Good Points: very good cruiser, excellent fuel consumption on the motorway.very roomy and comfy inside.
Bad Points: parts very expensive to get(especially if only made by vauxhall.), heater matrix prone to breakdown. tyres wear quite easy
General comments: dont envy any readers getting a fault with a Vauxhall Omega 3.0 Elite. had a water leak which eventually led to the engine having its heads skimmed and re built. also, pray, your heater matrix doesnt go and you lose your heating. phone up vauxhall and ask them for a quote.

I own a 1997 elite Vauxhall Omega estate auto. I have had it for 5 months and cant really fault it. The car has 150k and still runs excellent. It came with full history so the miles are warranted. These models are 30k new and have all the toys, all of which work on mine. Overall a luxury estate car for a fraction of its new price.- Read Guest's review (84 words)

Wonderful car, amazing performance, would recommend to anyone, great value for money, if you drive the elite people who know about cars notice it. But otherwise the car blends in well.- Read cookieness's review (76 words)

The Vauxhall Omega Elite is a superb car for all uses. Better than any car we have ever owned and driven. A great car on minor roads and motorways. For a 3litre car, it is good on MPG 34 on motorways has been achieved at legal limits and 31.6 on a cross country run of 380 miles. The only things that lets it down slightly is that the indicator flashing lights on the dashboard are not too good on the visibility and the reversing lights are not powerful enough. Other than that, a joy to drive.- Read The Norman's review (108 words)

If you're not so green then this is a great car. It blends nicely into the traffic whilst being a real 'wolf in sheeps' clothing. It's a real shame that Vauxhall have stopped making this model. It's great on the motorway, very comfortable and just eats up the miles.- Read cariberia's review (71 words)

I love the Vauxhall Omega, its growling v6 sounds glorious, and I cant stop smiling about my 'cheap secret' It always gets a second look, but there again I keep it looking clean and shiny. I love this car.- Read chrisbill's review (84 words)

Have now owned a 1997 Vauxhall Omega 3.0 Elite estate for three months. Chose one as I was fed up with MPV mundaneness! It suits the family well with enough luxury and space for everyone...especially the heated seats for the kids! Fuel economy is a little low but with 3.0l you can't expect much anyway. No problems or niggles just lots of satisfaction especially at the price I paid for it!- Read rcp's review (79 words)

My Vauxhall Omega 3.0 Elite Executive Car was magic grey and looked very stylish. Interior was better equipped than the starship enterprise and electronic rear sunblind was a blast (though pointless). Aircon, CD stacker, excellent hi-fi with Bose speakers, sat nav, heated seats x 4, xenon headlights, etc, etc, etc. Servicing costs were minimal. 32 to a gallon on long trips. 60,000 miles and no problems. 150mph. Supremely comfortable and handles well. Even my BMW owning friends really rate the ca ...- Read advertiser's review (127 words)

My Vauxhall Omega 3.0 Elite is a 1997 model and has done just 78000 miles from new with a full service history. I have always liked the Omega and when this one came up, I just had to buy it! And I have not been dissapointed!
With full leather interior, Heated seats all round, climate control, cruise control and trip computer it would be good enough for any executive. Add to that a sun roof, full closure of glass on remote, a boot the size of France, a first aid kit and warning triangle, it ma ...- Read Rumour's review (190 words)
