangali Island Hilton Hotel (not one island but two). We were fortunate enough to have chosen one of the new lavish deluxe beach villas as our accommodation on bed & breakfast plan, and safe to say we were not disappointed. Once inside we had a spacious main room housing a giant bed, sofa,... (read more)

From landing by sea plane to seeing mum and baby dolphin 50 yards from the shore its just fantatic, a very close second to Soneva Fushi. No problems from the Tsunami although it was very much in our minds. (read more)

How expensive/cheap was it? The prices I have seen per night are pretty high.

To follow up previous comment - I would also like a comparison on cost. Other Maldive islands are much cheaper and are pretty good. Hope Rangali is worth the extra they seem to want to charge.

Just returned from our latest trip to Rangali and the superior Beach Villas are absolutely wonderful!! Can't say any more because it may spoil the holiday BUT only go B & B to enjoy the best value for money. I would then upgrade all my marks to 10 through 'the card'. Can't wait to get back there next year, hopefully for 10 days if not a fortnight! Go there for any special occassion!
