Good Points: Cheap cars, low overhead, friendly staff
Bad Points: Show room looks a bit tatty, carpet didn't fit showroom
General comments: I purchased my car from the Gateshead branch of Carshock, which is very close to the MetroCentre. I went in on the way back from shopping, they have plenty of cars on site of all makes, some new, some used. I was looking for a new Renault Megane. The salesman who I dealt with was friendly and helpful. I made sure that the finance option was explained to me properly after having been burnt by high finance in the past. I got a fantastic rate on a car that was already cheaper than others I had seen in the area. The overall look of the site isn't very plush but as their literature explains, they try and maintain low overheads.
Overall I'm please with the service and the car has been excellent.

I have dealt with the Carshock Car Supermarket at Gosforth and Darlington. OK - they have portakabins at Newcastle and what looked like part of an old RAF building at Darlo but the service, cars, friendly staff all helped to make both purchases a delight.
I have had no problems with the excellent service department at Watson Ford in Marske over the fact that cars were imports and covered by the European 2 Year warranty. Just steer clear of that awful Jennings outlet at Middlesbrough.
