General comments: I came back from a break in Dubai where I borrowed a friends sun tan cream. It was Piz Buin allergy as I sometime suffer with mild prickly heat. A few days later I broke out in a terrible rash on my neck, face, lower arm, hands and legs. I went to the doctor who said I must have a reaction to the sun! I have since applied the same lotion twice in the last 2 months and exactly the same thing happened. I rang the product help line and was infomred that Piz buin added helioplex to all of their suncreams recently. I used to use Piz Buin for normal skin and never had a problem. Now i have started using the cream with helioplex and believe it is this that I am reactin to. I have done some research on line and belive that this is what i am reacting to.

I used Piz Ibuin Allergy and was wore a white linen top. I have been unable to remove the staining from the top. Other than this I had no side effects.

I used the PIZ Buin Tan Intensifier sun lotion factor 6. Having a reasonable good base tan felt that this product would be okay. I too have very itchy rash that comprises of red blister like lumps that are burning, I am taking anti histermines and steroid cream to settle this down. I have used PIZ Buin before but due to this unpleasant experience will not be using it again.

Having used Biz Buin Allergy in the past - which was perfectly fine for my sun sensitive skin - I have twice come up with the worst skin rash/heat rash from only a couple of hours in the UK sun. I can recommend using Uvistat which I used to use but it is not generally available off the shelf. You can either get it on prescription - which is cheaper. Or ask for it over the Pharmacy counter. I have just paid out £12.60 for it but as I go on holiday this wk, I can't possibly risk any mor ...

I am so surprised that when I googled sun cream allergy to find all these comments that are exactly like my current condition! I too used Piz Buin 2 weeks ago and now on my 2nd course of antihistamines and 2nd course of cream, I am still so itchy and really uncomfortable, been to the doctors twice now!

I have used Piz Buin allergy for many years with no problems until last October (2008) when I came out in an itchy rash during a holiday in Cyprus. I was not sure of the cause, but couldn't believe it was a product I'd used for so long (and because the rash lasted for months after I stopped using it) . I used it again yesterday and am now smothered in a rash. Has anyone found an alternative as this used to be the only suncream I had found that prevented a sun rash developing?

Hi I too have been using Piz buin for years and have been more then happy. BUT I have just tryed Piz Buin Sun Lotion factor 6 with the new added HELIOPLEX. within three days I was covered in a rash which turned to raised large red painfull lumps under my skin. I had to have two different times of Allergy tablets,Hydrocortisone cream and use a Ventolin Inhaler. I am now in to my second week, so i'm hoping things get better. Custome Service at Piz Buin have been very helpful and offered an allerg ...

About 6 weeks ago we had a barbecue and the sun was really strong. I hadn't bought any new suncream so far this year so a friend offered me some of her Piz Buin In Sun Factor 30 for my bare arms. I liked the fragrance and the way it was non-oily and rubbed in easily. The next day my elbows were a little red and itchy, which I put down to being in the sun for a lot of the afternoon. A week later it was very hot again so we bought some of the same cream on a buy-one-get-one-free offer. On the last ...

I have sensitive skin and have always used Piz Buin Allergy with no problem. However, last week I went to Italy and suffered with a horrible itchy rash everywhere that I used the cream. I have another holiday soon and have no idea what cream to try - does anyone have any suggestions for sensitive skin?

Over the past few years I have developed prickly heat. I have tried absolutely everything, antihistamines, lotions, creams and potions. the only thing that minimalises it, to date, is Piz Buin Allergy Suncream.

I also have been a Piz Buin Fan for over 10 years and recently after use have been plagued by a prickly heat rash. I thought this rash was caused by aftersun lotion or shower gel. I am relieved to find others have suffered from the same problem and I am not allergic to sunbathing holiday!. May I recommend Nutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry touch is a very good alternitive.

I concurr with many of the other reviews posted.I have used Piz Buin for years and had been extremely pleased with it especially its oil free product that does not leave the swimming pool looking like an oil slick. In Portugal currently, arrived Sunday, and having used Piz Buin for 2 days I am covered in a prickly itchy rash which will be with me for some time judging by many of the other reviews.A ruined holiday. What I would like to know is what changed in the formula to cause this reaction!!!!! ...

just used piz buin 30 oil free spray uvb with helioplex. within in 4 hours I was covered in a rash and this morning I have had to get more anti histamines and eurax lotion to stop the burning and itching! I am covered in huge lumps and have a glowing red face (lovely) I do not want to go on steriods so will wait another 24 hours! Whats happened to your product? never before in all the years of having used your products and having recommended it to allergy suffers would I have thought it would ...

having used piz buin allergy for years, with no problem at all, i've recently used 1 application with the updated piz buin 'allergy' containing their new ingredient 'HELIOPLEX', and i'm now covered in a rash, taking antihistamines and a steroid cream, i'm very upset, as this revised lotion is NOT suitable for sensitive skins.

Glad I found this site.. I too bought Piz Buin in Cyprus, after always using it for years, didn't take any with me, and bought it in a local shop in Paphos, wish I hadn't! Came out in a terrible VERY itchy rash, realised it was the suncream after 2 days use, as the rash was only in the creamed areas... not in areas under swim suit. It's been 12 days since last used and I am up at 3am wanting to tear my skin into shreds! Taken anti-histamine, but not really worked. Thinking the Dr's now only solu ...

I have just come back from my holiday having used the Piz Buin Allergy lotion that states 'active protection for sun sensitive skin,' such as myself, and so I bought it. What a mistake! I have come out in the same horrible, unbearably itchy rash, as described by others, all over my body from using this product! It looks and feels like I've fallen into a bush full of stinging nettles! I do NOT recommend this product. I have sent them a letter with images in regards to this, as I don't think that ...

I have just returned from a holiday in spain and whilst I was there paid 17.90euos for Piz Buin In Sun Allergy Lotion SPF 15.I usually use Simple suntan lotion but as I live overseas could not get hold of any, so didn't want to buy a cheap lotion. I have had the worse reaction on my skin to this supposedly allergy tested cream -i haven't had it this bad for over 10years and had to cover up on the last few days of my holiday. It wasnt very hot and i have dark skin so SPF15 normally is good enough ...

I have pale skin but I do tan. Over the years I have developed a skin allergy (when in the sun I come out in a rash which itches and continues to become worse if I stay in the sun). Since using the In Sun allergy range I have enjoyed holidays with no rashes and tanned nicely. Thank you so much Piz Buin!
