BEWARE : the BMIBABY hold luggage standard size is smaller than that of RyanAir / Easyjet etc.. so although you may be used to your regular hold luggage going on other flights without problems, BMIBABY will charge you £30 for the pleasure of carrying it !If you do online checkin, you will only realise this once you are at the boarding gate, and the BMIBABY staff bring out a "tester frame" significantly smaller than the regular ones (my bag passed the Ryanair tester frame at the neighbouring gate AND the airport tester frame at security). So you are left with no option but to stump up the £30 or miss the flight. A total rip off. Will never fly with them again. For info, I'm a frequent business flyer France to UK with RyanAir, Easyjet, AirFrance etc. not a holidaymaker with a bag full of souvenirs or duty-free.

I booked a flight with BMI baby back in February this year to fly to Malaga, I am due to fly in two weeks, I received an email a couple of days ago as we opted for on line checking and they asked for passport details for Spanish Immigration, I thought fair enough, logged on and they have got incorrect initial for my husband, I called them and explained that I hadnt done and explained the I.T. issues with their website as it kept crashing when I booked the flight. I had to pay £105.50 to ch ...

I made a booking for me and a friend with BMI Baby. Unfortunately I found out post booking that her name is different on her passport. I expected to pay a reasonable admin charge to make this amendment but they said it's a flat £100! At no point during the booking process does it mention this and when you ring the 0901 65p a min number to speak to someone about it they said it's in the FAQ's section at the bottom left! They've only just changed it recently (within the last month). The cal ...

sure i will tell my friends not to fly with bmi baby because bmi baby will rip people off one way or another:- they charged me, and some more people, another 10 pounds cause 1) i didn't check in 3 hours before departure & 2) because they said i didn't check in online (i did on the internet!). besides it's crazy to pay 10 pounds more because of the "total price" . bmi baby didn't care and didn't understand and i wanted to go home.- 2 persons have to bring along 1 bag, or else you will pay for one ...

Dreadful experience, flew from Manchester to Amsterdam BMI Baby try very hard to charge you extra for hold baggage (made me force my hand luggage into a tiny slot to prove it was below the size limit - but the bins on the aircraft were much bigger!). Staff on the plane were rude and the plane was only 20% full, god knows what they would have been like if busy, i know its a low cost airline, but when did being polite start costing money? Flight home at 7pm was cancelled and we were told we could ...

I have read here on the reviews that BMI allows 20 kilos per person just as I and other passengers assumed untill we were travelling back and saw chaos in the BMI que, EVERYBODY had to either take stuff out of their cases or pay extra because it is now 18 kgms, we were all baffled as to when this reduction happened, I had to pay £30.00 for luggage when I booked the flight and was so sure it was 20kgms, beware, they also take advantage that people cannot take their own beverages on board, ...

BMI BABY - CANCELLATION OF FLIGHTS BMI BABY - Heard the announcement from BMI Baby in Febuary of the new route from Cardiff to Almeria. Booked 3 flights and several friends and family members booked their flights as they were being booked very quickly. Looking forward to our flight in 6 weeks so devasted to receive an email yesterday informing me that all flights are cancelled due to operational reasons and I will refunded in the next 28 days. From another forum, another unhappy client only dis ...

The only problem i have had with BMI Baby was i was flying back from holland (which i do quite regular) and we had to land at east midlands instead of birmingham. But BMI had a coach outside waiting for us as soon as we landed. Coach was great. brand new comfy. Couldnt of asked for anymore. People expect 5* from a 1* low fare line. If you want the 5* go to another company instead of moaning about a plane company u pay pennies for. You get what you pay for. A well loved old plane. Staff are frie ...

With BMI Baby if nothing goes wrong it's bearable, but the minute anything went wrong the staff I dealt with seemed very unhelpful towards me and the so called customer service number was impossible to get through to any time I tried and is a premium rate number anyway!! In flight magazine included article from CEO that talked about financial performance without mentioning customer service once!! Your planes are full of customers mate, not investors!! The in flight menu claims that their plast ...

I can honestly say there was nothing I would say pleased me about BMI Baby. Where do I start my original return flight from Malaga was cancelled they offered me another flight the next day when I tried to get through to customer services it took three days to get to speak to someone. On our way out to Malaga from Manchester the airport was shrouded in fog so we were expecting a delay, while sitting in the lounge in terminal three we noticed all the flights prior to ours were showing a delay the ...

Staff were kind, seats were quite good and in good condition and the flights were on time. The selection of food isn't great and it's well overpriced. Bmibaby is a good airline, good service and quite good value

Booked with BMIBaby to fly to Palma for my son's 18th birthday. Guess what? Flight cancelled. No reason given. Alternative flight offered was 7 days in advance of the original flight, so we'd be flying back on my son's birthday! Went with them to Rome two years ago. They lost all our luggage - 5 bags! Never again, will spend a bit more and travel with another airline.

I flew to Moscow from Dublin via Heathrow and on both legs BMI lost my luggage. In my experience contacting their customer service team has been a complete joke with little or no satisfactory response, their service personnel continually make delivery promises which they don't deliver on. It's a real shame as the connection times and prices for this flight are good but when they have to deal with an issue their service has been lethargic and very unreliable

Bmibaby cancelled our flights with no explanation. I had to pay to be on hold for 30 minutes in order to reject the ridiculous alternative flights they suggested (to a different city, flying back 3 days later than booked!) They then took more than two weeks to refund our money and when they did, they kept about £20 of it, again with no explanation. I will NEVER use them again.

We flew to Edinburgh Friday 26th Sept for the weekend and got back yesturday with BMI Baby and could honestly say that it was a good trip. Both the flights were on time. The cabin crew were friendly and the plane seats were very comfy (prob cos the planes are ex-British Midland and have had quite a few bums on them!) we would definetly fly with bmi baby again.

Appalling. On Monday 15th September I was appalled to find out that my mother couldn't fly from Belfast international to Cardiff to visit her brothers grave. The passengers where on the flight and the plane was moving on the run way. It then was taxied back to where it had started from. The passengers could not be taken off the plane cause the stairs and luggage removers where being used on anther flight. They rescheduled the flight to Tuesday 16th Sept on Tuesday we arrived to find that it was ...
