Never self tanned before (always paid a spray tan) but no appointments and I Was going to a wedding - DIY job Required. I follow a exfoliation routine anyway so did as normal before applying the tan spending extra time and attention and then also moisturising usual problem skin areas such as knees and elbows sprayed the fine mist from a distance Workin from feet upwards in long sweeping motions, then gotten husband to do middle of my back, back of neck and my face Har to know where... I am new to fake tanning, so gave this a go on the basis that previous Garnier products I have used have been great. This however was not. I put one coat on, followed by another ten minutes later (as I wanted a nice rich colour). I was ridiculously sticky for about ten hours and the smell was god awful. I showered about 10pm having put it on at 1pm simply to get rid of the smell as best as I could, I am now a streaky mess. It ran everywhere, and I am left with a smelly patchy orange body.... This spray tan is brilliant and gives a lovely golden glow. You have to follow the instructions and spray at least 40cm away, my friend made the mistake of spraying to close and ended up with loads of streaks. One other tip put something to bottom of your feet if you stand in the mist that's hit the floor your feet will go a really dark browny orange colour which is not a good look! I like the smell and it goes after 20 mins. This product takes about 3-4 hours to develop so I tend to... (read more)

I bought this tan as I'm going on holiday soon and can't tan my legs to save my life! I was told about this tan by a friend I usually uses San tropay moouse ones, but fancied a change. I went out and bought this I was just planing on doing my legs but I decided to arms as well. I spray as instructed 40cm away, and was like oh I'm used to other looking tan a little bit more tan instantly. So I let it dry and develop for 3 hours and didn't really notice a whole lot of different, a little but... (read more)

I applied the mousse version of this product after my morning shower, so it had all day to absorb and dry, and result was OK. BUT - went to bed, and next morning my bed linen was badly stained. (Thank goodness I didn't wear my best cream trousers during the day). It toook a couple of washes to get the stains out. Contacted Garnier and got a patronising reply saying the can said 'to avoid fabric'. So, we are expected to walk around naked and sleep on floorboards ! They have totally ignored... (read more)

Tried this for the first time, followed the instructions exact as on the bottle with my partner so we didnt mess it up.
spraying on is easy but as a mist doesnt exactly give you confidence that it is covering all of you
Results were mixed, although sprayed same distance all over, the results mainly appear in overnight and they were streaky at best but in other areas seemed basic tan
I think ill stick with the moisturising lotion, at least you know where your putting it and can spread much...

This is my first time using any self tanning product ever. I naturally do not tan at all and remain milky white most summer.
I bought this as it was on offer at around 7-8 pounds, I cant remember exactly.
I think the reason why so many people are getting streaks here is because they arent reading the instructions which states hold the can 30 CENTIMETRES away from skin and spray in circles. I know this because when doing the back of one of my legs i accidentally got too close, so i have a...

Right, seriously, do not buy this!! I never usually wear fake tan becasue i have quite olivey skin anyway but I decided to try some for our engagement party last September. I had bought a shortish dress to wear and had quite pasty legs so was recommended this spray by a friend. I only wanted to use it on my legs so a few days before I though i would try it out to see if it worked. I followed the instructions exactly and went to bed hoping for an even tan. How wrong I was!! Awful awful product! I bought this because I couldn't afford my normal spray tan this month. I applied it twice within 48hrs and it made absolutely no difference to my legs or torso - they are as pale as they were before. This alone I wouldn't mind - you win some, you lose some! But unfortunately the horrific side effects to my pale legs were orange feet and one big, fat streak down the back of one of my legs neither of which will budge regardless of how much I scrub!! I would blame the... (read more)

Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer - I used this for the first time at the weekend for a pre holiday glow...and thought it was fab! I was careful to exfoliate all over first which I think is key...as is washing off the soles of your feet afterwards..sort of common sense really! I did not need to rub it in, it dried within a couple of minutes and I just put my dressing gown on and relaxed for 30 mins to ensure it did not rub off...not much happened that I could tell after the first spray but... Ive read a few reveiws on here saying this is awful, and 'lies lies lies' but tbh I think it really does depend on how you use it and the space you do it in. I've NEVER had a problem with it going to dark, unless ive put it on dry skin, and ive never seen it 'shimmery', ok so its not dry but it dries quickly! overall this is the best/cheapest spray tan i think is available, st tropez is a very good one but less practical application and higher price leads me back to garnier.

Very easy to apply and it doesn't come off on your clothes or bedsheets and I definitely had no streaks! I did miss a part on my arm but it was very easy to respray the area to give an even tan. Ambre Solaire Light Glow No Streaks Bronzer. Where do I start! With the name of the product which lies lies on all counts. No streaks: codswallap. Light natural tan: codswallap. Dry body mist: codswallap. My legs were feeling a little left out of some sun, and we had planned a day out on the beach. They should have never changed from the original. The original make of Ambre Solair was much better than the new formula. The only thing better about the new one is its fragrance. I love no streaks bronzer and after reading other peoples reviews some think its great some think its not!! My only advice I could give is to exfoilate in the shower with a body shop body scrub, dry your arms and moisturise leave the moisturiser to dry and then apply the no streaks bronzer an don't spray in lines. Me and my cousins have been testing it out and have found if you hold the spray down and continue to go up and down the area it comes out a lot better. Hope this helps !! (read more)

The odour is okay and not too biscuity, it doesn't leave a mess behind. Unfortunately the instructions on the can are what let this product down. It just says to spray on at a distance of 30cm, which I did. I have waited nearly 2 hours and have yet to see a...

I have used this product very successfully for a few years now, and reading some of these negative reviews, it is clear that disappointed users have not followed the instructions, which state apply from 30 cm using circular motion. It works very well if applied according to instructions. I am pale skinned and do not tan at all, so use this product all year around. In the summer I use it more often, but also in the winter I use it as I don't like my natural paleness.
