“Agony of sun allergy over at last!”

Written on: 21/06/2017

I've suffered sun allergy for years, in varying degrees but a lot of the time ending up at Drs and sometimes on steroids to calm down the rash and unbearable itching. I've used this for the last few years and I can't believe how good it is! I'm just back from Andalusia and another rash free holiday. I'm surprised by the negative reviews but I would say maybe they are using too low factor for the amount of time actually in the sun - I used spf30 and spent a few hours before lunch sunbathing and… Read Full Review

“Always works for me”

Written on: 12/06/2015

I have been using Piz Buin Allergy sun lotion for years and find it's the only sun lotion that prevents my skin from coming out in a lumpy, itchy rash. I think that as I've got older my skin has become sun-sensitive and this sun lotion certainly works for me… Read Full Review

“Awful!!!”

Written on: 17/08/2014 by AdaBates217 (1 review written)

I couldn't agree more with all the reviews I suffer with prickly heat and for years have also tried so many different creams I searched internet and unfortunately didn't go on this site, I read reviews on Boots which gave this piz buin allergy a great 4+ now normally I can go nearly a week before it appears, last year I used green people which I have to say although I found it traumatising to rub in I wish I had bought that again as I went nearly two weeks in Egypt and only got a very slight… Read Full Review

My husband has had prickly heat for years and we have now stopped it by using everything perfume free ie shower gel, shampoo, deodorant and especially suntan lotion, do not be fooled by hyperallogenic or sensitive to sun ranges, you have to go for perfume free ranges . Boots Soltan do a range in a white bottle, E45 and simple and recently found one in M&S

Used Piz Buin Factor 30 Allergy in Spain. I have dark hair and olive skin and never in my life have I burned so badly that I was unable to touch the burnt areas. My legs were bright red and after a week sheets of skin peeling off my legs arms and back. I would not recommend this product… Read Full Review

“does not work (as an non allergy lotion)”

Written on: 30/06/2014 by Romeo462 (1 review written)

I am allergic to suntan lotions and was hopeful that this lotion would not cause me to come out in a rash within 24 hours of using it. Sadly, it was no better for me than any other normal (and cheaper) lotions. I have a recommendation to source lotions without lanolin, so I'm off to look that up… Read Full Review

Try a suntan lotion with out perfume such as Boots sensitive, E45 or simple and use Simple products while on holiday and don't use any product at all with any perfume in inc shampoo or conditioner and we have had no more rashes for a few years now. Our prickly heat rash was horrendous before we did this

“Thanks Piz Buin”

Written on: 19/06/2014 by BrayanBradshaw247 (1 review written)

After years of red, itchy rashes when using sun protection lotions I tried Piz Buin Allergy lotion. Fantastic. Excellent sun protection and no rash, even on my face. Easy to apply and not greasy. I can now go out in the sun, confident that I won't have the horrid red rash for a week afterwards! Thank you for developing a lotion that works… Read Full Review

“Beware of using this cream”

Written on: 05/05/2014 by Comptoner163 (1 review written)

Was given this cream as a gift and used factor 15 yesterday in Aberdeen. Today skin is hot, bumpy, red and eyes slightly swollen. It was not a particularly hot day so certain it is an allergy to the cream. I don't normally have sensitive skin so sure it is this cream… Read Full Review

“not for people with allergies!”

Written on: 18/11/2013 by holz1100 (1 review written)

please take note that Piz Buin Allergy is not for people with sensitive or allergy-prone skin!!! This product never States that it is for that, therfore people with allergic reactions are not responsible. This product is for people with SUN SENSITIVE skin aka people who are very fair and burn very easily and quickly. Don't complain about this product when you,the user, lacks the ability to read and investigate products. It says on the bottle that it is for sun sensitive skin. Come on people… Read Full Review

“One day lotion...... Contact dermatitis?”

Written on: 15/09/2013

Used this skin cream on holiday and after the first day my legs went dark red angry rash and eventually purple. My right knee then became swollen and then my ankle. The swelling took ten days to go and my legs are now itchy like hell and peeling. I convinced myself at the time I hadn't reapplied enough suncream and must have got sunburned..... But something kept telling me the texture and look of my skin wasn't like any sunburn I'd ever experienced or observed and the swelling was abnormal… Read Full Review

“AVOID This brand”

Written on: 25/08/2013

I have just got back from a two week break in the D.R. On my last day I used this product and I am now suffering the consequences. I am covered from head to toe in very itchy and angry looking spots, my face is swollen and I can't wear anything close to my skin as it burns. I will never use this sun cream again… Read Full Review

“Listen to the advice - DO NOT BUY”

Written on: 29/07/2013

I started using the products 3 weeks ago on a holiday in Cornwall. The first few days were fine, but on day 5 I had to stop using it because I became very itchy all over, even after I washed the cream off. The following week I noticed a horrible outbreak of spots and now this week I still have the itchy sensation and the spots are still there - nearly 3 weeks later! I've never had any problem with any cream or sun cream product - this stuff is nasty. The itchiness is more akin to a thistle… Read Full Review

“No more heat rash”

Written on: 23/07/2013

About 12 years ago I started to develop prickly heat whenever I sat in direct sunlight on a hot day for more than 10 minutes. Anyone who suffers from this problem knows how uncomfortable and itchy it can be, not to mention unsightly. I would then have to stay out of the sun or wear long sleeved clothes to cover up which is a nightmare when it is hot outside. The last time I went on a sun holiday was 10 years ago and I got such severe heat rash that I had to be given a steroid injection as… Read Full Review

“Agony”

Written on: 22/07/2013

I'm lying on my bed shattered, I've never slept for days, I have been in agony with this sun cream, I have lived in the shower scrubbing my skin with a face cloth to take away the pain and itch, i went to the drop in centre and was referred to the hospital where I was given steroids 120mg to try and ease it, I'm on week 2 now, I'm starting to get a little bit ease but not much, I go on holiday in 3 wks and don't know what I'm going to be able to use as a sun cream as I'm terrified it will… Read Full Review

“NEVER AGAIN!!!!!”

Written on: 20/07/2013

I have been using this sun cream as I can get prickly heat sometimes. I couldn't understand why I get the most awful red bumpy rash on my arms on some holidays then don't on others. Just been away again and bought factor 30 allergy Piz buin, thinking I would avoid any problems. Ha by day three I had the rash again so I stayed out of the sun and changed to another non allergy cream the rash calmed down and I was able to enjoy the rest of my holiday. When I look back the rash appears when I use… Read Full Review

“Pis Buin.....DANGEROUS, AVOID.”

Written on: 16/07/2013

Pis Buin is a shocking brand with zero morals. There time in court will come. We have just returned from a med holiday and the face of my wife is so swollen she is hardly recognisable We are so gutted to have missed the recent Watchdog episode where there clearly appears to be hundreds of cases of horrific consequence in using their products, worryingly by people who have no history of allergies. Having arrived in the UK, straight to A&E, they were shocked by the inflammation and feel its… Read Full Review
