I have just returned from a 2 weeks holiday and I used Piz Buin Oil free factor 30 for the first time, after a very short time of using this product I suffered a very serious allergic reaction, after nearly 2 weeks the skin condition still hasn't cleared up, I have taken antihistamine tablets and been using Steroid cream, I lived overseas for many years in the sun and I have never suffered a reaction before. I think this product should be looked into and changed before it spoils any other people's holidays.

I used Piz Buin Factor 30 (vintage2007) one weekend and the next weekend used Piz Buin Factor 30 (vintage2008):- with a very bad skin reaction, i can only assume that 2008 was a bad year, or that the product has changed in some way for the worst. This is a rotton way to find out that you are not buying the same product this year that you bought last year.

I have used Piz Buin for several years and been fine until 5 weeks ago. Oil free Factor 15 caused a severe reaction and I didnt think I had sensitive skin. It has triggered a sensitivity to the sun and I am now unable to go out in the sun without being covered and hatted. I have written to Piz Buin and they have offered to pay my costs and REPLACE my cream...ha, really going to use this product again. I have been in touch with Liz Earl and her products use only plant extracts and seem fine. Bew ...

I have for some years now used the one day Piz Buin In Sun Allergy Lotion due to not liking to re-apply. I bought 2 new bottles of factor 10 whilst back in the UK and from this I had a reaction. My doctor wanted to put me in hospital on steroids but I opted for tablets and caking myself in hydrocotisone. It took almost 2 weeks to go and living in florida you can't escape from the heat so had to spend most days inside with the a/c on full. I re-tried the cream this weekend thinking maybe it w ...

I have just bought a new bottle of factor 10 and 18 I couldnt find factor 8
What a mess my skin was in after a very short time in the sun. The formula must have changed and now I have two expensive bottles that are no use to me at all and it will be weeks before my skin recovers and I can go out in the sun again. Why do they change these formulas when they are so good.

We also used piz buin allergy lotion for our sun (5 years old). Since a few days we are using a new flacon and he has serious allergic reactions.
It's also useless to us.
Why did they change the formula???
We have to find another product...

The ;new formula is sticky and has caused in me an outbreak in urticaria which is the reason I started using the Piz Buin Allergy line at least ten years ago. It is now useless as far as I am concerned.

I have used Piz Buin SF15 Allergy for several years and thought I had found the perfect sun lotion as I suffer from prickly heat. Last year I had a bad case or prickly heat and blamed the Thalasso Pool, but sadly this year it has happened again.
I made sure I had bought new bottles but as they don't have a use by date of them you are unaware of how long they have been in the shop. I shall now have to try and find a new product

I take prickly heat very easily and the only product I have used with success is Piz buin Allergy. My whole family use it including the kids. I ran out on holiday one year in Dominican Republic and couldn't get Piz Buin Allergy. I thought after 10 days in the sun I'd be okay with another lotion, but I got prickly heat after only a few hours of using a non allergy product, so Piz Buin really does what it says on the tin

Smells lovely, goes on well, soaks in but comes back to the surface in water and seems to act as a barrier between skin and water.

I tan well & quickly but since an unfortunate encounter many years ago with a PABA-based sunscreen, have a tendency to come out in red, raised bumps unless I use a sunscreen designed for sun-induced allergies. Piz Buin stops this, and as I can get it in SPF 8 I can continue with my usual tanning routine. I've also successfully used Simple Sunscreen (allergy formula) but it's not easy to find abroad if I run out, whereas Piz Buin is available everywhere.
